I can't thank you enough for recommending Calecim. I got the serum and cream during the sale this month and they're both exceptional products. Brands like Allies of Skin and Calecim are at the upper limit of what I'm willing to spend on skincare, but when they work (and they work!) I'll never look back.
Love that you took the time to create an affordable version of these routines without sacrificing quality. That gives us some alternatives to the Auteur line of products. Thank you Desi! 💝💖
3 mos since starting your recommended trifecta. Texture is vastly improved as well as fine lines. I know firming sagging skin is a long game, but I see subtle improvements. Thank you for all you do.❤
Thank you Desi for sharing the morning routine video for affordable skincare . Awesome video as usual . Our RUclips community is lucky to have you share your thoughts and experience with us
Thank you. Im 41, desperately need a skin care routine. Your videos are very i formative and this one in particular makes me feel as though i may actually be able to afford products that will have results on my skin
I’ll continue testing and trying to find more affordable that meets my criteria of quality and effectiveness. We can get it close… Thank you for watching my videos and your feedback is important to me!
R&D and innovation is huge with the big brands that are sold in regular pharmacies- L'oreal, Neutrogena, La roche posay- these companies have SO much money behind them that they are able to do that. Luxury skincare like Sturm for example do not. I believe there are greats in both affordable and luxury. hard to figure out which luxury is worth it though/ actually work at all. i used luxury for years (BR, La mer, retrouve, sturm, mbr, skikncueticals, etc)- wasted so much money for irritated skin. most use essential oils and fragrance. once i started using mostly pharmacy brands ( with some koreans skincare/ luxury/ medical grade serums) my skin has gotten better. Cerave, as basic as it is, has also been a game changer. thank you for bringing this up and talking about affordable brands.
Desi, this video was so very helpful because the products are affordable, It wasn’t easy to keep up with Auteur, and Auteur was drying out my skin. It was most uncomfortable. I purchased some of the products you mentioned in this video and I absolutely love them even more than Auteur, can you please do a video on oil cleaners, hydrating face masks and body oil/moisturizers that are not harmful when absorbed into the skin. It’s challenging to keep the skin soft and supple in the winter ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These are great points. I use some non luxury skincare sometimes but I can tell the ingredients in my luxury skincare is farm more sophisticated and complex. That’s why I prefer luxury skincare because I’m investing in my skin.
I’m in the process of doing research on estrogen creams and their effectiveness. I’ll post a video soon when I’ve completed going through all studies and data.
Thank you for your informative content. I hope it’s ok to pay you a compliment. Without makeup, you are stunningly gorgeous. Your skin is absolutely flawless. Your makeup is also stunning and only enhances your beauty.
Thank you Desi for always helping us find the best products. Your skin shows you know what you are doing. I am using Calecim thanks to your wise advice. For dry lips I apply a couple drops of castor oil and my lips look supple and soft in the mornings, and it´s better than La Mer lip balm.
Love your channel. Thank you for the recommendations. I plan on trying the Extreme cream, Calecim and Eadem. I had seen Eadem before, but am I leary unless I hear someone I trust that has tried the products and give their honest opinion. I'm already a fan of Maelove. Thank you again.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I LOVE the Calecim serum and recently ordered the eye cream. Also trying InnBeauty mineral sunscreen. I also love BOJ. It is indeed very elegant and doesn’t irritate my eyes whatsoever.
I received my Calecim serum and have put it for about 4 days and I already see the difference not kidding. They also sent me the multi-action cream sample with it so together it's been great. I already have a little stock of moisturizers unfortunately so I'll finish them before ordering the multi action cream. I might order the Valmont instead to add to my inexpensive moisturizer.
*Girl, you literally look like a kid with no makeup on. You skin is AMAZING. I took am a skincare ENTHUSIAST. I would say I look 10 years younger than my age. But you have true skin gials*
Trying to build an affordable and minimal routine around the Calecim serum. I can't currently afford a luxury routine, but I am determined to get my hands on that little pink potion.
I love Maelove products, I’ve been using copper peptides and retinal and both are amazing 🤩 I bought the Calecim GF on sale and can’t wait to use them!! My friend sent me one of your RUclips videos and you just gained a new follower 😉 very informative so thank you!
I also can not use Vitamin C. ALL of them have that horrible smell and I have found that they do nothing for my skin. I will be buying some of your recommendations. Thank you !!
Hi Desi! I would love to see your take on copper peptides at some point. I have tried it once and did not like it. But I don't know if it is because it is not soo good, or, because the formulation was bad, as it was the classic Ordinary 🙄 Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for the note! I have made quite a few videos on Peptides. I suggest watching “Guide to Peptides” or “Best 10 Peptides”. Peptides are probably my most researched topic. Copper peptides is just one of 4 Groups of Peptides. You need a diversified product to be effective.
Thank you for the recommendations the extreme cream sounds good and is available in my country thought the elastic skin would be as well but not as yet 🤔 iv been useing copper peptides by neich beauty labs and loveing the formulas they have .
Thank you for sharing!! Love it! 💛🌷 Elastic Skin serum is just ok. I use it occasionally due to its smooth texture but it doesn’t do anything in particular for aging.
I absolutely love your videos! I watch several every single day! Question, since Eadem lip balm is anti-aging, can you use it over night, And not just during the day and as lipgloss ?
That’s how I use it too. I apply it before I go to sleep. It’s fantastic! Thank you so much for your note!!! I’m glad to hear you enjoy my videos. 💛💛💛🌷🌷🌷
@@desistark thank you and yes curious about Kbeauty products and numbuzin too. I have a microcurrent device and some comments on reddit that it results in fat loss (long term use). unfortunately I can't find any science to it. and wonder if you have any thoughts. appreciate your input so much
Hi Desi such an awesome video I recently purchased the innbeauty extreme cream and I am really liking it.Have you tried the elastic serum from that brand what do you think of that product?
Thank you!! I adore the cream by InnBeauty; the Elastic skin serum on the other hand, is just ok. The concentration of actives is too low to have an impact on aging concerns but I occasionally use it in the morning just because it’s a nice smooth texture. I would not recommend it though as an anti-aging serum, there are better products for the price. 💛🌷
Can you tell me, the Sisley cleansing balm. You said smells wonderful. But mine doesn't. It has a bit at a ,slightly rancid oil smell. I just bought a new one from Neiman Marcus, and it smells similarly. Please advise. Thank you
Hi Desi! Thanks for the video!❤ can I incorporate tretinoin with these products? I mean can I use them with tretinoin or does it have to be on alternate nights?
Hi! This is a Morning Routine only. The only products from here that you can use at night with Tretinoin are the face creams, the eye cream and the Professional serum by Calecim.
Desi, where I live I can't find these products and The companies don't ship here either. What is your opinion on Skinceuticals eye cream and other products?
Unfortunately, stem cells research is banned in a few countries in the EU, yes. I’m sorry. On paper Skinceuticals products are always great and their ingredients are high quality but the eye cream doesn’t do much. Valmont would be your best bet.
Acne scars, yes. It will expedite healing time. Growth factors should not be used on active acne though. Their function is to multiply cells faster so whatever is on the skin, it will “grow” faster. Great question!!
NIOD’s ingredients are fantastic quality. Their Copper Peptide serum is incomplete though as it’s only copper. The Maelove Peptide squad includes all 4 Groups of peptides and it’s quite inexpensive for the quality. Best actually if you combine the two.
You knocked it out of the park yet again! I have actually ordered almost everything you talked about or already had from watching you before. What are your thoughts of Photozyme? I have watched several interviews with Penn Smith and the creator of the DNA repair brand. I have the eye, body and face cream.
@ I have had several skin cancers cut out (The serious ones have been on my knee and on my foot that caused so many problems when you have an active job. They were several years apart but required so much time and steroid shots to get the swelling down. The shots were out of pocket and very expensive. Each one was about a year and a half to get back to normal.) The others could be removed without too much surgery. All but one place was where the sun never touched. So, I am motivated by the science of it and I think it is solid. I have watched several interviews with the company on Penn Smith. I really like them and they are high quality but I cannot say if they are working or not. The eye cream does seem to do a good job. You are supposed to apply them in the morning bc some of the ingredients are light active.
@ Thanks. I might give them a go. I’ve just ordered the Heliocare 360 AK sunscreen, as it has 3 dna enzymes. I use Heliocare already, but only just discovered this one when researching Photozyme. I think it’s meant for skin with, and to prevent, actinic keratosis
I’m so glad you liked it!!! 💛💛💛 I looked at Photozyme a while ago and ultimately decided it’s not worth my time even testing. From a scientific perspective: When a brand makes a grand claim like this one “repairs DNA”, there is evidence in a form of a controlled clinical study which is also published. There isn’t one from this brand. They claim they did an internal one, I’m guessing they gifted 100 products to people in exchange for a testimony which is illegitimate. The ingredients are predominantly humectants and emollients, couple of antioxidants and enzymes; all of which are already in my existing routine. For people with history of skin cancer, I’d say “yes, try it!” because you want to throw everything at it but for seeking just a skincare product, as I mentioned, I didn’t even thought it was worth my time to test it.
Hey Desi! Have you used the pigment brightening p50 lotion? It costs a little more than the original version but wondered if it actually works for PIH/PIE or if you recommend the Maelvor fade bright? Cost isn’t a factor so I am willing to spend more on something that works. I know Calecim makes a pigment inhibitor but I haven’t tried it. My concerns are only red spots (no brown). I use the Calecim professional serum already but my red spots are still there.
Hi! Lotion PIGM400 is useless. It’s pure vinegar. I’d stick with Original or P50V. I suggest watching my “How to fix Hyperpigmentation” video. I posted it a couple of months ago. It provides 2 different routines and a step by step. 🌷
