  • G'day guys, we are back with SRV with Ain't Gone 'n' Give Up On Love. It's just wonderful to watch SRV play, as I have said before it's like poetry.

Saw him twice and just awesome both times, Stevie couldnt even read music but he played blues/soul as good or better than most anyone and more so he played from his soul, his heart - you can see the emotion in his expressions and feel it in his playing. Ive seen interviews with him and heard others that were around him talk about what a kind humble person he was, we lost not only a guitar master when he died but we also lost a great human being with a gentle soul that had feeling for those around him. We miss you so much Stevie, and were so lucky to have all your great video performances to forever enjoy and never forget - RIP SRV.

I had the opportunity to see him in Charlotte and passed it up. Thought I'd check him out another time. You have no idea how I regret that decision.

Stevie Ray Vaughn... GOAT. That's a helluva thing to say in a world that's seen Hendrix, Page, Beck, Howlin' Wolf, Malmsteen, Clapton, Vai, Satriani, and other truly awesome guitarists... but for my money, I'll put it on SRV.

I so enjoy your SRV reactions‼️. He is truly amazing🎶. I hadn't actually seen this particular performance before so thank you for that. Since this was in 1987, he and the band had been through rehab, no drinking, no blow, even quit smoking cigarettes! Stevie led the way to sobriety and his brother Jimmie also got clean. Stevie devoted his last 4 years of sobriety to helping others get sober as well.
Interestingly after getting clean, he went from using those 0.13 gauge strings down to 0.11. He said playing sober (for the first time in his life) was like taking boxing gloves off! He could feel his fingers again! So he played so cleanly when he was using we could never hear those "boxing gloves" but his confidence and love for his gift truly shone when he got sober.
You said any link for Stevie Ray would get played. I am a new subscriber and would love to hear you react to Stevie and Albert King playing a set from their recording together called "In Session". He and Albert were very close and Albert was a major influence fir Stevie and his playing. This link is for "Don't Lie to Me". Enjoy🎶. ruclips.net/video/-ZL2b4O3nz8/видео.html

You want to hear a fantastic song. RIVIERA PARADISE by SRV Live from Austin Texas. Completely different from anything he has played. He said on stage just before he played. This is for everyone who has suffered or suffering,

I saw him in Fairbanks Am about a month before his passing. He was touring with Joe Cocker and since they didn’t sell enough tickets he bailed. Thanks Joe because Stevie played for about 4 hours! When he ripped into Riviera Paradise half the crowd rushed the stage and he was the coolest cat in the world! Phenomenal!

I see SRV and I'm clicking fast.
I watched a documentary that interviewed the band.
Stevie turned down a gig on tour with David Bowie on his Last Dance tour in the 80's.

The second song at this concert I believe was Looking Out The Window and this is also one of Stevie’s best performances of this song Really the whole concert was BAD A-S This man had soul music running through his vanes And the song Life Without You
This song is also done well and has a great message to share in the middle of it And it’s a different message than the video everyone else views on UTube Sometimes when im listening to one of his albums I always think About the great music we never even got to witness because of his tragic death I remember when I seen the news of death and I couldn’t believe it Man we lost one of the greatest of all time when we lost you Stevie RIP TO A LEGEND

I was at this concert and it is one of his best performances to this song Eric Clapton and BB Bing both said that it will be a very long time before you see someone come along with the talent like SRV had and I agree with that because this man was so passionate about this music and To me what was so amazing about SRV was how clear each note he played It’s almost unbelievable how he could just shut his eyes and play his guitars so clean like never miss note Even when he broke a s string he could just keep playing and most people couldn’t even tell This man was special

This is my favorite SRV song; This performance of it is tied with one at Capitol Theater-little shorter and also had crowd on its feet standing ovation. Suggest “Crossfire” that he did with a session band on show “Night Music”: pick shorter one that skips host

This is one of the best songs written by Stevie. Also love to hear him shout out to the audience with that genuine Texas accent!
I see where several others have suggested LIFE WITHOUT YOU - CAPITOL THEATRE. Warning-make sure you don’t blink or you’ll miss something special!! I recommend at some point watching that entire concert when you have the time; you will not regret it. Thank you for loving Stevie as we do here in Austin, TX!!! I would really like to introduce you and your fans to Harry Nilsson. He had one of the most incredible voices rock has known. When his first album came out , he received a call from England from John Lennon , telling him how impressed he was with his music. The next day he got a call from Paul McCartney telling him how impressed he was with his music. So naturally, the next day he was waiting for his call from George ! He sang one of the great ballads - Without You and also rocked his balls off - Jump Into The Fire ( the full version , not the single version ). You will be gobsmacked by his music , just like the Beatles were..

I don't know if anyone has pointed you to this concert yet, but it was filmed in Tokyo and has some of Stevies finest live work. Almost the first half-hour is all Jimmy Hendrix type stuff. About halfway through is a version of Tin Pan Alley that explodes into Dirty Pool in the most amazing way, and Lenny, the first song of the encore, is unmatched! Get comfortable before you hit the play button! ruclips.net/video/i3wgzIphPJQ/видео.html

It's like his whole body is shredding that guitar from his head to his feet. How does someone just know how to do that? I wonder if the angels at the gate to Heaven are grooving with us? I would if I was an angel, but that is quite unlikely ;*)
