Stained Glass Sugar Cookies Using Jolly Ranchers

These stained glass sugar cookies are a super fun recipe to make with the family for special occasions such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, or Halloween. They are a crisp cookie which can be eaten or even strung as ornaments/decorations if a small hole is pocked into the cookie prior to baking, using a tooth pick. To take these cookies to the next level, follow the last few steps to create a "shaker" using two cookies and sprinkles! These cookies are crisp due to the addition of corn starch so that they do not expand during baking.
Recipe:
~ 1 1/2 cups flour 200g, sifted
~ 1/2 cup corn starch 80g, sifted
~ 1/4 tsp salt 2g
~ 1/2 cup sugar 100g
~ 1 egg
~ 1/3 tsp vanilla extract 3mL
~ 1/2 cup unsalted butter 113g
