A good guy that said I will not work with big ego people. That always stayed with me as class.

I guess he wishes that he didn't bring that device out as soon as Queen Kong came out!

Hey AJ , I forgot Pat Sajak had a show. I grew up in LA in the late 70's and 80's and he was a LA newsguy. I think he was a weater guy.

@@stevedriscoll2539 Hey Steve, and yeah he was a weather guy. In fact, that's how he got the Wheel gig. Merv Griffin was watching the news one day, and he saw Pat doing a running bit during it, involving moving a bandage around his face from segment to segment, simply to amuse himself with the weather in LA being predictable typically. Well Merv was amused by it as well and had to have him, so he got in touch, and the rest is history. He talks about the story here. ruclips.net/video/G5ncxWdJjNU/видео.html

@@ajk whoa, that was a interesting interview! AJ, isn't that like the most watched and highest rated game show of all time?

@@stevedriscoll2539 It's certainly one of em, I think in syndication it was #1 for many years (Jeopardy being #2), until Steve Harvey's Family Feud surpassed it. Which is ironic, because when it went into syndication in 1983 (with Pat of course at the helm having started just over a year and a half earlier), it had a big part in the original Feud with Richard Dawson getting cancelled. Up till then, Feud was the king in nighttime (and daytime too for a while), it was one of the first shows in fact to go 5 days a week there vs. just once. It was THE show basically during this time. But once Merv came in with Wheel and then Jeopardy a year later, it all changed. Within 2 years Feud was gone, and the Wheel/Jeopardy hour as it would become known in most markets was off and running as the new top dog in town.

This show was almost as good as the Jeff Probst Show.
