CRAB SANDWICH RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
-2 slices of soft bread (Pan de Mie works great)
-4-6 oz cooked dungeness crab meat
-1/2 red onion, shaved
-1 bunch of picked watercress
-1 bulb fennel, shaved
-1 cup butter lettuce, shaved
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 tbsp lemon juice
-1/4 cup mayonnaise
-1 tsp cayenne pepper
-1 tsp diced jalapeño
-1 tbsp dijon mustard
-1 tbsp chopped parsley
-a few handfuls of tarragon
PROCESS:
-Boil Whole Crab ~ 20 minutes or buy lump crab meat
-If using whole crab, de-shell crab with crab cracker (remember to get the body as well as the legs)
-Prepare Salad by chopping vegetables (super thin)
-Toss chopped vegetables in olive oil, salt, and pepper
-To make the crab mixture, add mustard, mayonnaise, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and chopped parsley - mix together
-Butter and toast your bread
-Create sandwich by adding a layer of crab, then the Salad, and finally adding watercress on top.
-Serve with pickles and potato chips

Crab sandwiches with sourdough bread, generous dressing, tomatoes and red onions, Avocado slices, lemon and lime wedges, shrimp salad on the side..salsa with a bit of jalapeno heat...Juicy sweet slaw, corn on the cob with chipotle butter and salt, and Anchor Steam suds on tap. San Diego style with a slice of SF. Nice.

The Ferry Building was one of the best parts of SF. We made a brunch of bread, fresh butter, triple cream cheese, some aged ham, and Blue Bottle Coffee.

If you're going for inexpensive, I would suggest looking for either canned crab or those packages of crab meat that I Think are found next to the fake crab in the meat department. Or if you can't have crab, use the imitation. It's a hint of crab flavor mixed with either white fish, polluck or tilapea. (whatever's cheapest for the company making it, I guess).
Also many of the bigger stores do carry crabs that have been flash frozen as well as precooked. Check the meat department.
I wish there was such a market in my area :(

I want to make this today!! Okay, the only issue I have is that in the video there was no mention of parsley and it was never used although I did see it on the table and it's in the recipe in the info bar. You guys also need to fix the recipe instructions in the info bar because it says to add parsley to crab mixture but never mentions what to do with the tarragon - the video and the recipe instructions are not in-sync. Soo do I really need the parsley then??
