This episode is in collaboration with Hosoi, a listening bar, restaurant, and social living room for music aficionados in Stockholm. Mahlet "The SuperCat From Addis" Keleme is a selector focused on Jazz, RnB, hip-hop, soul, and the music from Ethiopia. When it comes to Ethio Jazz and Ethiopian Groove, no one offers it as generously as Ambassador Keleme. Raised first in Addis Ababa and then in Stockholm since the mid-nineties and with a foot in each home town, music, food and culture bind Keleme's network.
An evening with The Super Cat from Addis behind the mixer is to experience the newly released samsas for space in the sound system, recordings from Ghion Hotel on cassettes from the golden era of Ethiopian music, the traditional, experimental, and pop meet.

Why and how does My Analog Journal find some of the best DJs and curations.....every single time? This mix was fantastic!
A rigorous screening process and a long waiting list. Plus, all the good DJs know and recommend each other ;)
the track that starts at 6:00 is a GROOVE FOR THE AGES!!!!!!!
Sound like I have heard it before at the Ethiopian restaurants I go to
African beats song is 🇪🇷 🇪🇷 🇪🇷 🇪🇷 song😊😊😊❤🎉🎉
Awet Nehafash
LOVED this set. Yetikimt Abeba is such a banger.
wow, what a mix. music hits even harder when you know what they're saying, poetic
any chance someone could post the track listing? I was in heaven last night I heard this edition.
First artist sounded really like Jello Biafra’s vocal style from Dead Kennedys.
Never thought I’d make the comparison here.
Thank you for the video and channel 🔥
This was fantastic. I didn't want it to end, to be honest.
Yes keep it up! Sweet memories 💚💛❤️
Man that's one amazing pair of speakers.
they look like vintage JBL monitors but not sure the model, curious myself
It’s a pair of KRS (Kenricksound) 4351 speakers…
Stage, music, people, chill. MAJ you did it again. 🎶
There's something so evergreen about Ethiopian music, especially the jazzy stuff. Loved the set!
Ethiopiques Volumes are the best. And for modern vibes, the band called Dub Colossus is great!

ፐ!
How to support them & buy their sounds without any reference??
Send a message every time??
A list would be more practical...🤔🤔
The tracklist is usually shared by the dj after a few days. So you can start by being patient.
I don’t understand this attitude of treating this channel as if it’s a mandatory service or a service that you’re paying for.
Whenever I find a mixtape online that I enjoy, I make my research and find out about the song & the artist that I’m looking for. Which makes the whole process more interesting.
Instead of complaining, you can at least try to make your own research as well.
nice selection but there could be a little more effort with the transitions
not everything requires criticism my dude
shhhhhhhhhhhhh let people enjoy things, sweetie.
@@diyromania The chud is trying too hard to be as baseless and thought provoking as a redditor.
