I kinda love how, out of all the other slugcats, Sain't chose to be merciful and/or trying to make someone see _their_ way with Monk. It makes sense to me since Monk is the only other slugcat to be "in-tune" with the world around them, as stated in the start screen for their campaign. Monk is the second closest slugcat to the cycle/max karma. It makes sense for Sain't to try and show them everything, to try and get _someone_ to understand.

It’s like Saint is forcing monk to witness their morally questionable actions as a form of torture method.
Nah i feel like its more the fact saint thought he found apprentice, but monk rejected it after seeing that saint actions arent as good as he thought at the start, got scared and tried running away, saint got angry/disapointed and ascended him.

Saint could have taught monk to attune themself so they could finally escape the cycle they were stuck in. But they saw the horror in their actions through monk and decided that they would bear the burden alone.

Whoever did the ending and gave Spearmaster that little ear tag that was so cute! That seems like I really neat concept that SRS would tag his creations so other itorators like FP wouldn’t kill them mistaking them for pests ❤
r.i.p banana boy, at least saint seems regretful at the end so maybe he actually wanted to be friendly with monk instead of just taking to a quest to watch him ascend the iterators out just malice, i like how the saint at 1:27 looks, the circles around the eyes make him look like a giant plush

Man that scene with moon crying over pebble's death broke my heart. Imagine seeing your friend die in front of your eyes and not being able to do anything, it must be so awful.

No wonder why this one took so long, even the parts that are clearly made by less experienced animators are still of good quality.
There is also an intriguing amount of consistency, especially towards the start.

Good job everyone, i really like how consistent both transitions and art design are through whole video.
Im pretty sure this misses the whole point of iterators actually wanting to break the cycle and saint himself being stuck in it pretty much forced to ascend everyone because this is the only thing he can really do asides from just sitting around doing nothing. He is much like an iterator himself, atleast the part where he has to be the reluctant giver to the unknowing recipients.

I don't really understand this AU, since it seems exactly the same as regular Downpour, but everyone is afraid of ascension instead of welcoming it. Why is this?
Imagine some strange guy with permanent -_- expression on their face come to you and straightforwardly tell you "Hello. I will kill you now."
Or, in other words, no matter how sick the life seems to be, dying is still scary.
Monk (and the iterators) don’t really understand the ascension ability and find it frightening. Monk kinda only has saint’s word for it that it is “ascension” but it still seems unsettling to him. And he certainly doesn’t like being chased down by saint with a gun
