- This place has always been good to me! Started to have an interest in this little stretch and it never disappoints me - thanks to Google Maps. The Seine River is my easy access if ever I want to have a quick getaway just a few minutes from our house.

U should bring a landing net so u can keep the fish in the net in the water while u fiddle around with everything. That fish was oyt of the water so long, it probably died from stress soon after. Pike are a cold water species and being in the relatively warm rivers is tough on em already.
There's so many fish in that river. I got another spot on that river I'm gonna hit tomorrow. Most of the fish species in there are safe though, if ur using spinner baits and lures like that. Spinner baits work well for pike out at my cabin. There's a few other techniques that work much better in the rivers around here. And timing is key. The time of the year will dictate where the fish are, what fish are in there and what method to use.

Honestly, this place has been my training ground for fishing especially when I started using a baitcaster, though yes, you are correct about how I handled the fish, most especially that pike, still learning at this point, but don't worry, got all figured out. hope to fish with you so that I can learn something new.
