You made this so simple to understand and the pictures definitely helped. I was getting so bored of doing the simple 2 lace square ones and now I can do this one! Thanks for making it easy!

Can you help me out? Mine is turning out something like a square stitch and nothing like a lanyard. It's not twisted tho there is a proper checkerboard pattern.

Mine also ended up straight, I'm not sure why, the only different thing I'm doing weeving from the top rather than the bottom but that shouldn't change anything since everything is still in the same spot

When we take it from our fingertips, we gotta pull the strings simultaneously, also, for the stitches, we have to start with the 2nd string and then weave the 1st. Same way, the 4th string goes before the 3rd...
      I hope this helps...😊😊

Paperclips work if you don't have a lanyard clip as a temporary substitute in these kinds of tutorials. Just in case there are those out there feeling like a lost soul with not having a clip in these sets of circumstances.
    🤷🏼‍♀️
(P.S. I shall make it my life's mission to make my rounds with collecting those lost souls as soon as I can...within reason of course.)

@@ljk6975 Mine is showing a checkerboard pattern but the end result is something like a box stitch and not twisty. Idk where I'm going wrong, tried multiple times.

You can actually do either with this pattern but the way to get it twisty is to make the longer string (the dark purple) to not go directly across the piece but to go diagonally
