As an animal lover, that execution seriously broke my heart. I almost cried at a few of the other ones, but Gundham's was just too sad to resist... TT^TT
I FCKN CRIED SO HARD TTAANNNNNNNNAAAAAAKKKKKKKAAAAAAA I'M SO SAD I NEVER WAS EVEN CLOSE TO CRYING THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE GAME BUT THIS. THIS MADE ME JUST.... UUGGGHHH my baby is in a better place now at least..............
@@yueuphoria8952 Absolutely not true at all, there is not even a W nor a H in Nagito's name, that conclusion is absurd, I have no idea how people even come to that. Nagito Komaeda is literally an anagram of Makoto Naegi da, which in contex translates into English as "I am Makoto Naegi".
I didn't like Tanaka at first, but this chapter makes you love his character. I absolutely agreed about his speech about not giving up on life. I wonder if he really intended to sacrifice himself so that the others can get out of the Funhouse. This is the saddest execution. I feel sad for the Four Dark Devas of Destruction.
I just realized that the conversation between Komeada and Monokuma hinted or alluded that Chiaki is a real person before she (spiritually) became the AI in the Neo World Program. There are 16 documents because in the real world they are all 16. Ok Chiaki being a student in D3 doesnt feel like a random decision now. For me
but Monokuma makes it clear that he slipped in false information into the file so anyone obtaining it couldn't figure out the traitor by that alone... remember Chiaki shares a birthday with Chihiro because she was created by Alter Ego and she shares some physical characteristics with him albeit vaguely Chiaki being a real person was a retcon
This execution was too sad. I don't think he way a bad guy, but like most of them, just someone forced into an impossible situation to survive. I do think he wanted to give the others a chance to survive and probably picked Mechamaru because he knew they felt the same way (in addition to Nekomaru having died once). Also no my Sonia/Gundham ship why 7:15 I do really like the cgs of him in game. They go a lot better at showing how unhinged he is than the regular character portraits. I'm curious when the reason for his obsession with "absolute hope" will be revealed. It seems like something must have caused it.
He's so brave though...He wanted them to live, sacrificing himself :( (poor Devas..they looked so sad) (btw I'm still wonderng HY HE ACTS / TALKS like fucking lunatic grr)
From the DR Wiki (note: DO NOT VISIT if you haven't finished watching the game): "It is possible that Gundham's delusions of self-grandeur stem from an inferiority complex and pseudo syndrome known as chuunibyou, which would explain his strong belief in his apparent origins and his eccentric behaviour. If this is truly the case, then Gundham overcompensates for his underlying, probably gentle spirit by creating an entirely new, exciting personality." This site does a good job of explaining "chuunibyou": en.dic.pixiv.net/a/Chuunibyou The Urban Dictionary entry is also accurate.
+GlitchyVirus Hi!I've actually read his page a year ago or so because I stumbled upon a fanart on tumblr ...I just coldn't help it (FML!) but thanks for the tip! btw I meant I wish they gave us some sort of backstory (family and elementary/middle school days) but unfortunately we can only guess T . T (the wiki theory kind fits him perfectly though)
Ah, I understand. There are some hints as to several of his delusions (such as his mother being a horrible cook, so that's why his body is filled with poison) and why he might have chuunibyou syndrome, but there is nothing absolute or concrete, sadly. Something to note and look forward to, though, is the anime that is currently in the works. There are going to be 2 arcs: the "Future arc", which will feature Naegi, Asahina, Kirigiri, and several other new members of the Future Foundation in a brand new murder game. The second arc is the "Despair arc", and it will cover the backstories of all the Remnants of Despair and how they became involved with Junko. This could be crucial for understand how The Tragedy occurred and what role they played in it, as well as just a general backstory for the characters. Hope you're as excited as I am :D
You should check out Tanaka's character analysis on youtube...they pretty much decipher everything, but then you realize how sad his past is - and cry even more T___T
DBR Liamg hmm...are you sure about that? The makers don't clarify this of course, but if you look very closely, there are a lot of things which point to the fact that Tanaka intending to get killed at Nekomaru's hands, not the other way around. Just hear me out, please. Think about this - is it really possible for someone like Tanaka, who can't hold a candle to Akane in physical strength, to defeat Mechamaru? If Nekomaru wanted to, he could have punched the daylights out of him before his hamsters could move a muscle. This was the tragedy - Nekomaru didn't want to kill anyone, and he thought his death would be for the best. That happened - but now what was Tanaka to do? He did the only thing he could - he set up the body and decided to trust in everyone's ability to find the killer. We all know Tanaka was damn intelligent - if he meant to leave alive, he'd have done everything he could do to cover his tracks. He could put oil on the hammer by hitting Nekomaru hard on the side before hanging him up. He need not have suspended him with a *wire* - a chain would have been more ideal (so the wire wouldn't snap or the doorknob come off). He wouldn't even need an extra chain to lock the strawberry house door; Nekomaru's chain would have done just fine (and made it look more like a suicide) Now why was Tanaka running between the two houses with a flimsy wire he could have switched for a chain, or a hammer he KNEW no one would be fooled by? There's only one explanation - he thought they'd be used against *him*. Another thing; Tanaka could have actually gone to the bathroom when he saw Kuzuryuu in the lobby. The bathrooms were on the first floor next to the Final Dead Room - he could simply go there and complain of a upset stomach later. The reason he was thereto hear the alarm was how he was discovered, after all. But he didn't leave. The most damning evidence - Tanaka *could have chosen another victim*. Nekomaru created the problem of the alarm clocks - if he had tried to summon Nagito (he'd have gone willingly for the sake of hope) or even written to Kuzuryuu (remember, Kuzuryuu didn't think much of his life since Peko had died for him) he could have avoided all this. If you're wondering why he never owned up after the body was found - it was because of Monokuma. Remember, Tanaka made everyone skip Tai Chi, crashed the pillar and messed with all the clocks. If he'd spoiled Monokuma's fun by owning up and ruining the class trial, Monokuma would definitely not do something good. Second - he didn't confess to his intention of saving everyone because he didn't want anyone to mourn him. If they realized he'd sacrificed himself, they'd not be able to move on. From his free time events, you can see that Tanaka was actually a person who thought a lot about others. He didn't want a sad ending. Tanaka said really absurd things during the trial, like 'I'm the Ultimate Weapon!' and 'Even someone as diabolical as I would not commit murder' which screams suspicious. And no, I don't think those were a slip of tongue. Despite saying exaggerated things, Tanaka is not outspoken by nature. In the first chapter he didn't open his mouth at all unless he was spoken to. In his trial he could have easily retreated into his shell. But he didn't - and actually contributed to the trial. All these details together make it doubtful that he preferred surviving himself over the others living. I'm pretty convinced he didn't mean to live. At the very least, he'd have thought of some decent excuses to give the others when they accused him. ...in his last free time event, he tells Hajime *"I will not let you die without my permission."* Tanaka is available to talk to the day before the murder; all the way to the night. You'd think as a murderer, he'd be perfecting his plan. But nope, he was spending time with Hajime. It wasn't because he was stupid (the life-threatening Game he cracked proves that) He just wanted to spend as much time as he could with people he'd started to care about...more than himself. And that's why just like the fourth case, just like the other cases in this game, is themed as a *suicide* to match with the suicide of the fourth game.
Tanaka Gundham, the guy is right, I mean, giving up on life, and choosing death is an absolute blasphemy; that choice definitely goes against natural order
this is the saddest execution ever, i’m crying! his last words to his Four Devas.......T-T but what happen to Four Devas? i thought Sonia-san will take them..
I dont wanna be that person But I deadass thought that Gundham would yeet his hamsters like GO PIKACHU and survive the mf execution but i guess fate said no
I thought Peko's execution was sad...but...the way Tanaka put his hamsters to the side, and the angel pets took him up. ;;
All the executions are really sad to me-
@𝙸𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚐𝚘 𝚗𝚎𝚔𝚘 Her execution really sucked ngl
@𝗆𝗂𝗅𝗄𝗂𝗂 ♡ they wont do that becuase, its what *Mikan* wants.
Same as Gundham, He wants to be in hell so Monokuma sents him to heaven instead.
I know...
Btw they are DEVAS NoT hAMsTers
Tanaka and Nekomaru.
They were great dudes. Fought and never gave up until the end.
THIS BROKE MY HEART I LOVED GUNDHAM
Same here

This is the only execution that I cried my eyes out. I LOVE GUNDHAM SO MUCH T__________T
heyyy stop this...after Ibuki death, and now it's Gundham! I can't handle this feeling... :(
The person Monokuma says is like Komaeda is Naegi from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc... Right?
Pretty sure... I mean Komaeda even says that that person is unlucky, which the game portrays Naegi as a person of bad luck. Idk.
@@dreaaaaaa_ And if you mix up all the letters composing the name "Komaeda Nagito", it can form the phrase "Omae wa Naegi Makoto" (=I'm Makoto Naegi).
