I don't think Hasbro could do a better sandman than select did that figure in my opinion is so good and it fits in well with legends

We’re living in a time of crazy prices , where when new versions of pre-existing figures are released, they sometimes cost more at retail then the older figures do on the aftermarket.

Excited to watch this, just picked up a Rocket/baby Groot from the Mantis Wave with no BAF for $15, a Cap from the Fat Thor for $20, and a Thing from Super Skrull line for $30. In Canada they retail for $29.99/32.99 so some of those pickups were nice considering their online value

I've thought of making a video showing the scale of how many figs they still have, they are still selling the Gladiator Hulk (Thor Ragnorak line) for retail, a bunch of old ones with No BAF, and sometimes still sealed for amazing deals. Picked up Star Lord from the first GOTG line for $35 sealed there

I despise people who brag about their plastic "investments" . Truth is, if you were to sell your "treasures" nobody will ever pay what you are asking for, not even in rainy days. Trust me, I've been there.

The Wrecking crew were hasbro released in 2012, 2013, and 2016
Nemesis is also hasbro and was released in 2008.
It's only that very small period of 8 years that I'm fuzzy on! :)

I’ve got 4 full sentinels and half of one built. It’s a costly army build if you want a army of sentinels. But a master mold with an army of sentinels would be insane 👌👌

Don’t agree with the fantastic four Walgreens assessment because they have things that they are not going to feature again (herbie and black and blue classic uniforms, the fully flamed out human torch, the classic face sculpts). I don’t know how they’re going to make a good galactus now since they made the sentinel galactus sized (the original sentinel boxed set with Wolverine from days of future past is the correct size. The new release is mastermold size at LEAST!). Sometimes Hasbro makes mistakes in sizing (like all these wolverine figures being cyclops height when they should be way shorter like nightcrawler size or shorter.) I don’t think that all these figures will drop off in price although many would (like the wrecking crew most definitely) if they do release new versions. Doc ock won’t see a release like that original release in the green and yellow outfit. If he gets a redone figure expect a white suit or a lab coat or something like that but no green and yellow. There’s gonna be many other releases but people will always have their favorites and there’s always gonna be a consensus on which look is the best. The best look usually holds its value and keeps a hefty price tag on it like the thunderbolts crossbones with the Gatling gun or the sdcc raft abomination figures. Even non exclusive figures like radioactive man and white vision are sought after and figures that pop up on new shows and in movies like baron zemo keep a huge asking price for them. That’s why you gotta buy what you like and not what’s hot at the time.
That's definitely the best advice all round. Buy what you like and not what's popular. You gotta go with what sparks joy in you personally and then you can't go too far wrong!

Hoping the FF and Surfer Walgreen versions will be released on Retro cards to go with the Retro Dr. Doom, it's the Retro Dr. Doom which gives me hopes. I think it would be a good business decision for Hasbro, and they seem to be good about squashing the scalping after market which helps the collector market.
Retro Doom definitely felt like an exciting hint as to what's to come!

Hey Cypher, that's a fair point. I think I might have been exaggerating with the term spoiler though, I think this is more in the 'early reveal' category. The kind of images on lego sets are things you'll see on toy's, t-shirts, posters and trailers long before the movie does come out. It's just revealing them a little sooner than the movie marketing team might have planned. What do you think? Is this too much of a reveal? Is it somethingI should edit out? I mean if Lego had released a 'Dead Tony Stark' or 'Old Steve Rogers' Lego play set months before Endgame then that would definitely qualify as a spoiler!

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour, I guess it's okay. It's just that some people (me) avoid trailers and toy press releases in order to not learn things like these. It may be extreme, especially compared to other people who even seek out leaks and all of that, I know, but you just mentioned why; people creating this material reveal a lot of things.
Back when I used to collect Marvel figures, I used to have most of the figures you've listed here. My marvel select Watcher wasn't that great... they packaged him too soon or something, and the paint on his glove was "glued" to his cape and required a repaint after peeling it apart.
Also, the Nemesis BAF was .... not good. He was pretty fragile and felt cheaply made.
Yeah I heard that the hinges on the mask / shell would often break so it's hard to find one in good condition.

I purchased Uatu about 10 years ago. He was a little pricey then for a Select. I think around $50. Glad I got him, he's awesome. But I don't think I could justify $200 for him now.

The thing I wonder is if Hasbro would make him? I could see where he and Damon Hellstrom could be problematic at retail. Cause of the religious aspect. My fear is Hasbro might deem them to controversial for retail. Who knows though. Possibly a SDCC Set?

I don't care about $-value, my figures bring me joy like a 1st place trophy. Some figures I don't know, but I love doing the research on them. As long as it put a smirk, chuckle,smile the figure did its job. And that to me is value.😁
That's the spirit! That's why I love doing the legacy reviews. They encourage me to research figures in my collection that would otherwise be shelf fillers.
If that Nemesis thing is correct, I might have to sell him soon. I don't sell stuff, but I don't really like Age of Apocalypse, and I've only kept that Nemesis because it was a gift from a friend who I barely speak with now, so...
I'd sell it if I was you, specially if the helmet hinges are still intact as that is a common in fault in that figure.. They break easily but its your one is in good condition then you'll make a nice penny for it.
Hey if you really don't have any particular affection for it then you should definitely look to sell it....or donate it to a British youtuber...? :)

Ok so one of my favorite storylines is age of apocalypse and I love the 4 horsemen of apocalypse and I want to get all 4 of them as marvel legends but do they have figures of them

It’s all about timing on a lot of these hard to get figures. I caught the BAF bug with Space Venom and was able to get all the figures from the wave at below retail price. Had I waited any longer I’d have been doing what you did, pay through the nose for Hobgoblin. In my opinion, the Space Venom wave is about as solid as you can find, possibly besting the heavily lauded Juggernaut wave.
Space Venom is one of the few gaps in my collection. I've seen him for sale a few times but just never felt too motivated to pay what people were asking.

I disagree my friend. A perfect example of this would be Juggernaut wave Rogue. She was regularly selling gif around the £70 mark. Now since the new one was released she goes for around £40. The same is occurring with the Toy box MODOK BAF. He’s seen a reduction in price since the Hasbro one was announced.
