Look up all of the records this man holds. He’s the GOAT of country music.
King George will be 72 in May. He is one of our state treasures. He's a rancher and he was a team roper. A troubadour is a traveling entertainer of medieval times.
This man has 60 #1 Hits. You can never go wrong with George.
A troubadour is a French term for a travelling poet/musician. Sadly, George & his wife Norma lost their young daughter in a car accident in 1986. It's hard to believe it was 38 years ago hearing that awful news. I've been a big fan of his & felt so bad for them.
Please react to George Strait THE CHAIR, He teaches you how smooth he is with the women.
Troubadour in more recent definitions is a traveling poet/musician
Greatest country singer ever....that's why he's called King George
Try Fireman or The Chair by George Strait. Basically anything by George. He's#1 for a reason. ❤
The king of country ... KING GEORGE 🤴
George is known as King George & he does have a fun song called 'All my exes live in Texas'. Check out another side of George. LOL Also, a Troubadour is basically a traveling poet/singer/entertainer. Like what you were reading, they traveled from town-to-town like gypsies centuries ago, entertaining those that could afford to pay, including Kings, Lords & Earls etc. LOL Troubadours have been around for centuries. LOL George is the best. No flash, just smooth, down-home lyrics & a voice that could rock you to sleep.
King George is a legend
Welcome to Texas and Country Royalty! King George. Forever traditional country, never forgetting who he is or where he came from. Not One Bad Song!
National Treasure.
You should definitely checkout "All my Ex's Live in Texas" or "Amarillo by Morning"
A personal suggestion for you would be: Run.

King George
A troubadour is a story telling singer
George Strait has been in county music since 1981. He is referred to as the King of country. Most country music is about life. Not so much today's country, it's more pop music recorded in Nashville
Great reaction! So glad to see you listening to George Strait. He is a country treasure. Please check out "The Chair " or "You Look So Good in Love" Thanks in advance.
Yes! "The Chair" is his best song!
This track features another country legend, Vince Gill, on the background vocals. You gotta check him out. “When I Call Your Name.” His voice is smooooth.
As far back as the middle ages, it was common for musicians and singers to travel from town to town giving performances for money. In those days it might just be one guy with a lute. The troubadour would usually write his own material. You might call it the early version of today’s touring bands. Today’s musicians are looking for stardom. Back then the troubadour’s hope was to get a permanent job as a performer in the king’s court.
🤠🔥🤠
troubadour is a poet and son writer
A troubadour was a composer and performer of Old Occitan lyric poetry during the High Middle Ages. Since the word troubadour is etymologically masculine, a female troubadour is usually called a trobairitz.
Respect !
So many great country artist out there. My favorite Era is 90's. Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks are great. Newer '00s artists that are pretty great Zach Brown Band, Craig Morgan (what I love about Sundays is the best!!), and Brantley Gilbert.
I'm really showing my age by what is consider "newer" right now 😅
A strolling minstrel
50 plus #1 and he feels he still needs to make his name known humble
