Throttle cable>electronic throttle any day, etc. I have more expensive cars than "newer" hondas and acuras and I still prefer the 90-2006 cars for that road feel. But you wont understand.

@@darthdaddy6983 : I've never driven a Mk1 GTI, so I can't really compare the two, but what's so appealing about '90s cars to me is that they're a pretty much an ideal balance between driving dynamics, mechanical brilliance, modern(ish) conveniences and safety features and reliability. All G2 and G3 Integras had sophisticated front and rear double wishbone suspensions, high-revving twin cam engines and of course VTEC on the GS-R and Type-R. Many publications still consider the Type-R as the best handling FWD car ever built and, based on the direction of the current market, I doubt that will ever change.

My Favorite Car! Bought one in 1992, drove it for 7 years, and logged over 180,000 problem free & fun miles! I drove it through stormy summers in South Florida, and snowy winters in the North Carolina mountains. It actually survived Hurricane Andrew, which totaled my house (but not the car!) It was my daily commuter car and I dove about 80 miles a day. No troubles! Only traded it in to buy my wife an SUV when we were expecting our first baby.
Love seeing this one in such great condition. Thank you for keeping it running, and sharing it with us!!

A 92 Integra was my first car back in 1998! In the 20 years since I have owned over 15 of them, including two rare DB2 gsr's with the little known b17a1. Something about the second gen integra feels like the perfect street legal go-cart. Have to disagree with your comments about the steering wheel, transmission and available power. The roughness you may be feeling in the transmission is likely due to wear and not running Honda oem MTF. With simple things like a real cold air intake, DC integra intake manifold/tb, header, and exhaust 150-160 hp is easy to reach, the latter being with a good tune of course. Swapped with a b18c, h22 or k20, these DA integras will annihilate lots of more expensive sports cars.

Wind her out and it's a joy running tight corners and she will not die. So easy to repair with the right tools which are cheap and I use them for all sorts of things. Regular tools everyone should have. Integra is literally a slightly better Civic from the 90's but it WORKS.

"Has a lot of first gears" is the best way to describe a Honda transmission I've ever heard

NICE I like the older cars and you are lucky you have 3 of them. That was funny when you showed the radio and the rear view mirror.

I currently have a 1992 Acura Integra I bought it in California for $900. I drove it from California to Florida with no problems at all. It runs like a champ and still haven't had any problems with it. I hear that it's a very popular model to make into a race car AKA rice rocket. I've gotten my money's worth out of it I think it's time to sell it.

I bought a red 92 integra gsr 15 years ago. Bought it when I was 16yo for $3500. Was alittle much but worth it because of it being a GSR. The first car that came with Vtec. With only 80k miles for only a 14yo car in 2004. I took the 1.7L Vtec to reach 250hp all N/A. I kept the wheel and ride height stock. Jdm window visor and the one piece headlights. Car was my daily to work with heavy HW usage. Only raced it 3 time but only at the Sacramento race way to get it timed. It ran a high 13.8 in a quarter mile. It wasnt fast but was fast enough to get from being a 17.1 in a quarter mile down to 13.8 a quarter mile. Sold the car 8 year ago to get myself a 2001 honda crv 5 speed awd for a family and daily to work. Do I miss the car? Yes and No. Reason why i say no is because having the car for 7 years. It got broken into numerous time but couldn't get the car to start. And all that broken into only happen at the mall and at work.

I used to own the same integra. I had it for years and I took great care of it. It was a perfect car for me as I was in my 20’s.
