  • There are many foods that will lower your testosterone, and these are the worst 7. Don't tank your testosterone by thoughtlessly eating too many of these foods.
The important things to remember are free and total testosterone, testosterone to estrogen ratio, and sex hormone binding globulin. In one way or another, these 7 foods muck up your T system and keep you from being the best you can be.

soy is deffinitely not that bad, it's bad if u eat it twice a day or more, phyto estrogens are sometimes estrogenic, sometimes they lower estrogen it's proven in countless studies, also milk tho, that's got mammalian hormones, much much worse.
But I do agree with all the other points.

A couple of beers per day is NO PROBLEM. Your manboobs are likely just from way too much carbohydrate. Beer is not super high in carbs, just have them with dinner or excercise. Also, IPA’s are great. You want to steer clear of the typical swill (budmiloors) tho, because it’s just as high in alcohol, higher even that a lot of craft beers, taste like water, and people (who drink them) tend to pound them all day-that’s what they are designed for (“less filling”).

Couple of questions in remarks on this video.
As far as protein bars also well looking at the label make sure that it isn't soy protein or protein isolate from soy.
When you see vegetable oils are bad, does that include coconut, olive and avocado oils as far as consuming and frying in?
Also, I've heard that anything that raises your estrogen from exogenous source plays on your body's negative feedback loop.
Male bodies produce testosterone based on cholesterol. Testosterone has many different hormones it can convert into and is supposed to.
One of which is estrogen. There's an enzyme called aromatase and there's a higher concentration and your belly fat that aromatase can convert testosterone into estrogen.
One way your body knows how much testosterone you have is based on how much estrogen you have. If your estrogen is too high, whether from aromatizing or from exogenous sources, your brain will think you have enough testosterone and lower production.
I'm not a doctor. This is what I've read and seen many times
One last question, does cooking in a Teflon pan or a non-stick coated pan have any effect on testosterone? I'm not sure if it's a plastic or what that stuff is

Keato is extreme and I don't recommend it except if done as a cycle of on for 3 days off for two.
    My diet:
ONE cup of white rice mixed with 3/4 cup of diced peas, carrots, corn, small about of raw diced onion.
For protein add in your choice of 2 eggs, or:
can of tuna, 4 oz. diced chicken breast, 4 oz, diced broiled hamburger paddy, 4 oz, diced ham or pork loin, 4 oz. of turkey.
Mix it all together in a fry pan and enjoy. This is very filling at about 400 -500 calories. Make it interesting by adding Salsa Sauce on top. I make my own Salsa from veggies I grow in my garden.
Make up a double, triple, or larger batch for multiple meals. I make up enough for 3 or four days worth and eat this 3 times per day and add in a side of cottage cheese for extra protein.

I could have sworn I read recently that soy milk increased testosterone but I can't seem to find where I read it at. The one that really upset me was pasta and bread. I love pasta and sandwiches.

The soy thing has been debunked in a meta-analysis including 41 studies!
"A total of 41 studies were included in the analyses. TT and FT levels were measured in 1753 and 752 men, respectively; E2 and E1 levels were measured in 1000 and 239 men, respectively and SHBG was measured in 967 men. Regardless of the statistical model, no significant effects of soy protein or isoflavone intake on any of the outcomes measured were found. Sub-analysis of the data according to isoflavone dose and study duration also showed no effect. This updated and expanded meta-analysis indicates that regardless of dose and study duration, neither soy protein nor isoflavone exposure affects TT, FT, E2 or E1 levels in men."

Also, a good thing to note would be some fruits are very high in phyto estrogens too. Stuff like strawberries and peaches are pretty high estrogen mimicking compounds. Obviously don’t just take my word for it. Look it up. Please share any others you know to look out for here too.

Regarding protein bars -- a lot of them are full of bad carbs like you said but also, the protein source they use a lot of the time is derived from soy (unless otherwise stated on the packaging). Double whammy. What hurts my feelings the most -- definitely the fact that alcohol as a negative effect on testosterone. I do enjoy a good G&T as well as good whisky/whiskey. I do try to limit amounts though -- but,..I should just stop.

Soy doesn't lower testosterone, that is proven factually and in practise.
Soy has phytoestrogen, a plant form of estrogen which actually inhibits estrogen binding in the body, so it lowers your estrogen.
I've eaten soy in forms of Tofu, soy milk, tvp and my bloodwork is always great!
Test is in high reference range always, E2 estradiol is always in mid reference range.
Don't know why talk bad about food that's been eaten for thousands of years?

57 year old male here. I've Been on carnivore and 0 carbs and 16-8 intermittent fasting for about 9 weeks. I dropped 40 pounds so far! My testosterone level was 1500+ which was off the chart. Going in for another test in a few weeks. I feel great, like 20 years younger. I don't consider my eating habits a diet. I consider it a healthy lifestyle. I am thankful that a friend shared your youtube channel with me. I plan to live longer and healthier than my ancestors. Thank you, Dr. Ken Berry!!!
