I want to add something, it’s about the feeling we want to embed in the video, sometimes a gimbal is just too « robotic » or too « smooth » for filming peoples, sometimes you need a bit of camera shake to make the spectator feel the scene, like living the moment. I am personally using my gimbal (M6) for landscape, nature and beach. And i shoot handheld when i want to shoot people and add feelings What do you think?
You have a valid point. The thing is that there isn’t a fixed formula. Sometimes a gimbal is The right tool, other times handheld. They both have different distinctive features. I also agree with what you say.

So did you say that you can do a time lapse with a gimbal handheld? Not on a tripod? Never tried this. Just ordered the M6.. prior had Smooth 5. This thing looks much better... especially with lenses added onto a Pro Max iPhone. Great info here! Thanks!

How do you record, I assume by yourself, at head height? Do you just bring a large stand with you? It seems every clip of you is completely static
I use a lightweight victic dslr tripod that I can easily carry in my camera bag. amzn.to/43TkLlw.
