As a married woman I am not shocked at all. It takes a lot of work to live your life happily and peacefully with someone. Family, work, finances, and quite frankly the world are always trying to tear you apart. You have to appreciate and thank each other daily, keep yourself up, keep it interesting, be friends, have fun, be caregivers at times, and be lovers. The love is worth it though

It really doesn't even take all of that. All you have to do is truly love the person you marry unconditionally. I've been married for 19 years and trust me appearances change. Bodies change, health changes, finances change, sex life goes up and down. These are things you should know when getting married. When you truly love someone none of those things matter. It becomes deeper than just sex, appearance, money, lust, and ones self desires. Real unconditional love is one of the best blessings you can ever give or receive. When you have that you will never have to worry about divorce.

@@tikapoo25 I have been married quite a long time as well and my spouse and I are simply human. We like to try to look good for each other, go out to eat, go on trips, while raising my stepson. You have to balance finances, health, and the world. I am sincerely glad that unconditional love is all you and your spouse require. Just remain humble and realize everyone is different, if love was all that was needed for everyone the divorce rate wouldn't be so high. Life weighs down on a lot of folks out here, remember we all have different journeys love.

They've been married for 14 years and 22 years together. They met on the street corner when Tia and her sister drove past him while he was waiting on a bus. They decided to stop and give him a ride. Their love story ♥️ This just breaks my heart 😢

Lol. Outgrow?? No. People don't outgrow one another, people get tired of one another. What does that mean to outgrow someone? Any challenge or season can change anyone at any age, young or not. Most men are pretty set and don't change no matter the age but women we are always changing and evolving and our attitudes and desires are constantly shifting. Not to mention marriage is very fragile, relationships in general especially as a woman; one wrong fight, one wrong word or situation at an inopportune time can make a woman feel like you never loved her at all. Some people are temperamental that way.

This is definitely sad especially because it seemed like they did everything right in their relationship. The only thing I wondered about this couple was whether Cory would, at some point, resent Tia’s success. However, it seemed like that wasn’t an issue since he achieved some success as well. I hope they both have the grace and strength to get through this difficult time.

The longer I live, the less appealing marriage seems. Am I surprised? No. Celebrities are just human beings like the rest of us. I wish them both well on their new chapter.

I have been married almost 26 years. Marriage is serious and requires constant work. If you don't want kids or already have I say stay companions without the paperwork.
Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT let other peoples marriages that end up in divorce be your reason not to pursue love and happiness. Marriage is a commitment...a daily commitment and of you aren't willing to do the work daily, then marriage isn't for you. Also, celebrity marriages, specifically those actively in the spotlight have pressures to be perfect that non-celebrities don't have. Live your life and love hard.
Marriage is something to do when you feel the ingredients are there between yourself and the other person to make it last for the long haul. Ideally you'll grow as a couple but other times it's harder to do, so you grow apart.
Statistically speaking, the more times you've been married, the more likely you are to divorce again. Children who are products of divorce are at a greater likelihood of being divorced themselves. When the woman earns more money than her husband, there is a good chance they'll divorce. The more housework a man does, the less aroused a woman tends to become by him. Just communicate, communicate, communicate and work together and it has a better odds of working. Ultimately, I believe the only reason to marry is if both parties want children.

We didn’t outgrow each other as we invest in ourselves & our relationship that’s why we are still here together today living our best lives and our children are now grown men. I am part of a long term relationship, which started when we were both 16. We are now in our 40s. Who knows what ended Tia’s and Cory’s union. As you said people are not the same as when they are 18 to when they are in their 30s-40s. Trust me I know. We are all human and no one is perfect or keeps the same views, vibes or goals from birth to grave. We are all forever changing. Which is even more challenging with our personal relationships.
I mean how many of us are still connected to the friendships we made in school?!? Having any kind of friendship/relationship that lasts longer than ten years is a feat!

For some reason I could see this. Cory just sometimes did not appear to be present when Tia and Family would have events, His body would be there, but there was just something about his expression, his body language for me. I always watched Cory's body language for some reason. Sometimes you just get a feeling about a person and I had that feeling about Cory. The announcement really makes me sad because Tia always seems so positive. I pray peace over her and her family.

It's really sad that they're splitting up. But I think this is honestly the best way for celebrities to handle an relationship. They didn't air each other's dirty laundry, public social media fights, back-stab, talk down about each other and seem to have a very reasonable pre-nup. Their issues were so private that no one (outside of their personal circles I'm assuming) even saw/expected any red-flags. I hope they'll stay civil as they co-parent.

I felt called to comment only because I (unusually) just watched 2 videos of Tia today and yesterday (1 was just this afternoon in a video with her and her sweet daughter cooking snacks). Also, today I saw a clip of Tamera on CBS and had already bookmarked a couple of hours ago that I was going to get her book tomorrow morning. So Tia and her sister had been on my mind today and yesterday (which as much as I love them, is unusual).

Things aren’t always what they seem. Remember you are always on the outside looking in when it comes to a relationship. Things can be very different behind closed doors. The signs were sorta kinda there. I remember an interview (it might have been a video of Tia’s) where she was saying how she’s always busy and Cory was at home and was trying to get back into acting. Idk guys. I'm a highly intuitive being, and the last time I watched a video of Tia, Corey, and the kids there was something off, and I just couldn't put my finger on it. I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but the energy between them was weird. They didn't look at each other with adoring eyes like I was used to seeing them do. Mainly, it was Corey. The eyes are the window to the soul. They never lie, they speak with no words. So, I'm not shocked. I think they're both good people. They just grew apart, like many people who have been together for a long time do. I hope the adults handle this amicably and their kids don't have too much difficulty adjusting to the split. It can be tough on kids, but children can be very understanding, courageous, supportive, and extremely wise when it comes to matters of the heart. Tia is a great mother and Corey is a wonderful father, so I have no doubt in their ability and willingness to work this out stress and drama free for the sake of their children

Marrying Tia Mowry was an UPGRADE for him. Even though he’s a steady working actor (NOW, I love him on The Chi), she’s been acting as A BRAND since she was a child. She and her sister were also part of a singing group once.

I was shocked, to say the least, when I read about it a few hours ago. Things happen and you can never really know what is going on behind the curtains, especially in a marriage. I wish each of them the best as they move on separately. I have no fears they will co-parent successfully.

I prefer not to be THAT one, but I never liked him. They always seemed like a mismatch to me. He seemed to have wayyyy to much attitude for her bubbly personality.
I don't know about anyone else, but as much as I loved them and saw them as goals, another part of me, as the years went on, saw this happening. I've always felt like even though Corey had a nice career, I've always felt she carried the relationship financially. I used to think this to myself all the time. So, I think eventually it grew old. Not just for her but him as well. The love was there but financially I feel things might have been rocky. Idk. That's just my thoughts.
That seems plausible. I mean I honestly didn't really KNOW him until SHE discussed who he is and what he does on an episode of "Black Love" that shows on OWN....oh yeah...they were on "Black Love"...and now...Wow.

Well I watch the show "The Chi" on Showtime. Corey had a very risque role on it. He performed some very shocking sexual scenes. Sometimes couples do not handle seeing their partners do provogative roles, even though they are both in the industry. Tia does pretty clean TV and they both are Christians. Could this be what broke them up?

It’s two times now I’ve seen celebrities, actors/actresses perform risqué scenes in shows, when they were in sort of conservative relationships and then shortly after there was news of divorce….. Megan Good and her husband and now them. It’s probably just coincidence but is worth noting. I’m sure in both relationships there were many other things that led up to this point but him taking that role seemed like it was over for them to me and sadly what I was feeling was right in both instances…. Settle compromises
