I’m almost certain I was standing next to this guy while he was recording. I remember a guy with camcorder from this exact perspective at this show. Regardless it was a spectacular show. Soundgarden, ministry, Pearl Jam, ice cube, the chili peppers. What a blast.
Haha, yeah, I left that in there because I thought it was funny. I think he was joking and knew that because he said it before they started it. Plus I think that was one of my friends f'n around. It was mid-day and a hot day and they were all getting pretty hammered by then.
@@toddnakamine Ya if he was serious kind of Disrespectful to JAMC since Pixies covered Head On but great footage, only 14 back then so couldn't attend Lolloapoloza to see them and Lush
Idiots who don't know their alternative music history! Head On is probably JAMC's biggest "hit" on their most popular album. That said, massive props for "stealth" video taping during a daytime show at Irvine Meadows (RIP).
@@MaxLoopTV Lush were also fantastic. I remember were walking in when they hit the stage and thinking to myself how amazing it sounded echoing through Irvine Meadows.
Very cool footage. I should have gone to the 2nd Lollapalooza. I saw the first one at Irvine Meadows. such a great place. Saw my first concert there (RATT w/ Bon Jovi opening) and the last show I saw there was Duran Duran with Chic.
I was at that show. Hurricane Andrew was barreling toward se Florida. I was a nervous wreck as that was where I drove from just to see J&MC. My 2 kids were stayng with family that weekend.
The organisers refused to give them a PA system as big as the chilli peppers which is why The Jesus and Mary Chain becomes simply "Jesus" you can hear it tbh
Anyone one have the set list, the Mary chain hated the tour they would go on at 2 right after Pearl Jam, William was pissed off great footage thanks man
It was weird seeing them melt in the bright sun. I also remember reading at the time of them getting into an altercation with Ice Cube's Lench Mob (involving water guns)
Todd Nakamine yeah I heard about that, someone from ice Cubes entourage sprayed William with water guns and he got pissed but backed off when he heard they had guns
There used to be a really funny/sad interview on RUclips with Jim and William from this tour where they were talking about their struggles on the tour and seemed even more depressed than usual.
back in the day jim was a real c%nt...met them on the tour bus during rollercoaster . william was one of the nicest guys ive ever met. tiny with huge hair.

They sound great here😊👍❤️
Head On is a Mary Chain song not a Pixies song

Thanks for posting, that was a great show! I went to most of my Lollapaloozas at Irvine, an amazing venue!
Head on is their song!!!

They fought and left the stage in Albuquerque in 92 when I saw them. Maybe right before or after. 20 minute set
Jesus and Mary Chain version of Head On is massively superior
It’s the Mary chains song lol what do you mean “their version”?
Love jesus

I was at the FL shows and a bunch more. The hurricane was a bit much.

👍
What song was William talking about?
Sugar Ray

Had to be hard sandwiched between Pearl Jam’s energy and Soundgarden’s heaviness on stage.
Stone Gossard was ignorant of the band and only learned of them on that tour, but was really into them. He said they had cool/interesting riffs..
That last song was a mistake 😂😊❤
Great song but really bad attitude from William...Man is you brother dude!!!!
