The band deserve a full length documentary, not just snippets in the Creation story or whatever.

Enjoyed watching that and Zoe's book is absolutely wonderful and the best music book I have read.

I think my favourite track on Barbed Wire Kisses was "Don't Ever Change", I wrote a new song around it called "On The Verge" in 1989 but I don't have it typed out now and can't remember how it went. It was about a relationship with a girlfriend that was reaching the end of the road, she was doing my head in. The chorus went "I'm on the verge, I'm on the verge, yeah, of leaving you...", it had six verses.

The recent short series We Are Lady Parts sort of reminded me of The Slits, an all girl punk band, only drawback is they're Muslims in hijabs, very daring for Muslims to perform punk music though!

The Jesus And Mary Chain rocked in 1984-5, they still rock in 2021!, when's their next album?, four years since the last one.

October 1989, Top Hat, Dublin. I was 18, my first "proper" gig. I remember very well looking up at Douglas Hart and enviously thinking, "Jesus.. this guy is cool as fuck.'
More than 30 years later, he still is! 👍👍
PS: Where is the rest of this interview??
