    This is how I learned it from my WT sifu ( who trained in HK) here in USA.
    I like how you describe not only how to do something, but the why behind it as well.
    This is a great asset.
    Thank you.

    Extremely impressive and, let's be honest, VERY generous of 2 sifu's of this level to make this available for free. I've just started these sections so I'm most grateful for this. Many thanks.

    Very close to the way I learned from LT over 20 years ago.You guys go into great detail which is very helpful, especially as my si-juk just asked me to teach him this section. Looking at your presentation really brought this material into clearer focus. Unfortunately, people without a solid WT background won't "get it". Thanks for making this available.

    Just watched this again. For students of WT and its branches, this video aligns more closely with what I learned back in the '80s from my first instructor Leung Ting than anything else yet posted on RUclips. I learned in the USA. Of course, each branch has it's own take on these drills.

    Greetings ! Thank you for this video. In the beginning i was debating with myself for a ussual question of "oh another video of he does this and then does that and it never ends " bt i think i see a bit more clear how people who train for years can make the detail matter and then move again higher in more and more detailing and more knowledge . I find it never stops .We only get better than our past self . Thank you again !

    My first lesson on bil jee we learned how to crack the opponents incoming fists with the bil jee elbows. I don't mind teachers not teaching everything since its impossible to know everything. But, I do mind a teacher telling you not to use a technique in any form.

    Ok, that defines the general opinion in Genrman Wing Chun, "we are a fist fighting system".
    Good you pointed : "this is a bad distance for elbows."
    As for the place of the hand on the elbow, it was placed there for a reason on the original form, but modified in german schools for utilitary reasons like you said.
    Good job opening the german sections, and for the message : "don't be stuck in the sections".

    So my understanding here is that elbow strike/block to be used as last resort?

  • @Isaelcho
    @Isaelcho 11 лет назад

    That's obvious, that´s just Chi Sao (or Chi Shou, sticked hands) and it is for feeling the contact, to react by the touch, you train your contact reflexes, not visual.

  • @Liaret
    @Liaret 11 лет назад

    actually these r 2 different techniques, faak sau and fook sau. The one () is an absorbing hand seen e.g. in Chi Sao, other one is a horizontal palm, can be used e.g. for attack to the neck (my favorite attack, btw).

  • @cameronameri
    @cameronameri 11 лет назад

    30:42 or u could just step out of the way of the strike while lopping the tan sau, lowering it with ur elbow first, then lopping

  • @victorencarnacion4696
    @victorencarnacion4696 10 лет назад

    the concept is like a blind mans touch, you feel your opponent intention and counter. With modification it dose work in actual combat you have to know how to bridge the gap to apply it. Also i need feed back on this training tool called flo-pmj on u-tube thank you.

    Good Sifus...Bad Sifus...whatever you do wing chun, Hung styles...karate...Judo...jujitsu...mma..anything....if you have never fought in real fights, not ring sanctioned, you won't know if your art actually works for you or is for you. I train under Keith Mazza and I'm a cop...his Wing Chun training is real and it works cause I used it in the streets. Good luck to all on your training and I hope this Sifu is better than I think he is.

      paksau1 friends exists to test your abilities xD. However wing chun is about acting without mind. it is istintive. ahd what is istintive, work well. in a contest out of the ring, where an aggressor dont know that you will hit him, it works. in ring work and don t work because the enemy know you will attack him, you are there for it.

    I think you should use your elbow only when your forearm is grabbed by someone. Then you can change your tan sau or whatever into something like bon sau, and then elbow. If you force your elbow with a jun ma forward movement, I can sense it and do a shift of my body to the other side and change my fook sau into a woo sau to defend against your elbow and then change the woo sau into a gum sau. My right hand is free to strike you. Since your stance becomes very awkward, it is easy to push you around.

    This guy thinks that everything goes exactly the same like in the training...
    The best thing i have learned is to improvise and attack your opponent with the build-in techniques otherwise you will lose the whole fight. You need to end the fight before it begins

    "I don't want him close to me..."
    That's when I simply HAD TO stop the video and write this comment.
    In about six seconds I will click away & leave you with this lamentable pair of "sifus," very, very sure that I have not missed anything.
    Good luck.

    Very well spoken but the information given is for classroom use ONLY. real attacks happen at all ranges and elbow strikes are sometimes the most effective to use. Anyonw who has actually been in a full speed altercation with someone who WANTS TO HURT YOU knows that punches lead to broken bones. Effective close range techniques like elbows, throat chops/thrusts and sweeps are what work in real life situations.

      Chi sao is "feeling" with all the body.
      The attack will be different but you have a splendid tool to use it.

      Law Tuck Mun chi sao is needed to improve sensitivity when someone do something. in an application its a little different. in wing chun there is not only chi sao....
