Hi Gabrielle and greetings from the UK. The way you opened today is so true. When my wife passed in February, I knew that I didn’t want to see my future as bleak. I wanted to see all the good things that we’d share over the years and take them all with me into the future. Yes, it did take me a while to begin painting again but I knew that I had to be gentle with myself and allow my emotions to play out slowly. You must know from what I’ve already shared that channels such as yours help enormously in that. So thank you again Gabrielle, I wish you and yours well, as I do all your many followers and may I remind anyone who needs to hear it - remember to be gentle with yourself. God bless to all. ☺️
Condolences on the loss of your wife. Losing a loved one is very difficult and I commend you in wanting to remember and bring with you the good things you both shared over the years. You are a wise man. I'm sure your wife must be smiling down at you from above. 🙂

Amazing! I adore this painting and all the thought, emotion and skill that went into it. I feed a crow family in my garden and the biggest of them trusts me enough to get close. He calls out if I am late with the food and peeks in through the window to find me! I feel blessed to have them in my world. I love this one and have a set of watercolors but am to intimidated to try them. The raven is too advanced for me, but the rocks and sky is doable. Thank you for sharing that even experienced artist have feelings of doubts and misgivings. Makes me feel a bit about myself in retrospect.
Hi Elora 💕🤗 I wish could have had more time to show you how I got my raven on my watercolor paper (but my video would have probably been twice as long 😂). Even if you don't feel comfortable drawing, you can take a picture of whatever subject you would like to paint, print it to the scale you would like and the transferring part is very easy. The process really does not need to be as complex as I sometimes make it for myself 😉 Here's a video I found here on RUclips that explains three easy ways to do this type of transfer: ruclips.net/video/fN-VtUBC7Ys/видео.htmlsi=bnh5jHaIsqXqezzX. The first one @Jamieclarkart explains, is very similar to what I did after creating the image I wanted to use for my painting. My biggest suggestion here is to try to avoid the temptation of copying too many details (especially if you are working from a photo). Too many details, especially when working on a relatively small project like this one can actually complicate rather than simplify the process. I usually find the contour and a few very simple details are more than enough to serve as guides. And, try not to feel like you are cheating by doing an image transfer - many artists do this type of image transferring to make it faster to get to the painting process. ☺️ This is not to say that there is no value in learning to sketch, because there definitely is. However, you'd be surprised just how much you can also learn from studying the contours of objects in this way. And if for some reason this still feels like it's too soon for you to try, that's ok too! Be gentle with yourself and enjoy every minute of your creative journey. ❤️ Thank you so much for being here with me. 🤗
I am really enjoying watching you paint on your videos. Just watching you is calming, besides being inspirational. I am learning more about using watercolor, which I am new to. I usually do abstracts and most often am using acrylics and alcohol ink as well as collage and sometimes mixing these. Thank you for taking the time to share your work and process. Wow, I am in awe! The raven is stunning, I have just recently made friends with crow and raven images! Previously, I felt that they were dark, like underworld and the movie ‘The Birds’ terrified me when I was young! They made me uneasy but I realize that they are highly intelligent and regal. They were often present in scary movies and that didn't sit well with me. 😂 (It probably helps that I stopped watching scary movies a long time ago!) For this painting, I printed an image I created to the scale I wanted for my painting. Then, I transferred the outline of the printed raven image and sketched in a few details to help guide me in my painting process. ☺️ Its relatively easy to do and I will have to show you all how I do it sometime! Ma soeur peint des petites roches avec des caractères et une boutique lui a demandé si elle aimerait en vendre. Une de ces pierres est un lion. 🙂Moi, après avoir cessé de peindre ces derniers 4 ans, j'ai eu le goût de ressortir mes pinceaux - haha. Cette fois, je m'essaie dans l'aquarelle et dans l'abstrait. Ce qui m'avait découragé 4 ans passés sont les commentaires que je recevais. Aujourd'hui lorsque mon mari fait un commentaire, je lui dis que je le fais pour moi et non pour les autres. Peut-être que je pourrai apprendre de bonnes techniques avec beaucoup de pratique. À mercredi prochain! 🥰

Jeg forstår fullstendig bekymringen din for å male gjenstander 😉 Fordi vi allerede vet hvordan de "skal se ut", kan det virkelig være veldig skummelt å forsøke å male en slik gjenstand. Jeg anser meg selv som en perfeksjonist innen rehabilitering 😂 Av denne grunn har jeg en tendens til å være veldig hard mot meg selv også når jeg maler noe mer representativt. Mange av oss bærer sår knyttet til kreativitet. Min går tilbake til å gå i første klasse og ønsker å imponere læreren min og ikke være særlig vellykket. Derfor tror jeg å male på en mer abstrakt måte kan være helbredende. Når det ikke er noen forventning, kan vi slippe presset vi legger på oss selv på grunn av disse sårene. Samtidig jobber jeg med å gi slipp på denne forestillingen om perfeksjon som jeg påtvinger meg selv. Det er så mye skjønnhet i merkene bare vi kan lage som enkeltpersoner. Så derfor tror jeg det er viktig for meg å også trene på å male figurer og gjenstander. Jeg ønsker å gi mine egne unike karakterer en sjanse til å vises i kunstverket mitt. Vær forsiktig med deg selv og omfavn din kreative reise slik du ønsker at den skal utfolde seg. Det er ingen rett eller gal måte å gjøre dette på så lenge du ærer deg selv i prosessen. And and I believe that truly there There should be a balance in life when it comes to anything for everybody.Achieving that balance the Ying &Yang If that's the correct way to spell it or save a balance in life when it comes to all areas and things in your life. Hace pocos dias publicó un short sobre música ... no solo pinta, si no que también toca la guitarra ... muuucha energia ... hihihihi Espero que esté bien. Sobre los signos del zodiaco .....Mis ascendientes no los conozco, pero según mi madre soy una Cáncer "de manual" .... I understand and can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you clarifying this all for me! 😂 Some times the messages are not so clear, but I think I get that you are either dictating into your phone or sometimes typing using your phone's keypad (they are so small and not so user friendly, right?!) and this makes it hard. Yes, it did take me a while to begin painting again but I knew that I had to be gentle with myself and allow my emotions to play out slowly. You must know from what I’ve already shared that channels such as yours help enormously in that. Condolences on the loss of your wife. Losing a loved one is very difficult and I commend you in wanting to remember and bring with you the good things you both shared over the years. You are a wise man. I'm sure your wife must be smiling down at you from above. 🙂

Amazing! I adore this painting and all the thought, emotion and skill that went into it. I feed a crow family in my garden and the biggest of them trusts me enough to get close. He calls out if I am late with the food and peeks in through the window to find me! I feel blessed to have them in my world. I love this one and have a set of watercolors but am to intimidated to try them. The raven is too advanced for me, but the rocks and sky is doable. Thank you for sharing that even experienced artist have feelings of doubts and misgivings. Makes me feel a bit about myself in retrospect.
Hi Elora 💕🤗 I wish could have had more time to show you how I got my raven on my watercolor paper (but my video would have probably been twice as long 😂). Even if you don't feel comfortable drawing, you can take a picture of whatever subject you would like to paint, print it to the scale you would like and the transferring part is very easy. The process really does not need to be as complex as I sometimes make it for myself 😉 Here's a video I found here on RUclips that explains three easy ways to do this type of transfer: ruclips.net/video/fN-VtUBC7Ys/видео.htmlsi=bnh5jHaIsqXqezzX. The first one @Jamieclarkart explains, is very similar to what I did after creating the image I wanted to use for my painting. My biggest suggestion here is to try to avoid the temptation of copying too many details (especially if you are working from a photo). Too many details, especially when working on a relatively small project like this one can actually complicate rather than simplify the process. I usually find the contour and a few very simple details are more than enough to serve as guides. And, try not to feel like you are cheating by doing an image transfer - many artists do this type of image transferring to make it faster to get to the painting process. ☺️ This is not to say that there is no value in learning to sketch, because there definitely is. However, you'd be surprised just how much you can also learn from studying the contours of objects in this way. And if for some reason this still feels like it's too soon for you to try, that's ok too! Be gentle with yourself and enjoy every minute of your creative journey. ❤️ Thank you so much for being here with me. 🤗
I am really enjoying watching you paint on your videos. Just watching you is calming, besides being inspirational. I am learning more about using watercolor, which I am new to. I usually do abstracts and most often am using acrylics and alcohol ink as well as collage and sometimes mixing these. Thank you for taking the time to share your work and process. Wow, I am in awe! The raven is stunning, I have just recently made friends with crow and raven images! Previously, I felt that they were dark, like underworld and the movie ‘The Birds’ terrified me when I was young! They made me uneasy but I realize that they are highly intelligent and regal. For this painting, I printed an image I created to the scale I wanted for my painting. Then, I transferred the outline of the printed raven image and sketched in a few details to help guide me in my painting process. ☺️ Its relatively easy to do and I will have to show you all how I do it sometime! Ma soeur peint des petites roches avec des caractères et une boutique lui a demandé si elle aimerait en vendre. Une de ces pierres est un lion. 🙂Moi, après avoir cessé de peindre ces derniers 4 ans, j'ai eu le goût de ressortir mes pinceaux - haha. Cette fois, je m'essaie dans l'aquarelle et dans l'abstrait. Ce qui m'avait découragé 4 ans passés sont les commentaires que je recevais. Aujourd'hui lorsque mon mari fait un commentaire, je lui dis que je le fais pour moi et non pour les autres. Peut-être que je pourrai apprendre de bonnes techniques avec beaucoup de pratique. À mercredi prochain! 🥰

Jeg forstår fullstendig bekymringen din for å male gjenstander 😉 Fordi vi allerede vet hvordan de "skal se ut", kan det virkelig være veldig skummelt å forsøke å male en slik gjenstand. Jeg anser meg selv som en perfeksjonist innen rehabilitering 😂 Av denne grunn har jeg en tendens til å være veldig hard mot meg selv også når jeg maler noe mer representativt. Mange av oss bærer sår knyttet til kreativitet. Min går tilbake til å gå i første klasse og ønsker å imponere læreren min og ikke være særlig vellykket. Derfor tror jeg å male på en mer abstrakt måte kan være helbredende. Når det ikke er noen forventning, kan vi slippe presset vi legger på oss selv på grunn av disse sårene. Samtidig jobber jeg med å gi slipp på denne forestillingen om perfeksjon som jeg påtvinger meg selv. Det er så mye skjønnhet i merkene bare vi kan lage som enkeltpersoner. Så derfor tror jeg det er viktig for meg å også trene på å male figurer og gjenstander. Jeg ønsker å gi mine egne unike karakterer en sjanse til å vises i kunstverket mitt. Vær forsiktig med deg selv og omfavn din kreative reise slik du ønsker at den skal utfolde seg. Det er ingen rett eller gal måte å gjøre dette på så lenge du ærer deg selv i prosessen. Kreativ lek/arbeid som maling hjelper meg faktisk litt med det. Fordi jeg VET at jeg bare er en amatør trenger det liksom ikke være så alvorlig. Likevel er det lettest å holde på med abstrakt maling, men kanskje jeg kan bli litt tøffere etterhvert og prøve mer på realistiske motiver😅 Jeg er iallfall glad for at jeg begynte å følge deg og kan bli inspirert og motivert av deg og din kreativitet, både gjennom din visuelle og muntlige kommunikasjon🙏🏼 Takk igjen, og ha en god uke til jeg ser deg her igjen ☺️🍀

Had mentioned that you did not know how to respond to the message. I sent you and just another thing I will interject is that I don't ever put comments on the things that I watch on RUclips. For instance, I am not a social media person, however. Hi Tina 🤗💕 Ok my friend!! I understand and can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you clarifying this all for me! 😂 Some times the messages are not so clear, but I think I get that you are either dictating into your phone or sometimes typing using your phone's keypad (they are so small and not so user friendly, right?!) and this makes it hard. Thank you for bringing this up! (Just as a little side note, if you happen to speak Spanish and if this would be easier for you, I also speak Spanish and I LOVE have chances to practice. 😉 If you don't, that's ok too - I'm happy for us to communicate in whatever common languages we have. ☺️)

And, at the same time, there are people out there who do not consider what I do to be art 😉 I bring this up because the art world is so critical and subjective!! As a former perfectionist in rehab 😂, trust me, I can understand exactly how hard we can be when it comes to looking at our own work 😉 You are not alone in this!! Hace poco tiempo que encontré a Maria Grossbaum, pero enseguida me acordé de tus primeros videos con estructura al ver algunos de sus maravillosos cuadros. Es muy versátil y algo loca :-) pero aprendes muchos con sus videos. Que bien que hayas hecho un par de cursos con ella. Tanta energia a veces me desborda ... De donde es? el canal RUclips es de Israel creo, pero no sé si es una de sus locuras o realmente está por allí. Nombre Alemán .... quizá de antecendentes judíos emigrados .... como siempre, mucha imaginación ;-)
Bueno, pues estoy muy contenta que esta semana haya podido tener un poco de intercambio contigo a través de RUclips. Espero que siga, pues la verdad es que sí que parece que tenemos algunas aficiones y gustos parecidos. Y las dos somos Cancer! (01.07.1976) Me gustó por cierto mucho tu pintura de los signos de tu familia. Me sé tus videos casi de memoria y ha los he visto todos almenos una vez .... Cuando necesito animarme, inspiración o una dulce voz a mi alrededor, pongo uno de tus videos y me siento a pintar ...
La semana que viene estoy en Barcelona, mi madre cumple anos el día 15, así que el próximo video lo veremos juntas. A ver que preparas para nosotras hihihihi ....

Y, realmente no estoy muy segura de dónde es originalmente... 🤔 Espero que le esté yendo bien con todo lo que está sucediendo actualmente en Medio Oriente 😔

What inspires you? Where do you go or what do you do to get inspired to create art especially when you’re not really feeling it? Ideas come along but when I sit down to create something they just disappear leaving me frustrated & empty 😕🥹
