Really cool. I looked into that same clutch kit for the same reasons on my shovel, but for the money went with the clutch tamer style kit from V-Twin. I might later go with the diaphragm spring style kit if this one doesn't work out the way I want it to. I've got it installed but haven't test rode it yet due to all the rain we've been having lately. Will be trying it out this evening or tomorrow morning.
That loctite is super important, that nut will be off and your clutch hub behind it. It won't take long.I helped a friend of mine put this on a late shovel. He put on the hub nut, torqued it to spec and we finished the job. We adjusted the clutch, took it around the block a few times, and realized it was not loctited. I took it apart this afternoon, the clutch hub nut required about 10 lbs of torque to remove. Don't forget the loctite.
I installed this exact Rivera Primo Clutch in my 1972 FLH Shovelhead several years ago. It is one of the best upgrades I ever did. Shifting is better in every gear and clutch adjustments hold for years. It is also easier to hold the clutch lever. It is a great improvement with no downsides. Thanks for sharing!
Hellp great tech. v[deos. Just wanted to ask, where you got the air cleaner cover? I also have a shovel and also what type of air cleaner element. Thanks I'll keep watching for more learning.

That’s a sweet setup. With the addition of the new components did you consider checking the shimming behind the compensator sprocket to ensure the belt is still properly aligned?
Great question. I did check the belt alignment and it was the same as before. I could of or should have included this in the video but I put this in a previous video and its actually hard to get the camera in position and only discussed.

There might be other solutions. Anything is better than the original design.

and also.......ive noticed starting seems easier as the plates equally grab through the kick rotation

Do you like the Primo clutch over OEM? They seem similar ?
I can’t tell if you are joking.
Stock clutch sucks, any Diaphragm clutch works better
True.
