I brought up having arranged marriages like they have in some Eastern cultures in a fb group and bw lost their minds. They said that they would rather be in a polygamous relationship than have their fathers , brothers or some other responsible man in their family choose their mate. I thought there would at least be some that were open to it since most claim that they were fooled by the male they chose to be the father of their child. By the time they're at adulthood, they've been helped with their credit, understanding of the world, have the dowry from both families because they've invested in them all their lives. There would be a lot more fulfilled couples out here. These growing clans would become communities in themselves, freely sharing fortune and woe because they've bonded over raising their children together. Thats also the added benefit of pooling strength which minimizes the struggle. That leads to needing to look outside for help less and less. Once that happens, government will really have to be for the people, rather than us divided and isolated, having to rely on the government, thus giving them leverage. Its unfortunate that we're so busy trying to blame one another that we dont realize that the family unit is the first and most important domino that needed to be toppled, now they're all just falling in place. This is sick! Man, I met my Japanese wife at 22, got married at 25, had kids, I took her out of the workforce to stay at home and take care of the home and focus on being a mother. That was 17 years ago. NEVER had ANY drama whatsoever. By the time they're at adulthood, they've been helped with their credit, understanding of the world, have the dowry from both families because they've invested in them all their lives. There would be a lot more fulfilled couples out here. These growing clans would become communities in themselves, freely sharing fortune and woe because they've bonded over raising their children together.
Thats also the added benefit of pooling strength which minimizes the struggle. That leads to needing to look outside for help less and less. Once that happens, government will really have to be for the people, rather than us divided and isolated, having to rely on the government, thus giving them leverage.
