This movie was great. It was a total throwback, a totally over the top adventure in a romantic destination, like something right out of the 1960s. I really don't get why it was so pooh-poohed, it leaned into the cheese, it knew exactly what it was and what it was doing and it was wonderful. I sometimes wonder if people who review movies even enjoy movies anymore.
Audiences have ADHD that's why. The movie is slow paced, with an old-fashion style. Younger generations mainly likr bombastic movies with a lot of intensity, actions and hooks that captivate the person's attention every 5-10 minutes! The audience also prefer active protagonist that take control over the situation rather than a passive protagonist who is pushed over by the plot and other characters. Those were also the reason why the movie John Carter failed in the box office.

Claiming that he was obstructing justice is way to far feached and I doubt any judge would find him guilty of anything. They cannot even prove from whom he was getting those messages.

He didn't face charges... Depp sued Heard for defamation because she told crap/lies about him in the media. She never went to court... it was HIM! The same in the UK case a few years earlier where Johnny sued an UK magazine for calling him names because of Heard's lies... HE was never sued! The media though loves reporting about it in a way that everyone who isn't following the cases properly understands it the wrong way..
