    Blacrolite began to be made in the 90s and was made until the mid-2000s

    Thank you Shane! I've been trying to figure out how to get a good jazzy sounding snare. I've been searching for that "wet" sound I guess. Will be looking for a set of those snare wires!
    Do you prefer in general, wood or metal for jazz snare? I just got a Slingerland COB (Sounding I think, 8 lugs) that I am going to do a cleaning on and new setup. Was considering using this as my jazz snare. Hopefully it blends well with My Saluda Green Goddess cymbals! 😎

      There's a Joe Morello video out that has him explaining how he gets a great sound out of his snare drum.
