I also have a few piercings and I get asked all the time, why.... What influenced you to get pierced? Do you have any tips for closing old piercings? I pierced my second holes on my lobes myself and they ended up uneven (of course). I've worn them for about 5-6 years and only recently stopped wearing earrings in them to try to get them to close. The way I placed them was too far up from my first piercings, making it almost impossible to get more piercings in the future, which I plan to do. I want to close them and get them professionally redone, but I'm afraid they won't close at all because they've been fully healed for years now. HELP!!

I got double helix piercings in both ears about 2 weeks ago. My left ear seems to be just fine, but my right ear is slightly swollen, reddish and it feels warm. I've been doing sea salt soaks and it seems to work for my left ear only. I'm not sure why my right ear isn't doing so well... I guess every piercing heals differently. I'm positive that it will look better in a few more days... 🤞🏼

I just got some piercings done today. Few on my lobs and two on my helix. I’ve been freaking out on the whole cleaning process because I don’t want to move them. All I have is table salt so I used that and now I feel like I’m doing it wrong and that has been my biggest worry and cause an infection.
Go ask a piercer. Table salt is not good for piercings.
So much precision! I just grab a bowl, fill it with warm water and crack some salt in there🤷♀️

London Hedrick took about 6 months to heal, takes a while but just treat it right :)

I got an upper lobe piercing 2 months ago and as everyone suggested, I didn't move or twist my jewelry because I was told it's bad for the healing process. But now, the jewelry on my left ear feels kinda stuck and does not want to move. Should I be worried???

Hey, I just found this video, as i recently got both my earlobes pierced ( a month and 9 days from the date of this comment) and have been ignorantly ( i didn't know any better) cleaning my piercings with both alcohol and peroxide.. I switched to using saline solution today and have used it about three times in the past but now I'm just confused. The alcohol didnt seem to work, as just yesterday there was pus and blood coming out of them. I learned my lesson and decided to stick to saline solution, hoping it actually works.. My questions are:
Did I hear you say after two weeks of cleaning , leave the piercing and let it heal on it's own?.. did I just hear that?
Also, should i continue to clean my piercings with the saline solution and count 2 weeks from now in that case?
Lastly, warm water is not always available where I'm from.. Is room temperature saline solution okay to use/effective (H2ocean is room temperature, isn't it?)

Yes from getting it pierced you should only clean two weeks. But in your case i would call your piercer to ask about the problems your having. I cannont give professional advice here

Where did you get the jewellry for your conch from?! I've had my conch pierced for ages and it's so hard to find nice jewellry for it.
MsCharlieBanana i get all mine off wholesale websites. but you can buy it online its a 14g diskback with an external 4mm crystal bead
I just wash it with hand soap and water (is that better or worse for healing ear piercings?)
Personally i wouldn't put soap in an open wound.
Can the salt water be stored and used for the 2 weeks or should you make fresh salt water every day?
Personally i think fresh is cleaner!

Table salt is not a pure form of salt, it is iodized. It will burn if you put it on an open wound.

Cher Zamolodchikova non-iodised sea salt is the best to use as opposed to soap and other stuff c:
Anti Bacterial soap is recommended by some piercers, but i prefer the sea salt since it is more natural to your body than chemicals in soap are
