So what do you do with all those empty bottles? George Strait is probably the most respected country singer. I mean the guy just makes good authentic traditional country songs and lives his life without drama. No one even knows the guys net worth and he's gotta be the wealthiest country singer ever. He's not out there for the fame or changing the way he sounds, no gimmicks. He's a real blessing because as long as he's around then country music still hangs in there by a thread. He's one of the very few OG's that can still get on mainstream radio and CMT and all that and that's a very good thing because mainstream country music is on life support imo.
George Straight won a Grammy for this song. Straight has had over 60 number one hit singles in his career more than any other artist. There is a reason why he is the king of country.
Finest man in country music that has ever graced us!!! I don't care how old he gets, like fine wine he gets better with time! Love me some King George!!❤️❤️❤️
THE OG!! King George!! Love him. Try Amarillo By Morning, The Chair, Nobody in His Right Mind, Baby Blue. Also, George has been performing for 33 years and has had 60 - YES 60 number 1 hits!!
Just look up his #1 hits. He is literally the King of country music. He leads the group of real country artists. The men who can just stand there and sing and have thousands of people mesmerized. He roped in rodeos and sang at a lot of rodeos. AMARILLO BY MORNING is still sung by every up and coming country artist. He is the one and only George Strait. ❤️
Legendary. ‘The Fireman’ and ‘The Chair’ are 2 y’all would probably really enjoy! But good grief there are SO many to choose from!!! ‘Weight of the Badge’ comes to mind…
@@JoeyBlueTx I used to sing that to my boys when they were little, and my oldest son and I danced to it for the mother/son dance at his wedding last June.
When George went into the hall of fame George Jones was there to induct him. Jones said that Strait was the king of country. Strait said the only king of country music was Jones
I’ve been so excited for your first George Strait song…and this was a fabulous one to start with. Another one I’d like to recommend is his duet with Alan Jackson…”Murder on Music Row”…fans loved it, the industry not so much…it’s about the shift from traditional country to “pop” country. And GS has so many amazing songs, it’s hard to make a list.
George Straight has 60 number one hits, more than any other performer in history out of all genres. That's combining Billboard with Mediabase. You Look So Good In Love is a great one.
trou·ba·dour /ˈtro͞obəˌdôr,ˈtro͞obəˌdo͝or/ noun a French medieval lyric poet composing and singing in Provençal in the 11th to 13th centuries, especially on the theme of courtly love. Lol probably a little too much, sorry I've had 2 glasses of bourbon my self. 😳
Troubadour is a composer and performer of lyrical poetry. Love what you guys are doing. I like hearing new perspectives on music I love and grew up listening to.
Love me some King George! I advise you to go back to his roots as a "rodeo" artist, songs that come to mind are Amarillo By Morning, and I Can Still Make Cheyenne. The Chair and Baby Blue are also great songs to add to your queue
Troubadour is what was considered a knightly poet or lryical court singer primarily in France, a fancy bard. Hmmm it sounds like one of you really likes Bourbon. Science!! "You shouldn't gulp this".... First thing I tell my friends, "Hey guys!..you should gulp this"...
Love this song! Weird you say it's about life. Years ago my nephew (by marriage) shot himself in the head. His Mom had this George Strait song played at his funeral, so I always think of him when I hear it. Yesterday an ex-worker of mine shot herself in the head. I'm still in shock even though I haven't seen her in years! I'm sad for all those involved! My biological father (who did not raise me) also shit himself in the head in 2011. This song is definitely about life & death to me.
Now that’s country music 🎶 The King of country, probably why he made it since I was 13 and now 50 something…lol. Get told all the time when my husband wears his cowboy hat that he looks like a younger version of George Strait when he shaves 🤦🏼♀️
Please George Jones A picture of me with out you. I grew up in a house with country music. Then I had the rock that I listed to. Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd plus many more great rock bands. I learned the love of country music at a young age. Brady Paisley and Dolly Parton, When I get to where I'm going. Love the content carry on.
Hey guys love your reaction show.Have a suggestion video for you,Seminole wind by John Anderson .This one blew me away 20 years ago ,and still does today,a absolute musical masterpiece.
There's a reason that George strait is called the King & country music 61 number one songs has a lot to do with it a lot of it is just that man is country right down the toes of his boots
Y'all should really check out Randy Travis, "He walked on Water", "Three wooden crosses", "Forever and Ever Amen". You really can't pick a bad Randy Travis song. I don't know if you have tried Booker's bourbon, but it's one of my all time favorites.
all my exs live in texas was 1 of his biggest hits to date he has 60+ number 1 songs thats saying something .... saw him in concert back in 09 he had little big town open for him
