I like this idea but to be honest there isn't anything in lore that would point something out.
Alot of RainWorld maps have been Completed recently, now time for the “Saint in his villain arc and terrorizes Rivulet specifically and constantly, before they can even process what’s even happening”
I can't help but think about how this AU could probably be caused by a simple increase in the funny circle speed.
Anyways I say that because I theorize that saint with the powers is still F tier in arena mode. (For pvp) However, that is mostly because pipes exist and some slugcats are just too fast.
To simplify this, please do not make it go faster things will not end well oh god no
I just needed to say this somewhere man idk. It has been on my mind for a while that Saint just kinda sucks when you can go a bit fast. This thought is amplified by rivulet being here. Who I feel is easily Saint's biggest counter when he uses the powers.
Hopefully I can stop thinking about this now and just move on, because I am not able to think too much about his powers without theorizing about his arena mode viability with them.
Anyways give him monk's spear damage. You basically did it with survivor damage and rivulet, so why not this weirdo?
I feel like a lock on kind of thing for the circle could also be an interesting way to buff the heck out of it. Like how would that go? Would it be fun to lock-on to things but ruin fighting against groups?
I need to stop talking about saint's powers and gameplay, this is just an AU map. There is no connection to gameplay here, but I just feel like I need to keep talking about this. Again, I just keep on thinking about how realistically weak Saint would likely be in arena mode even if he had his powers. Rivulet and Artificer are simply too fast. Same with Gourmand's slides. His ability to roll for long times is nothing to ignore either. Spearmaster, Survivor, and Monk are the only ones that I feel like Saint would possibly have a chance against. Spearmaster needs to stop to be able to create spears, giving Saint a window of opportunity to attack. Survivor and Monk are likely the slowest slugcats in the game, although that isn't saying too much considering how you can still go fast with them. Hunter has some extra mobility and the ability to carry two spears, which can either further enhance his mobility or make him better at attacking Saint, due to the fact that he has two spears. Although you cannot forget about the tech that allows him to hold 3 spears at once, putting Spearmaster to shame and making Hunter even better than he was before. Saint vs Saint would be weird.
So, do you finally understand what I have going through my brain each time I give thought to Saint's powers? Also don't forget that this is a scenario where Saint does get his powers in arena mode. The only real difference is a slight increase in mobility and an actual way to attack other slugcats, unless you are willing to throw a rock 100 times.
Reminder that this was all to vent what has been on my mind for about a month or two, maybe even three, now. Hopefully I can just move on, never to think about a video game mechanic this deeply in relation to an AU MAP where none of that even really matters in the first place.
Oh yeah also forgot to mention the fact that he can only use his powers for so long, and also the fact that the recharge time is waaay too long. I don't know if I considered this when going over what I theorize would happen with the slugcat match ups. It is safe to say that this is also another big nerd to any viability Saint could have had with his powers. Although he will likely be hard to kill due to how strong of a mobility tool his tongue is. It is basically a grapple worm that you can jump from mid-air. Saint has great mobility but his offensive options are garbage. Infact, his offensive options are so bad, that his incredible mobility isn't able to make up for it much. It can only really delay until his powers recharge, then you have to deal with what I said before.

And some just a saint. As the name implies, a simple passifist, a creation of time and nature and he exists weather he wants to or not. Hes a cycle in a cycle in a cycle and so on but after all hes still just mortal

Simply put, no can not go crazy after long enough of being immortal. Not to mention his powers.
I think of him more as that one chill guy with a pistol always on hand. He just uses it for emergencies or tomfoolery, both are the same either way.

Saint going crazy due to what I can only assume was hundreds of cycles of isolation is such a fun twist of the character. I love their movements in this that make even the rivulet look normal.
I like how the main defining characteristic of evil saint is his toothy grin I just love that everyone unanimously agreed that evil saint has a tooth grin and I just really like it. Idk how to describe it I just like his toothy grin

I'd say this might be one of the smoothest/fitting parts in the MAP, it has good animation quality, and a great visualisation of the emotional background to it.
By far my FAVORITE Rain World MAP of all time. THE ANIMATION IS AMAZING, THE COLORS FIT PERFECTLY, I LOVE THE AU, AND THE SONG IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Seeing my favorite game combined with a one of my favorite songs from my favorite artist has REALLY made my day. MY TINY LITTLE BRAIN CAN'T HANDLE THIS I THINK I'M GONNA EXPLODE- (/VPOS)

Yeah, I mainly like how they draw rivulet’s gills, as not something just tacked onto them, but rather an actual body part that reacts to how they feel, like being droopy when confused and shoot out straight when they are scared

It's finally complete! I'm so happy to have been a part of this, everyone did such a great job!
I really like color integrity here, even if everyone has different artstyles colors being same gives huge feeling of consistency. In other words great job it is amazing.
seeing the different styles of different animators is always fun to watch, especially when you start recognising the styles of different animators across different MAPs

This is insane!!!! One of the most talented lineups I’ve ever seen on a MAP! My personal favorite parts are The Nyan’s slugcat lineup, Velvetmelody’s super distinct style, Notluther’s 2mooth 2lithering 2aint, Splashpaws’ fluid animation and perfectly floofy lunatic, and Laiphena’s paper shower!

It’s even more interesting that way as you can see different art styles and experience levels colliding
Pretty mean to insult the artists with a backhanded complement like that. They all put time and effort into this and it came out amazing.
The graphics are similar, but the smoothness/FPS is higher, and the background are thought through more. I still think that all artist did good job with the MAP, far better than anything I could've drawn for sure 😅

@@Phoenix-kn8uk as a very cartoony person, I'm gonna stick to how I draw him. Not everybody is gonna like how I do stuff, and that's ok! You don't gotta like my art style. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the map, though :)
@@bluebaris6651To be fair, I'd say that seeing your art in the MAP gave an interesting contrast to the entire video, for I consider it's more important to show the way you interpreted these emotions and ideas, rather than how you drew them. You might've not spent as much time on these bits, because, being fair, it's not a lot of frames, but I like the art style you offer!
I've never been one for MAPs or this kind of music, but something about this one is really catchy and there are some very very well animated portions in here. I actually really like it!

Oh my god! The character animation is so nice, and the artstyle is so consistent! All of the animators did an amazing job with expressing emotion and facial movements! As always, velvetmelody's parts are incredible, but there are a lot of new faces here! I also like the little extra fandub animations at the end, Very nice!

This is really hitting me in my love for weird, random, and downright weird animations. 1:59-2:00 is my favourite, and that still shot along with the lyrics of the song going with it. It's just so.. perfect to me.
The funniest part about the evil Saint AU is it doesn't change anything 😂😂😂 like they still have a gun, but the gun always sends people to heaven so he's just. Extremely extra

This map is so chaotic I love it
this MAP is my saint’s expedition manifest, 90% of the missions are hunting and kill score. Playing Saint makes me hate everything Rain World’s world has to offer. Saint turning into a lunatic is absolutely warranted LOL, they’re a scrunklie and all scrunklies are either nice or the most wrathful beings to ever exist, and I think he’s on the latter end.
