I have felt all of the things you talk about with Lexapro as well as weight gain. I have weaned off of it and currently not taking anything. I can’t believe how different I feel and actually feel like I have emotions again and not so dead inside and indifferent. I’m doing meditation and deep breathing exercises to help with the anxiety now. I feel so much better!

I have never been on meds but for some reason the overly American podcast of Nicol Sachs (The cure to chronic disease) really helped me deal with deal with body discomfort that is caused by my emotions/thoughts (Panic/anxiety feelings). Nice ending tune btw!

Hey Marloes! Ik ben weer gestopt met Wellbutrin 😅. Ik merkte dat het toch niks deed voor mijn angst helaas 😕. Ik heb het ongeveer 6 a 7 weken geslikt en ben tot 150mg doorgegaan. Ik ben sinds 1,5 week aan Sertraline begonnen en so far gaat dat best goed. Nog even aankijken of ik in dosis omhoog ga/wil, zit nu aan minimale dosis van 50mg. En even afwachten over tijd wat het doet qua bijwerkingen. Maar ik merk wel dat dit al veel meer doet voor mijn angst dan de Wellbutrin. Nu werken alle medicatie voor iedereen net weer anders, dus het is ook een proces van uitproberen ☺️.
Lexapro made me feel like I was on cloud 9 all the time. Like I was high. I was so happy that everything made me smile. I couldn’t stop smiling. People probably thought I was high. It affects everyone differently. Paxil made me feel like I had no emotions.
Good to hear that you are trying to figure out what works for you. Hopefully Wellbutrin is a better fit! Did you experience any withdrawal when tapering off lexapro?
I don’t think I really experienced withdrawal symptoms, but it’s hard to say because I also started Wellbutrin after a week of tapering off. And some of my old anxiety symptoms came back, I don’t think this is because of the tapering. So, a bit difficult to say, haha 💞
