      Shoot I must have been around 19 years old. This was my favorite JAMC album for years, and came out during pretty much the best time period of my life. Sometimes I like or feel like listening to one album or another more than the rest, so at that specific moment In time it's hard to say which is my favorite album exactly. It depends on my mood, and what I feel like listening to the most. But I can honestly say Honeys Dead is still at the top of my list, and if I had to grab only one CD to save or take with me I'm pretty sure it would be that one. I have so many great times and memories associated with those songs. When I first heard it, Munki didn't really grab my interest right away, but the more I listened to it, the more I got it, until it became one of my definite favorites. To the point that at certain times I would call it my favorite, like I said, my tastes change depending on my mood.

    There is a whole story behind this but I was in the audience when they filmed this. I still have my Honey’s Dead cassette that I got signed by both of the Reid’s that day. Jim signed one side of the liner notes and William signed the other…. My girlfriend at the time got her chest signed.

    To counter their notorious shyness and aversion to american style interviews, they obviously reached deep for some Dutch courage as this is the most "animated" I have ever seen of either especially William. Thank you for finding and posting this clip!

      This was Request Video which was filmed in a studio about a block away from Disneyland in Anaheim. I was always amazed of the bands they could get to come down from LA to do this show on channel 56. I am sure Jim and William were not happy to have to make the commute to do this show when they were in LA promoting the upcoming release of Honeys Dead.

    • @MrRoboto1963
      @MrRoboto1963 Год назад +3

      This was Request Video on KDOC TV Channel 56. During that time period it was my only source for music videos because we didn't have cable TV. They did surprisingly have quite a few good bands on the show. I think most of us who were into alternative music at that time, and listened to KROQ 106.7 FM, watched the show and it was like our hidden gem. Good alternative music videos and bands that weren't available anywhere else, I mean as far as I know there wasn't anything like it even on cable. Later on they had M2 (MTV2), which was mostly alternative music or stuff that was new or they wouldn't play on MTV. And they had already started playing less and less music on MTV then, and most of it was shit anyway. M2 had a program director from KROQ FM in Los Angeles, so they actually had good stuff. I discovered and was exposed to lots of new music and bands on M2, but I had DirecTV satellite at that time, so I want to say it was late 90s. 96 and on I think. MTV was shit already with the stupid reality shows, and what music they did play sucked
