    Just bought two of these as more or less gag gifts for younger siblings, but came to RUclips so I could let them know how functional it was or wasn’t… honestly better money spent than a standard Zebco spin caster from what I’ve seen

      @@williambody1839 oh it’s still a novelty more than anything but it would work in a pinch.. for how long?? Who knows.. but it’ll make a great gag gift that actually does seem to work..

    Willie, you know the old saying "Big surprises come in small packages", well you just proved that to be true! I think that combo is cool for what it is and would be a great addition to a "bug out bag", and the best part of it all was your reaction on the first few cast that produced a nice catch, simply awesome! I bought my daughter a rod and reel when she was little. She came up to me one time when we were camping and said....Dad I want to fish with a stick.
    So I fixed up with a top-notch stick rig. And, she caught a bunch of fish.
    I decided that day...the fish could care less what is above the water line.
    So the issue is if your rig is sturdy enough for whatever abuse you plan on applying that day

      Sometimes some line, sharp hook, and the right bait is all a person needs..
      The biggest Bass I ever saw in person was 11lbs, caught at a campground we were staying at, in the mid 70s, on a Zebco 808 by an elderly gentleman using night crawlers and a bobber the size of a baseball..
      He told my Dad, he just bought that rod and reel this morning and had never really fished in his life but he didn’t want to just sit around the campfire.. lol.
      The fish don’t care who you are or what rod and reel you have..

      @@HandSumtactical Hey there!
      I was using Charlie Brewer sliders (colors vary depending on what’s biting) with a 1/16 oz Bass Pro Squirt jig tucked in the slider.. I like the Squirt jigs because the lead is “along the hook shaft” and not an odd looking “round ball head” like a typical jig.. I believe that the squirt jigs inside the slider (or any other plastic bait) it looks more realistic, like an actual bait fish.. So far, they have NOT let me down.. they’ve worked everywhere I’ve used them to some extent..

      @TheGraytOutdoors  Месяц назад +1

      @@wuzgoanon9373 Hey there!🤠, Yes, I have to admit, I had my doubts at first but it did catch fish.. Here’s my suggestions, change the line, a little grease on the gears, oil on the on the shafts, don’t set the hook too hard, take your time retrieving (it’s slow anyway, so that won’t be hard) hold on tight when casting (because the handle is short and you may accidentally throw it when the foam gets wet) and don’t take it seriously, just have fun with it, keep your expectations low and it’ll surprise you too..lol 😄
      It does actually catch fish.. at least for the time I was using it.. Its longevity is still questionable.. Might have to make another video for that question to be answered..

    I just bought two of these on clearance today at Walmart for eight bucks apiece…lol. They look like a fun little gimmick to try and fish pan fish with. I figured the first thing I’m gonna do is rip the wine out of it and put some 6 pound mono back into it. I’ll probably just stick with the cheap Zebco Omniflex I get a kick out of that $2.50 line. I caught a northern that was probably 5 to 6 pounds on that cheap line and it never broke along with some four and 5 pound largemouth.

      @TheGraytOutdoors  6 месяцев назад

      @@Simhan-t7p Hey there,
      Though this product will obviously catch fish, I have no idea how long it’ll last. I was catching some pretty good size fish that would give expensive equipment a good workout.
      I personally think this set up is more for children or people to keep in their car for that “just in case” time that may present itself.. it’s very small and the line that comes on it is very weak.. the reel has a very slow gear ratio and it takes time to reel in a fish. Being so small, there’s not much line on it so if a large enough fish decides to make a run, you’ll run out of line quickly and it’ll most likely snap it.. so I wouldn’t use this as an everyday piece of equipment, not saying that you can’t, but I wouldn’t..
      hope that helps..
