- About 1/4 mile north of Barefoot Landing, is a new Amish store. This store features numerous unique items...Hand-crafted mailboxes, lighthouses, and more.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
We have amish in Cleveland and Rutherford County. Usually go to their house to buy their crafts or baked goods.
I discovered an Amish General Store in Hamptonville NC…about an hour N of where we live. Hoping to visit it soon. I wish this new business owner much success. Looks like a very unique store …why the area didn’t want it there is mind boggling. My brother collects anything lighthouse related. He would love to shop here. I’ll let him be aware of it. Yes, we are going to make a trip to the one in Hamptonville sometime in the future. Just not sure when. Your brother would love this one, if he likes lighthouses.
@@NCMemoryMakers He has done several oil paintings of light houses over the years. He's also an avid fisherman. For over 50 years, he goes to the outer banks every October for deep sea fishing. Not sure how much longer he'll be able to continue, as his health has deteriorated recently. He turns 80 on Wednesday.
I, too, was thinking that was a very different kind of Amish Srore. My dad and granny used to eat pickled pigs feet. The bakery looked 😋 yummy. TY

cool review, we have this place on our list to go to next time in town. same as you stated, how did we miss this store last time in town, might have been closed. looks really neat. that's so cool the items come from lancaster, pa. we live about 40 miles west of there in our little town in PA. maybe i should hook up with them, and make delivery's for them, lol. thanks for sharing. something different and new. wondering what was in the place prior to this store. don't recall.

Great review as always. My wife and I enjoy watching all of yalls reviews. We are from NC and frequent alot of the same areas in western NC and Tennessee as well as SC. This video actually saved us some time. My wife loves Amish stores but once we saw the no concealed guns sign on the door, we knew right away we aren't welcome. It says "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made". This shirt belonged to my mom.
They don’t look like mailboxes but birdhouses .
They probably had both, but the particular ones we were looking at, were mailboxes. They had the flag on the side of them.
Also, when we went inside, they pulled out the book and were giving us prices on the various ones, both with the mailbox poles, and without.
Y'all talking about Pierre reminds me of our Lil, aka Lily. I was a copy editor working for a Georgia Newspaper and this lady called in saying she wanted to run a full page ad for a dog she'd found who had been shot with rat shot and left alongside the road to die but she'd seen her and picked her up. The dog was still alive but her dogs didn't like it and wouldn't accept it. I asked her to bring the dog in so I could take pictures od it for the ad. She did.... it was a little 3lb chihuahua. She still had the rat shot embedded and her jaw was broken. The minute I picked Lil up and she laid her head on my shoulder, I knew.... She lived with us for five perfect years until we lost her to cancer. She will always be my most perfect princess.

Yes, our two stories are very similar. Not sure if ya'll have seen our tribute to Pierre, that we did back in July of 2021. It was the 2 year anniversary of his passing.
