2:36 I had a “Simon Says” app on my old iPad, it was so stressful after like 4 turns. I can’t believe how accurate they portrayed how I feel with autism lol
The one where Charlie only mentions the quarter until he's further prodded to reveal he has a robust savings account is definitely me 😭. I don't think that people get me or understand how I keep my life together and they start to learn more about me and are always surprised.
As someone with autism who spent all my life (and still as I don't announce it to everyone) getting told that I'm the issue or I'm a bad person, I'm weird or I'm always wrong etc I think that's why I relate with the sunny characters because I just subconsciously pick up the little signs that their like me. Sure their not good people but they've also never gotten the help they need. Idk if that makes sense it was hard to put into words
5:49 “Is that table having a meal consisting only of loud noise, screams and hollers?” - As a fellow autistic person, Dennis made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my cereal. TOO relateable omfg. I get so irritated when the environment becomes super loud or if people are being ‘too loud’ in a relatively quiet place.
I have never seen this show but I relate worringly to the man who shrinks down to the fetal position and loses all higher thought at the sound of a buzzer.
Okay, granted, I am actually autistic, but in terms of the "squashing beefs" thing, am I the only one who thinks they were totally right? Serving squash and beef, and having a ceremonial burying of the hatchet, and ending the whole thing with a wiping clean of a slate? These are all valuable performative symbolic gestures that ensure that everyone involved agrees and is of a certain mindset! It's presented as a gag, but if we culturally had a "squashing beefs" event the same way we have "baby showers" or other light ceremonial events, we'd be a lot healthier as a society!
"I think I was a centaur in a past life" not me literally having this same thought today remembering how as a kid I almost always had an internal fantasy where I was a centaur
I am Charlie through and through, only minus some level of brain damage induced by inhaling fumes, both intentionally and unintentionally. Oh and minus 57 grand too, I suppose.
“The only way that my dad is not going to kill us, is if he thinks we are already dead.” Huge sigh. “Ohhh great I was hoping you’d say that let’s kill ourselves. It’s no problem dude I’m totally on board..” Charlie’s intrusive thoughts just exploded 😂
Finally!!!! I hear people talk a lot about the characters nuerodivergence but this is longest compilation I’ve seen of that. This makes me so happy : )
As a Mexican who watched exclusively Mexican television, I have never seen this show. In fact, I don't even know the names of the characters. Well, I know Charlie, but that's because they keep repeating his name, and his face is handsome, so it stuck in my head, I guess. Anyway, the Pont that I want to make is that I hate sitcoms for so many reasons, one of them being that it is hard for me to understand the innuendos and jokes these types of shows have, in this case, I feel like I don't have to understand them, you know? It's more like an ineffable feeling that I get where I kind of get it, and also, I don't feel uncomfortable watching it. I got diagnosed as being in the Asperger spectrum last year, and that cleared many concerns that I had. The thing is that I get videos with "autism, autistic" or something like that in the title all the time on my feed since then. That's how I got here. Anyway, this Charlie guy is super hot and has a pretty voice, I'm surprised he looks so autistic, even I could recognize it. Thanks for the video, and sorry for my bad English.
“Sweetheart have you tried this show Atypical? It’s about a boy on the spectrum and I thought it was just like you.” “No thanks mum, I have 16 seasons of autistic representation to watch on loop and I feel their collective awfulness and random nonsense does a better job of capturing my vibe.”
This is my comfort show I have many chunks of it memorized and I just relate way to heavily to some of their behaviors as a diagnosed neurodivergent, for me to ever believe that the characters could not to be neurodivergent
i believe that specific blend is “has spent their entire life masking to the point they’ve lost sight of who they actually are and the mask is slowly deteriorating with age making for a completely tragic and unstable individual.” and yeah. me too. ;)
It's very funny. Dennis feels very ADHD to me, probably because I have ADHD so I connect with that more. Especially the misophonia. My life is living hell without earplugs to block out stuff like random mechanical BUZZING noises
Charlie’s got the same blend as me, spent too much time with feral animals as a kid rather than people and built a mask but the wrong kind of mask that makes me socially acceptable to animals but not people, watching him in this is like looking in a mirror haha

The one where Charlie only mentions the quarter until he's further prodded to reveal he has a robust savings account is definitely me 😭. I don't think that people get me or understand how I keep my life together and they start to learn more about me and are always surprised.
Mac bursting out his elbow karate moves when he's happy and excited is my favorite thing
my favorite headcanon is that they are all neurodivergent
That's pretty established regular canon
Is that the new euphemism for "mental cases" lol
thank u always sunny for remindig us sometimes ND people are evil 💖
As someone with autism who spent all my life (and still as I don't announce it to everyone) getting told that I'm the issue or I'm a bad person, I'm weird or I'm always wrong etc I think that's why I relate with the sunny characters because I just subconsciously pick up the little signs that their like me. Sure their not good people but they've also never gotten the help they need. Idk if that makes sense it was hard to put into words
no i definitely feel you!!! 💕💗
Same.
That "you guys like me, right?" one hits too hard out of nowhere
5:49 “Is that table having a meal consisting only of loud noise, screams and hollers?” - As a fellow autistic person, Dennis made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my cereal. TOO relateable omfg. I get so irritated when the environment becomes super loud or if people are being ‘too loud’ in a relatively quiet place.
I have never seen this show but I relate worringly to the man who shrinks down to the fetal position and loses all higher thought at the sound of a buzzer.
Well, you should maybe start watching. Great show.
that's dennis reynolds 💕
i am SO grateful you included dee moments in this i love it so much
duh!!!! i am a dee girlie through and through.
It's presented as a gag, but if we culturally had a "squashing beefs" event the same way we have "baby showers" or other light ceremonial events, we'd be a lot healthier as a society!
haha i love this comment! 💖💗definitely agree!!!
I don't know why "BEAK!" always kills me but here we are.
The delivery of the “I don’t like it with skin on Dee” dialogue is pitch perfect
“You’re not even listening to me”
“No I’m listening to you, you said a bunch of words, right? Look at this”
Perfect
charlie is a stimming machine i love it sm
3:27 "It was a fair bite." "Yeah, he knew I could bite him a little bit." Hilarious drunk acting.
that line + "charlie turns purple and starts biting when he's excited" kills me 😂
Everything with Charlie hits so hard as someone who has autism and ADHD
never thought of the "france, france, france" scene as autistic coded, but i can absolutely see it
I literally said France in my head lol
i like how must of this is charlie and mac theyre soooo me
the neurodivergent bond is unbreakable 💪
"no, i'm listening - you said a bunch of words right"
oh look it's me
This video convinced to watch the show. In true neurodivergent fashion I finished it in a week and a half.
I also finished it in like a week and a half!!!! True neurodivergent unity
@@mattcottrell3286 just recently? Maybe we synced up on accident 😂
@@Shoob-k5u literally this past week!!!
@@mattcottrell3286 I think that makes us soul bonded or something
I now pronounce you commentor and commentor
20:17 this part is so insanely accurate, i do this with every song i listen to lmao
me 🤝 dennis
Ditto
“The only way that my dad is not going to kill us, is if he thinks we are already dead.”
Huge sigh. “Ohhh great I was hoping you’d say that let’s kill ourselves. It’s no problem dude I’m totally on board..”
Charlie’s intrusive thoughts just exploded 😂
💖💗💕
By the way, your English is good! Sounds natural
"I'm not allowed" is the funniest thing ever to me
I never considered that Mack doing Karate chops was a form of stimming
Mac*
8:56 "Get ready for a rock in the eye bro" always the funniest thing to me 🤣
"if they find the weak one they start pissing all over it" goddamnit charlie is so funny
then dennis pisses on mac in that same episode lol
“Sweetheart have you tried this show Atypical? It’s about a boy on the spectrum and I thought it was just like you.”
“No thanks mum, I have 16 seasons of autistic representation to watch on loop and I feel their collective awfulness and random nonsense does a better job of capturing my vibe.”
I love the cut at 12:39. Makes it feel like it's abruptly censoring some violent horrifying moment.
oooh i love the sally cruikshank pfp
6:33 That sound might be one of my favorite line deliveries in the whole series, and it’s not even a word.
This is my comfort show I have many chunks of it memorized and I just relate way to heavily to some of their behaviors as a diagnosed neurodivergent, for me to ever believe that the characters could not to be neurodivergent
dennis' specific blend of autism really resonates with me
i believe that specific blend is “has spent their entire life masking to the point they’ve lost sight of who they actually are and the mask is slowly deteriorating with age making for a completely tragic and unstable individual.” and yeah. me too. ;)
@@desertgrape SOLIDARITYYYYY
It's very funny. Dennis feels very ADHD to me, probably because I have ADHD so I connect with that more. Especially the misophonia. My life is living hell without earplugs to block out stuff like random mechanical BUZZING noises
Charlie’s got the same blend as me, spent too much time with feral animals as a kid rather than people and built a mask but the wrong kind of mask that makes me socially acceptable to animals but not people, watching him in this is like looking in a mirror haha
2:45 The way he delivers that uh-oh is so funny every time, I always actually laugh out loud
