I am 22 and got recently diagnosed with ADHD and my god everything made sense. I used to paint for about 18 hours with no water and didn’t move an inch. My parents always went in my room and were like, “Wait, you didn’t eat anything all day?”
diagnosed at a young age and same I would stay up till 5 am doing digital art with coffee and keep in mind I started at 3 pm. No I didn’t eat. Solidarity!
I would do this too, especially when i get really into it, like one time I got into a book series and never left my chair and didn’t drink, eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, just kept rereading stuff I was 9 🙂
It happens quite often to me that on weekends and holidays (when I‘m free for a whole day), I am in my room literally the entire day without eating, drinking or anything. Just at my desk with my computer or pencil and paper, writing code, math proofs or solving some questions from physics assessment tests (anything that requires some large amount of logical problem solving, that’s really the only thing that keeps my brain stimulated next to music). Luckily, I have a dog in my household so I‘m leaving the house at least once a day.
So relatable because it happens whether I'm hyper-focusing or being inattentive. I do this at work a lot. I'll focus on something else instead of getting my task done, then I'll realize I have to go but tell myself I can't until I finish my task, so I start doing it and then get distracted again....
I spent 14 hours reading a book about the Dionne Quintuplets (the first set of quintuplets to survive in 1934). It took me 14 hours because I would read a page, then not register what I read, OCD would flare up and I would read it multiple times over so I wouldn't miss anything, focus so hard on doing that that I forget what I read again, then eventually give up and move on to the next page of the book. Then I spent an hour and a half explaining the entire book to my history teacher the next day.
This is just too accurate, Ive been sucking at reading and watching videos lately for school and leisure cause I can’t process it and have to go over it several times and write to sum it up
@@JlNXED I'm just not good at absorbing information through texts, especially because hyperfixation will make me so determined to read and understand every word.
Atleast she was aware she needed the bathroom. Sometimes my brain blocks out all need signals, so I don't realise how much I am hungry/thursty/or need to pee
I had stayed up for so long( 40 hrs ) that my mom told me she'd ground me if I didn't get some sleep. It was my senior year of highschool and I had forgotten about the A.P biology project that was due before summer break ended and school started. Anyways it was 3 days until it was due and I hyper focused and got it done in less than 2 days and got a 96 on the project
I once waited up until the day before the final entry date for an tshirt art design contest. I for some decided to draw out the design at 3am of the due date. Finished it a 8am and then handed to my mom to turn in at work at the hospital that was holding the contest. I won and they framed my entry for me to give back to me afterwards. Hyperfocus is amazing when it happens!
One day of [something]'s school day Breakfast: woke up late. Lunch: worked on my painting for 1 hour (I noticed I skipped the whole lunch when the bell rang) Afterschool: I forgot to buy dinner. Had one chocolate bar and worked on my drawings again. Dinner: **dyeing**
I once stayed up until 6 am on a school day because I got hyperfixated on a book and I have time blindness so I thought it was like 3 but it was 6. I finished the book though!
Just spent two weeks writing my testimony. There were a couple days where I barely moved. Hyper-focused on it but at the same time couldn’t organize the dang thing because there were too many parts. It was a painful two weeks.
This happend with mh ferind last night. We sat so and started a game ( both of us have adhd ) then we looked out side. The was bright out we check the clock and it was 7am we unintionaly hyperfocused on gaming. No bathroom brakes no food nothing welk iver 12 hours of gaming lol.
How I am at work. Will stay behind to finish an obscenely endless task. Im to clock out at 4 but will not actually leave until exhaustion which ends up being 6:45. That is why I am always dubbed the hardest worker at jobs...when its really a symptom of ADHD smh. (Yes managers have tooken advantage of it....)
I have accidentally stayed up ALL night a few times, and on some of them I would have school the next day.. I'm writing this at 3AM. 😰😃 And also sometimes I can be like; Me: I need to use the bathroom Brain: Hold on let's just finish this first. Me: Ok. 2 and a half hours later and doing so.ething completely different. .. Me: Wait.. Didn't I need to go to the bathroom? Brain: .... Oh yeah.... RUN DOWN THEM STEPS AND GO USE THAT RESTROOM!!! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ -Someone with ADD.
This happened to me last night. I was told to clean my room and sort out all my clothes so I could have the space that I always want and need. But I do other things. And then at 11 my mum comes up stairs and sees my tidying my room-
I'm doing it now. Had to go to the bathroom before I even discovered your shorts/videos, basically watched all of them just now, still didn't go to the bathroom, but need to soon, so I can charge my vape, which I keep (the charger to) near the bathroom in order to not use it alll day long. So yes, kinda like this video loll
I hyper focus on laundry or packing or something some nights and literally realize how late/early it is when I see the glimmer of the sunrise through my window
When i was in college for graphic design and animation, i remember not going to bed for 2 to 3 days straight. Working on a sculpture, storyboard, and 3D model, i was so stressed out. I knew i was going to fail 1 or 2 of the classes but, something told me to get it done. Maybe it was financial aid and being afraid of failing and/or giving up.
I almost learned an entire language on hyperfocus when I found my mom's french textbooks. I spent like 15 hours learning the basics (A1 and A2) and was starting with B1 when my parents woke up and realised I hadn't slept 😬😅. I learnt English in a similar way when in quarantine I spent a day and a half reading English books and translating the words I didn't know
I remember that time when I was seven and there was a drawing contest for like idk some kids magazine. I spent *7* straight hours, didn't even get up to eat or drink
I had ADHD when I' am in hyperfocus state I almost don't care abt everything until this one task over. When it over the fatigue is really bad even migraine are the worst
I can read for a whole day with no bathroom or meal breaks lmao my used to get so mad but now she just calls my phone non stop/knocks on my door repeatedly to remind me to eat
I'm autistic and some of us also do this! Mine is usually with books. Most recently, I started reading the Hunger games at 11am. Next thing I knew it was 5am the next day and I'd finished the trilogy. I hadn't eaten or drank and used the toilet like 3x in 18 hours.
The bathroom thing sometimes I’ll be right next to the bathroom and have been needing to for about an hour but yeah I have to finish watching this video or finish making my food before I pee Ope next thing I know another hour passes and I haven’t Peed yet
I just got diagnosed a few days ago and my goodness this is so accurate it scares me. Yesterday i was there studying biology for 10 hours straight my mum literally pulled me to sleep
In 2020 we couldn't go to final exams because of Covid and the professors told us to make researches for each subject . They gave us 3 weeks to finish them . I worked from 5 pm till 5 am next day and finished everything in one day.
When I was about 13 when I still had my generic bucket of Legos from when I was a child I had spent nearly 6 hours making a semi working AK-47 out of Legos. That means that it had a working slide, a clip that could be removed via a mechanism, and a functioning trigger. Luckily I did not have the knowledge of how to make it shoot or I would have been there another 4 hours. Mom walks in my room at midnight, having woken up to the sound of Legos being sloshed around and sees me sitting crisscross on the floor like a gremlin with an adult sized weapon made of legos. She doesn’t even yell, just orders me to go to bed and to leave the mess. Having lived in a home where my ADD was undocumented and not understood ended up being a small blessing because I got away with a lot. This whole clip just brainblasted me back to that memory.
I will not eat anything for hours until I really need to so I set an alarm on my phone for every time I need to eat and will not bring myself to press off until I have eaten
That happened to me and then I got up and realized how badly I had to go. But I lost my key to my dorm so I had to find it before I left. I couldn’t find it. I had to pry my door open while I went. This wasn’t the last time this happened.
I was in the hospital for a few days with an iv because I forgot to eat enough and drank nothing but caffeine for a week. I thought I was having pms cramps but when my period never came nd it got worse I found out I had a bladder infection.
I hyperfixated on making cards for all my teachers for different holidays, I made 18 teacher appreciation day cards, 8 Halloween cards, 8 Christmas cards, 8 Valentine's day cards, and 8 Easter cards, and I did it all in like 3 and a half hours, it was fun tho and they look great
I think that i have ADHD and touretts (idk if that is possible) and when i want to do something but i accidently get hyperfocus my touretts kicks in and i punch my desk to unleash my self from hyperfocus. :/

I thought this was normal 😂 whoops broken brain club

‘Okay i need the toilet, right I’ll finish this one episode-‘ *two seasons later*
nooo not the toilet zone out! I’ve been attacked! 😭😭
I got kidney issues from these problems...
@@Liquessen oh no 😭
Get out of my head 😳
Also your profile pic *chefs kiss*
We did this when we were like, eight. We were playing with dolls and REALLY had to go to the bathroom, but we kept playing with the dolls anyways.
“Yeah I’ve had to for hours I just need 5 more minutes” is so relatable
So relatable because it happens whether I'm hyper-focusing or being inattentive. I do this at work a lot. hours seem to pass much quicker than 5 minutes can
The papers everywhere is an underated detail. And I never realized that postponing the bathroom is an adhd thing!
Omh the 5 more minutes when in hyper focus then the whole day passes
I spent 14 hours reading a book about the Dionne Quintuplets (the first set of quintuplets to survive in 1934). SAME! And it's even worse when my dyslexia starts acting up badly and I can't understand Any thing because its mixed and twisted.
Bro I'm trying to read your comment but it's not fucking registering
YESSSSS the good old combination of OCD and ADHD
I do this all the time with video games. I will wake up, get on my pc, and all of a sudden its midnight...
THE BATHROOM THING!!! It’s like my brain doesn’t allow me to pee until I’m done drawing
Atleast she was aware she needed the bathroom.
Sometimes my brain blocks out all need signals, so I don't realise how much I am hungry/thursty/or need to pee

I had ADD and I've wondered why I decide to hold it in and not just go to the bathroom,Nice to finally know its ADD XD
I still can’t bother to go to the bathroom 😰😰😰 it’s very hard to remember and even if I do I just do not care
WHYYY
Go, for the love of your bladder go, mines weak now.in my late 20's due to long wait times in my teens, I am always going, it's like being 50 or so.
You explain my life with ADHD better than I ever could. Well done!
I love when I'm hyperfocused, it's just my best state, even when it can be detrimental to my body.
U don't get burnout after hyperfocus?
I’ve literally said that before, “Oh I’m good, I got coffee.”
Literally not going to the bathroom right now just to continue doom scrolling 🤣
I may have ADHD my doctor hasn’t diagnosed it, but all of these ADHD symptoms are VERY relatable to me, also I’m a teen, so that’s something else.
Same

Lol I call it "the mad scientist mood"
42 and still going through this……. But on the bright side I think I’m a artist now. Thank you for being you!!!

“Wait it’s the morning” killed me 😂😂 This is SO me!
I accidentally binged a show and pulled an all nighter and my parents didn't believe me but yeah, this explains it
Brooo! That bathroom thing is soooooo accurate!!!
I once stayed up until 6 am on a school day because I got hyperfixated on a book and I have time blindness so I thought it was like 3 but it was 6. I finished the book though!
This explains so much....
Holding the pee thing is something I’ve never heard someone talk about. Glad someone finally did it cause I do that tooo ofeynnnn
“Wait it’s the morning?” is a sentence I’ve said more times than I care to admit

Sometimes when I’m watching tv or on my computer or phone I won’t hear others talking to me and then I get In trouble for “ignoring them”

I have adhd and when I was young, I was
so obsessed with finishing this lego. I spent hours
on it nonstop until i literally passed out wtf
Me last week when I spent 20 hours straight hyperfixating on a story I’m writing.
I just got diagnosed a few days ago and my goodness this is so accurate it scares me. Yesterday i was there studying biology for 10 hours straight my mum literally pulled me to sleep
Just the honey she is doing it again I almost just repeated

Considering that I have been awake for almost 48 hours right now with only two half hour naps yes
Same I have adhd from 3 years old and got diagnosed with it when I was 7 years old now I am 12
I normally can’t make it through the night without falling asleep
I've done this, so many times😂😂 playing video games or drawing for 8-10hrs. 😂 I wouldn't even notice the time going by🥲
I get like that one listening to audiobooks
I will not eat anything for hours until I really need to so I set an alarm on my phone for every time I need to eat and will not bring myself to press off until I have eaten
I dont understand when people get so surprised or shocked about hyper focusing.
Me last week not wanting to be out smarted by my computer
Me in high school. Only, then I'd go to school and repeat for 2 more days.

Omg that's 50 cards jesus, also I laminated the first 18 cards because I only had 2 laminate sheets :(
It's like a health neglecting superpower
I have had to pee now for three hours just don’t wanna stop doing what I’m doing

I am 28. Recently, i am diagnosed with ADHD. I think that the videos you posted are about me
This is so me and I’m 54, never thought it could be ADHD but maybe so!
I make props for cosplays and fun and if I didn't force myself to go to bed I would be up for days working.
This is my superpower 👌
Once my mom found me still doing a puzzle at 5am😬
"Coffee is not a meal."
How dare you attack me like this.
If I am reading a book I will lose track of time and forget to eat food so now my sister has to come and get me so I can eat someting.
Me when i work on my grafic design.
This is me but my phone from 12 am to up to 8am
I made 10 dozen cookies
We ran out of butter
I think that i have ADHD and touretts (idk if that is possible) and when i want to do something but i accidently get hyperfocus my touretts kicks in and i punch my desk to unleash my self from hyperfocus. :/
COFFEE IS A MEAL.
