The best part of Mickey is that he literally has no friends, absolutely no one likes him, and he still manages to stay in business and outlive a lot of characters.
+enocherone I wasn't making a point about Jimmy's reasons for throwing him off the balcony. I was remarking how Doyle's reaction is pretty minimal considering what is happening to him. I know if someone threw me off a balcony I'd be screaming!
He just gets bullied the fuck up by anyone n everyone but he always looks at the aggressor with so much hate because he lets people think he is a dumb dickhead but really he's smarter than all of them and is a very clever manipulator. It's like he knows a secret that nobody else knows and whats more crazier is that he plays a fool on purpose. That's the art of getting what u want. Clever fucka mmhehehee
I completely agree with him secretly being smarter than everyone! He always seems to ally himself with he right person at the right time and weasel his way out of any trouble. It's like how in Shakespeare's plays the Fool is always the wisest character and can see the full picture.
The first time Mickey appeared, and snickered his way on to the scene, I said to myself "This guy isnt going to last very long. Too obnoxious, not very improtant- he's cannon fodder." Three seasons and countless laughs later, here we are. Cheers, Mickey.
I for years have had a nervous chuckle tic. I found my tic embarrassing, and I recently got in hot water over it with a lady who thought was making fun of her..That said, I totally get Mickey Doyle's chuckle.
Or the origin of The Riddler . It's the hat and the giggling, plus the mid-World War mob henchmen...when he hit the table...that's when he snaps. It's just a matter of not being able to corrupt Bruce Wayne into the Booze Biz.
Mickey is one of my fav characters in the show, because he's annoying little weasel, but no one kills him because he always ends up making a deal with everyone. They might choke him and throw him off a balcony lol, but everyone always keeps him alive. I love his laugh too
Mickey feels a bit like a Key & Peele character, this ridiculous, hilarious dude (who sounds like some of Key's voices) who was just dropped into a gritty gangster series. Such a great addition!
Mickey is that one type of friend that nobody takes serious but can get a fuken laugh out of and feels comfortable around lmao fuken Mickey lol one of my fav characters
Sometimes it a laugh but other, creepier, times I believe its a nervous tic. Even though he may realise he is audibley "tipping his hand" so to speak, he just can't help himself. Either way he sounds like a weirdo and it works so freaking well on the show.
They missed one of his best scenes though. When he's talking to the Dellessio brothers, he asks them if they are all name after popes and gives the laugh. It's his funniest scene.
That's because the entire Boardwalk Empire is an elaborate DC Comics Riddler origin around Doyle. The hat and suits, the underworld connections, and that fuckin' giggle.
I'm hoping they don't kill Mickey off too soon, it's looking like he might bite the dust this season. Nucky now owns Mickey's life insurance policy that Rothstein opened, and he hates Doyle more than ever before.
"Let me bowww. Before der kiiinnng". My favourite scene with Mickey is when he takes Eddie's cane after he dies, waves it about in lots of scenes, flirts with Sally in front of Nuck, taps him with it...when you watch it again it's so obvious what's going to happen...Nucky takes it and whacks Mickey in the head, he turns into a scolded little boy - "enjoy your conversation Miss...goodnight..."
I FUCKING LOVE the Mickey's weasely little giggle!! It's done so well, that a lesser actor would not be able to pull it off and make it memorable. Just the way he smiles, giggles and gives that little sneer makes him memorable. An annoying bastard, but a funny one!
His character is based upon Michael Duffy who was gunned down in August of 31 in AC at the Ambassador. His real full name supposedly was William Michael Cusick but changed his name to fit in with the Irish gangs from Philadelphia where he started his crime wave. I do this laugh to drive my Wife crazy sometimes :-@
Maybe you're already aware, but this video is very...bumpy. It was hard on the eyes, during a lot of the scene transitions. Otherwise, great tribute to "Boardwalk Empire's" funniest character. If BWE were a Disney film he'd be the obnoxious talking-animal sidekick everyone loves. The series should end with everyone dead except Mickey...the final scene being him just staring at the audience, doing his creepy/annoying laugh. NYEHEHEHEHEEE!
I love Mickey Doyle. My favorite characters are definitely Luciano, Lansky, and Rothstein, but Doyle is right behind those guys along with Jimmy and Richard.
i love the scene where jimmy says if he had a brain he would be dangerous. guess what? jimmy throws his cigarette on the floor and leaves that warehouse without putting it out. MICKEY is the one that puts out the embers. he is in a wooden building full of wooden crates of expensive cargo. he wouldnt want a fire the thing is, mickey DOES have a brain. that giggling idiotic laugh is just a front. people perceive him as a weak pawn. well this "weak pawn" outlasts all the delessios and even jimmy.
He's just waiting. He's either going to take out someone big in the show or become a rat. He can't be pushed around for to long. Plus Terrence Winter, the creator, has a long history going back to the Soprano's of creating characters like this to eventually snap and lead to a plot twist
The best part of Mickey is that he literally has no friends, absolutely no one likes him, and he still manages to stay in business and outlive a lot of characters.
nah the best part is his laugh
He was a massively underrated character.
When you invest all your skill points into luck
@@Dickiemiller179 your moms chunt is underrated, i can tell from experience
@@Sulamanjansulttaani only a real cunt puts an “h” in cunt.
Imagine being in a dark room and hearing that laugh
I would shit my pants lmaooo
😂🤣
The best parts is when he's not even on camera and you hear him laugh off screen, fuckin' kills me.
He's a Riddler DC Comics origin story.
🔥
LMAO 🤣
I came here to say this 😂 it’s the off screen giggle that kills me.
The best is when he isn't on the screen but still here the giggle.
That's the best part
😂😂😂
Absolutely right. 1:12 is a great example imho. Funny joke too by the way ☺
Mickey Giggles
I agree 🤣
lmao i love his laugh, this character is so underrated, would have loved to see more of him in the show.
+1
He’s the Paulie walnuts of boardwalk empire
Micky Doyle is a DC Comic Riddler Origin . The bowler hat, the suits, the annoying giggle, mob henchmen....it's a perfect bloody super-villain story.
LMAO the best ones are when you hear him laugh out of nowhere, when he's not seen on screen.
Wait, so Jimmy threw him off a balcony and all Doyle did was say "Hey!". Now we know how he's survived so long in the series, dude has balls of steel.
Thats not why he threw him off the balcony lol.
+enocherone I wasn't making a point about Jimmy's reasons for throwing him off the balcony. I was remarking how Doyle's reaction is pretty minimal considering what is happening to him. I know if someone threw me off a balcony I'd be screaming!
o ok LOLL youre right. misread that haha sorry

1:45 instead of him yelling, "Hey!" on his way down...someone should have edited his giggle in there.
Would have been the funniest thing ever!!! Then a slow whimper giggle after he touched down!
i dont know.;) but i like this guy.;) the one with the giggle. jajaja is like he dont worried about what people say jajaj. he just giggles.
That would be so satisfying
would have been even better with the willhelm scream.
The first time Mickey appeared, and snickered his way on to the scene, I said to myself "This guy isnt going to last very long. Too obnoxious, not very improtant- he's cannon fodder." Three seasons and countless laughs later, here we are. Cheers, Mickey.
Haha, so that damn laugh always drove me insane in the show, but for some reason seeing it in a montage is just making me die! XD
Julia Kropp spot on
Let me ask you something Mickey....How the fuck are you still alive? lol
always thought he would get whacked from his first scene
“never let em take me too serious, huehuehue"
The laugh brought me here....its crazy lol
0:44 is the best one, when I first saw that scene and heard his laugh I was in stitches 😂😂😂 had to replay it like 5 times.
"My old pal munia!" One of my favorite lines to say.
Ahaha I love that line too!
0:51 best one
Completely agree LOL. Nuckys face after
00:43 This was my favorite :D
LMAO 🤣 my favorite
The way they killed him off was fucking bullshit, last season have been total shit, so bad.
Mickey was the best on the show, so funny.
Last season was rushed. They were just trying to tie up all of the threads
I for years have had a nervous chuckle tic. I found my tic embarrassing, and I recently got in hot water over it with a lady who thought was making fun of her..That said, I totally get Mickey Doyle's chuckle.
Mickey Doyle is a thin gangster reincarnation of Peter Griffin...
Or the origin of The Riddler . It's the hat and the giggling, plus the mid-World War mob henchmen...when he hit the table...that's when he snaps. It's just a matter of not being able to corrupt Bruce Wayne into the Booze Biz.
Mickey went out like a boss Shot in the Throat lol
Mickey Doyle is the best thing about this programme!
I was annoyed after the first time he did it and then I learned to love it more and more every season lol
"Uhmmhhhhhhmmmmhhhmmmmm ....... HEY!" *Crashes on a table* .....My life in a nutshell. Some people even call me Mickey.
That's the point that sealed my fan theory. He's the origin story of The Riddler .
Doyle rules!!
Mickey is that one type of friend that nobody takes serious but can get a fuken laugh out of and feels comfortable around lmao fuken Mickey lol one of my fav characters
The last scene gives me chills, just his dead silence when we usually hear laughter
His Laugh XD!!!
That first giggle and dance lmfao
he will flip and become a major villain somewhere soon
He's the origin of The Riddler. Think about it. The giggling, the bowler hats, the henchmen...He's the goddamn Riddler.
The kind of sound you hear in an Asylum at 3AM
Arkham...because he's the origin character of The Riddler. And you KNOW THIS, man!
He's hi-larious! Love to hear him talk and laugh.
this guy cracks me up
He's so freaking underrated
He's the Riddler Origin we didn't know we needed. The hat, the giggling, the underworld connections....
His laugh is the best
Sometimes it a laugh but other, creepier, times I believe its a nervous tic. Even though he may realise he is audibley "tipping his hand" so to speak, he just can't help himself. Either way he sounds like a weirdo and it works so freaking well on the show.
Dude was a doormat but guess who was still alive at the end?
Should just be nothing but him giggling
They missed one of his best scenes though. When he's talking to the Dellessio brothers, he asks them if they are all name after popes and gives the laugh. It's his funniest scene.
I need a longer version
I swear. The actor who played mickey would be a INCREDIBLE joker.
funniest character in this show
That's because the entire Boardwalk Empire is an elaborate DC Comics Riddler origin around Doyle. The hat and suits, the underworld connections, and that fuckin' giggle.
That "nervous laugh" at the end of his sentences, could work so well for a psychotic villain.
Loving the laugh, must be the only one who feels the tingle
I like that the long version of the best of Mickey Doyle is still only 2 minutes long
I am actually here to see the person that narrated Stephen King's audiobook. What a cool voice. Billy Summers
Mickey Doyle was my favorite character
I kept waiting for him to slip in an "Exit...stage left!"
He's The Riddler. Boardwalk E. is one big DC Comic Riddler Origin.
I like how he gets thrown off the second floor and all he says is "hey!"
u gotta love mickey umhmmmmhmmm lmfao!
Imagine going to bed and hearing that laugh coming from your closet
I'm hoping they don't kill Mickey off too soon, it's looking like he might bite the dust this season. Nucky now owns Mickey's life insurance policy that Rothstein opened, and he hates Doyle more than ever before.
This is a great compilation , neeyuhuh
You forgot one of his interactions with Mueller when he told him "treat a Queen like a wh*re and a wh*re like a Queen (long giggle)" lol
I'm watching House of Cards and I'm waiting for his laugh on every scene
Damn shame Mickey got killed!
I was pulling for a Mickey Doyle spin-off.
Jimmy Kahn That would be something, a spin-off featuring Mickey Doyle!
@@kahnjimmy81 Mickey should have been given his own sitcom.
Man, William Forsythe fits in this show like a bloodied glove.
"Let me bowww. Before der kiiinnng". Paulies Walnuts loves his laugh he he he
Best character on the show! Well maybe after Van Alden
Harrow!
Van Alden was horrible season 1 tho
His character is based upon Michael Duffy who was gunned down in August of 31 in AC at the Ambassador. His real full name supposedly was William Michael Cusick but changed his name to fit in with the Irish gangs from Philadelphia where he started his crime wave. I do this laugh to drive my Wife crazy sometimes :-@
He's the best
Mickey is my asbsolute favorite character in the whole entire series!
Fan Theory: He's the goddamn origin of the Riddler. The hat, the suits, the mob connections...Riddler, man.
Mine is Richard th3n Mickey both actors who play then did an outstanding job

That giggle.
He's the origin of The Riddler.

Is this guy also that novelist in House of Cards?
Yep
Why couldn't Yates have the laugh too? Hmmmhmhmmhmhmhmmmm.
I used to hate this guy, but now I love the shameless giggle. Keep it up Mickey!
Plays the part of the weasel perfectly.
Micky is the best
I cant stop laughing.
Aye, and his normal voice as an actor is well, normal. That is the sign of a true actor.
0:46 its the best
This is the main reason why I love this show.. hememmhhmmm!
What a shitty last season to a great series
Based loosely on Micky Duffy who had changed his name to Duffy from William Michael Cusick. Polish decent famous Bootlegger in Philly and NJ.
I guarantee you that Chinese guy was kvelling over not having to see Mickey again.
Paul revere speech wins
I'll see yas in the funnies - Lucky Luciano
Why does Mickey Doyle giggle at t bb e CC worst times
When Capone's leaves a room, he's the only one laughing....
Mickey's laugh reminds me of Emo Phillips
Or, and hear me out...he's the origin of The Riddler. The hats, the suits, the giggle, the underworld connections...He's the fuckin' Riddler.
"From the tiny acorn, grows the mighty... elk?" Oh Mickey you rule baby!
