    • @Retro-Iron11
      @Retro-Iron11 16 дней назад +2

      @@Irish_Thørn_Tree28 Ok, the plastics are made with uv stabilsers mixed in, those get used up and thus the plastic yellows. You only get it on the surface as that is the area exposed, there is no magic coating on most plastics aside from things like automotive headlights which you should never treat until they have gone badly yellowed as you're just speeding the process up by removing that coating. You can then add your own coating of a uv stablised clear coat paint. Not just any paint, it must have uv stablised specified on it.

      If someone didn´t understand, I clarify one thing: if you want to use percentages by mixing water and hidrogen peroxide you should be able to buy pure hidrogen peroxide, which I doubt it to be easily available as it is extremely dangerous. A very different thing is if you can buy the peroxide with a percentage in the label. In my country it´s sold using volumes in the label, not percentages.

      You can get hydrogen peroxide in a cream base which you can apply with a brush to your handles on the washing machine. You will then need to setup a UV LED light and rotate it around the handle and re-brush the peroxide cream around the handle every hour for approximately 4 to 8 hours (depending on the strength of the UV light). Be sure you wear proper UV rated sun glasses when entering the room and a long sleeved shirt otherwise you can severely damage your eyes (UV light ages all structures of the eye including higher risks of corneal damage, cataracts and macular degeneration) and skin (sunburn).

    Minha experiência com a decomposição do H2O2 - Peróxido de Oxigênio (ou Água Oxigenada) é mais rápida quando exposto à luz ultravioleta (UV) com LUZ NEGRA (aquela utilizada em casas noturnas) pois na prática o uso da luz solar segue o mesmo princípio, então você pode utilizar num quarto escuro com uma lâmpada de luz negra (duas lâmpadas de no mínimo de 15W cada) que dará o mesmo resultado da luz solar. Mas tem um detalhe importante, esse processo não dura muito tempo, ou seja se o objeto estiver desprotegido por 6 meses sem uma capa protetora ele vai amarelar novamente, então entenda que esse processo não é definitivo!! Fiz muitas aplicações (tanto no sol quanto em luz negra) e garanto que não dura mais de 6 meses.

    What about plastics that you can't remove to soak in hydrogen peroxide? My attic fan is a terrible yellow, but it can't be removed the ceiling.

    Can this work on yellowed pvc canvas used on louis vuitton handbags

      You will bleach the canvas. This works on pvc PLASTICs. pvc canvas is cloth material COATED with plastic. For this o work, you have to submerge the whole surface in a liquid or gel, u cannot do this without wetting the fabric coated by the pvc.

    I have a big portable AC that became yellow. It's too big to drown it in liquid. Is there a way to apply a product on it instead?

    I've done this with bleach in the summer in the sun just whipping the surface over with bleach and leaving for about ten mins no longer as can eat away at plastic

    Hi! Thanks for the vid. I was wondering. You said to leave in direct sunlight for 6 hours. Do you rotate the containers or move the pieces around to get sun coverage on all sides?

      Hay peroxido en gel lo usan en peluquerias, lo aplicas con pincel, no es tan concentrado por lo que demorara mas en blanquear. Saludos !

    I am reluctant to believe this, because Sunlight turns H2O2 to water. I don't know how long it takes for this to happen, however.
    EDIT: OK, I looked it up. from a Google lookup:" When exposed to light, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can break down into water (H2O) relatively quickly, with the rate depending on the intensity of light and the concentration of the H2O2 solution; however, under typical conditions, a noticeable decomposition can occur within days, especially when exposed to direct sunlight and UV rays, which significantly accelerate the process."
    The breakdown of H2O2 is most rapid when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light from sunlight. . . .
