They literally went through a traumatic experience where their friends were forced to kill each other and they were survivors. They also all work for the Future Foundation. Honestly, I would've been absolutely shocked if they weren't friends.

@@malgamerz I actually watched the anime before since I was not aware of the extremely confusing chronology. Izuru is Hajime . Right? After they experimented on him. Then he went and killed those students from the main branch
