    We ride Off-road without boundaries and constraints, we all love stones, mud and sand.

    Good review, and great riding!. Just hope it's not too smooth....lots of modern bikes are so smooth and linear that they can seem a bit dull when you ride them!. Looking forward to a test ride....Steve

      I fully agree with you about how any brand makes these engines too linear. I have to say that it is clearly a market driven decision: a "brutal" engine would put the most of riders in difficultuìy. The last "muscle" engine I rode has been KTM 950, with carbutìrators, a real fury! Then they added 13 hp and passed to injection and.... it was so silky, unbelievable! In case you want a more energetic approach I suggest to work on CPU set-up with your mechanic ;-) In rallies I have always 2 maps on my engine switch ready to go: Map 1 - Fuel save, Map2 - Max torque

      @@schiussi I agree..also just a light tune, exhaust/filter, and small change of gearing can give a bike back some character!. My go to bike for an exciting ride is my old Honda XR650R...I love that bike!! Cheers, Steve

    this or the africa twin ads dct that's the question? africa honda's reliability and build quality...tenere although very good does not match the build quality hence the price

      Sean, I always rode Honda on duals,(also KTM LC8 honestly speaking), but this Yamaha is good, trust me, and if you look at the price is even better ;-) Said this engine is the thing that did not convince me at full, but only long KM will say how it really works.

      @@schiussi yes good point, but lots of people say that this tenere engine is very reliable, but the dealer told me that the t7 is a very good bike but not in comparison to the africa twin, thats why there is a huge price difference

    I love this bike, cant believe all manufactures arent in the game. question, the seat looks horribly small and narrow, can you ride this bike all day, for many days with getting a sore butt?

    • @schiussi
      @schiussi  5 лет назад

      KTM and BMW are in the game :-) About the seat yes, we also did not like the standard one, better to have a look at the rally version available in aftermarket: much better!
