If this played instead I feel like I’d be going into a war rather than a boss fight. Radagon had such an imposing reveal and he doesn’t say anything he just starts beating the living shit out of you.
It's implied to be because it's not actually Radagon you're fighting, but the Elden Beast puppeteering his body, since it emerges from the Elden Rune in the centre of his body right after you beat him. I imagine the real Radagon might speak up at least once, if only to question what the hell the player thinks they're doing trespassing into the Erdtree the way they are.
As radagon stood against the tarnished he could sense each remembrance the tarnished took. Godrick, Morgott, Mogh, Rahdahn, Rykard, Malenia, the ancestral spirt, the litchdragon, the stormlord, the fire giant, the true void born, malakith, rennala’s unborn, and finally Godfrey. As he looked upon this tarnished he could sense another presence, a being that should not exist. A flame that was uncontrollable, a flame that could burn the very stars, The Frenzied Flame. It burned deeply within this tarnished. Radagon soon realized that this wasn’t a fight for the throne, it was a fight for existence itself and he cannot lose. Marika had planned everything, down to every minuscule detail, but she couldn’t have prepared for the flame to take a host. As radagon fought he struck with purpose, not for the golden order, this was a fight for every being in existence. He could hear the cries of everyone, calling out for justice against this foul tarnished.
I love how between fighting Godfrey to go to him, no words were spoken, just straight hands with RadaGOAT! "A king need not speak to those who are beneath him".
Love this. The Original Theme: Feels like your fighting a Benevolent God that wants to Test you to See if your worthy of becoming Elden lord. This Theme: Feels like a Dark Betrayer God wants to take over this reality and you have to Stop them.
In this tone version of Radagon's theme, it feels sadder knowing that he is just a god and the half-soul of Queen Marika(his twin persona) which stay loyal to _the Greater Will_ and Its Golden Order. He abandoned Rennala, his beloved wife, to reunites with Marika as one of her agenda to creates Empyrean children and fights the Greater Will; and still he betrayed Marika for her action which against the Greater Will. Radagon really just a poor slave of an egoistic God which only care about Its Order and Its rule over everything that lives in the Cosmos. It who created the Elden Rings, that which commanded the Stars and hold the fates of the Outer Gods..
Marika created the golden order, while radagon the fundamentalism. It is unknown how much the greater will was involved in the golden order, a society built by men. Probably the golden order is even a deviation from the greater will original plans. The fingers want us to become EL, but radagon and the beast do not. Also the fingers can no more communitlcate with the greater will, so maybe even the beast cant, attaining only to the original plans
Actually if we're taking into consideration Elden Ring's roots in Alchemy, the two of them probably came together willingly. Marika to break the Rune of Death and Radagon to reforge it into her Great Rune over the primordial crucible. Together they became a Rebis, the ultimate goal of alchemy, in order to surpass the Greater Will, but it came at a cost as all things do.
I dont think the greater will is egotistical. Order is extremely important. I would argue those that don't believe in order and law are extremely selfish and egotistical. If you see what the other endings entail, I would say order is very important.
@@Devin7Eleven for me, it should all be in the state of equilibrium, the why is simply because if its full on chaos, all is in the shit, there isn't logic or anything to go by because all would be random, if there is only order, its all controlled and be preditible, now if both, we get both elements without the greater downsides of course its just my view on that
Nothing against Saitoh's work, the man is a god of modern compositioning, but this feels more final than the original theme. This is not just a remix of the main theme, but the lower tune of the song gives it a somber feeling. Its in the same vein Gwyn's, Gehrmans and SOC's boss themes made me sad. This gives me the feeling that my journey and struggle has come to an climactic end. I am sad that the journey is over, but im happy because my last foe stands before me and I am determined to beat them. There is nothing wrong with the more motivational take of the original, I simply think this is an improvement because the emotions I get from this are the same as those in the original, plus the amplified somberness.
…as the tarnish approached the sacramental order, it’s ring of light, the emancipation of the golden order, the vestiges of the greater will, and the manifestation of the elden beast… …the ground burned, Radagon, broken as he might have been knew, no tarnish in this god forsaken world could be its vessel, not after what had been done to them… and so, maddness could be but a tool, in for which the frenzied flame arose from, ohhh the cries of the unborn, of the omens, the albunarics, the tarnished… “..rid the world of it, of all that divides and distinguishes, ohhh may caos take the world, may CAOS TAKE THE WORLD!!!” … and yet, it was not the frame of frenzy that stood before the legend, no… it was of course, a flame much more vivid, a flame that embraced within caos, pain, and suffering a faint of hope… … it was the flame of his ambition, the ambitions of everyone the tarnished had encountered and the wishes upon him being their true Elden Lord. And so, the legendary clash of one holding the fair of the world began, choosing not the path of lord, nor of god, but the path his encounters paved for him, unto the throne.
Nah it wasn't tarnished. It was Marika from the very beginning. The shattering of the ring by her hand brought everything to this single point of moment. Marika brought this to herself. Marika brought tarnished to Glory because she wasn't able to continue her reign.

Agreed. I fought radahn prior to any patches and it was a glorious battle. My preferred is pure mage for the memes. Thank you again for taking my request to heart with this piece. I know how hard is to make music from the slim window I have into the industry so having built this glorious video is humbling. I’ll be watching this channel religiously now. My the grace guide you 😁
radagon split my skull with that hammer of his more times than I would care to admit. such a fun fight. phase two on the other hand... I don't like that so much.
From the entrance to the music and the actual fight itself, he was destined to be the final boss and tbh that's the one crucial flaw from elden ring that annoyed me the most

Radagon isn't conscious when you fight him
So thats why he one shots me with full leonel amor and 2000 hp
@@fjoltnyr2464 Radagon really said “ok and?” When the tarnished shoes up with all the remembrance
I like how this paints you as the final boss villan rather then radagon, and radagon is the hero and the last defence of the world

and, in some sense or another, they're both right!
Original Theme is triumphant, a mere tarnished against a god.
This is tragic and desperate, a god of order against follower of chaos flame.
strange that you think of this, i thought this with the hammer sounds made it even more epic like radagon is stronger, but his purpose is the same
"Benevolent god"? Someone wasn't paying attention to Elden Ring lore lol.
