    You're very welcome Ed. But you deserve the thanks for providing us viewers with great content in your videos not to mention no vulgar language in the videos so all ages can watch. I remember this pond overhaul. It looks really nice and as you stated it appears like its been there for years I appreciate your knowledge of the eco systems in and around the ponds, very informative.

    Hi Ed, nice to see Hawley again, looks great especially on the long shot when you was using the cloverleaf with the large Hydranger on the left of the shot, your tip on removing spent waterlilly flowers is good l have expierienced the oil slick in the past.

      @@CrystalClearAquatics I really enjoy your work Ed . Where else could we go and get real information and a hands on pond build tutorial. This is my go to You Tube channel.
      It reminds me of TV shows from 1990's ponds and gardens etc on PBS But the shows originate from the UK and surrounding areas. Keep up the awesome work.

    Gold fish eat duckweed :)

    • @CrystalClearAquatics
      @CrystalClearAquatics  2 месяца назад

      Hi there, thanks for watching and commenting. Although some goldfish and koi may consume small quantities of the smaller delicate young duckweed plants, if conditions are favourable for the plant it will quickly colonise and take over the entire pond surface. I work on many ponds with duckweed issues, most of which house goldfish and other cyprinids, and have had no positive impact on the pesky plant. The only reliable method of control is manual removal. Some people say grass carp are a natural duckweed control, however in my experience grass carp will happily eat most of the other pond plants as well!
