I really wish he would just go deeper with more details and answer it a little bit directly. I mean i'm just more curious about some details. In this interview, the host always had to bring him back to the questions lol

This interview doesn't at all cover Zakk's laissez-faire attitude about Dime's material. Not only does he use the wrong equipment to play the songs, not only is he buried in the live mix so you can barely hear him, but he has stated openly in past interviews that he doesn't find it important to truly learn the material as it was written, that everything is up for interpretation. He doesn't seem to understand Dime's playing at all. Whereas Dime was perfectly partnered and timed with the drums and increased intensity throughout each solo, Zakk's random meandering followed by sudden endings just deflates the excitement that you're supposed to feel. I don't understand how he makes it all so boring, especially because he considers Randy Rhoads the foundation of Ozzy's band and Randy's solos had similar peaks of building excitement along with fantastic ending segues on the way out. If only he had Charlie Benante's attitude, where he labored over learning Vinnie Paul's drum tracks to try to be as accurate as possible. People don't go to Pantera to see Zakk Wylde, even if they are a fan of his. They go to experience the magic and excitement of Pantera. That's kind of hard when the guitarist is only interested in sloppily providing Zakk's Version™ of the songs.
The " pantera" tribute needs to end..It's nothing but a cash grab at this point.1 tribute show would have been fine but show after show is ridiculous. I Chose to remember the Pantera from the shows I saw in the 90s. That's the Pantera I'm going to remember.

Have you been to the new show? I’ve seen the original Pantera twice and I’ve got to say the new lineup is just as good if not better sounding. It was absolutely an incredible performance. This is an awesome thing for a whole new generation to be able to see Pantera’s music live. It’s def not a cash grab and totally worth the money spent to see an incredible show.
