Thank you stephanie .. i did do my research and made sure the company had the same part number before purchasing the pump. Thanks for dropping a comment and watching :)
Hey nice video, I took mine out last night, Dived in & didn't remove anything other than pump only, O ring gone inside same area as yours but inside the head, Replaced it & re assembled & will not start & have a primer bulb fitted & primed hard & still no joy, looking for a spare pump today, & new O rings from merc, 👍
how do i know this is bad? cause i got edc error light and p1188 stop high pressure pump and p1622 valve stop fuel and i cant figure out what to look at i mean i understand but how do i know its bad befor spending money on stuff that is not broken
Thanks for the video. Definitely makes the install a lot easier. Can't believe we have to remove the radiator. I was wondering where did you get your high pressure fuel pump from?
It sure is a task but totally worth doing it yourself if you got the time. I got the pump refurbished from pf jones info@pfjones.co.uk It was about a thrid of the price of a new pump. They do international delivery as well. Thanks for watching Chris and your message.
Thanks for your video this one help me a lot, i need to change mine on om611, i just have a question, your motors restart well when it's changed or you need to do something special?
I have my 313cdi , 2001 , 2.1 litre 4 cylinder at the mechanics. Its a no start , problem started one day when i went to start after driving for an hour. It originally restarted with the help of Start ya bastard/ ether . They think it needs a new high pressure fuel pump as it has low fuel pressure in the fuel system . Just wondering if high pressure fuel pumps commonly fail with no warning ? Thanks for any information in advance 😊
@franklyspeakingdiy980 thanks for your reply. The problem ended up being the o Rings on the fuel regulator at the Ed of the fuel rail. It was a long wait but relieved is fixed lol.
@Frankly speaking DIY I have a leaky transparent pipe where it meets the black rubber pipe, so will be leaning to replace that at the very least, will be looking to remove the pump and reapply loctite to the bolts behind, I don't think it's leaking from behind the pump but I'm looking to do all preventative maintenance whilst I have the frond end apart. A new pump for the hell of it and in the mean time rebuild the old one could be a potential idea
@@wingingit3071 sounds like a good idea to prevent. Definitely sort out the clear pipe leak because it will cause other problems tp appear. When you work on your own vehicle you almost create a bond with it 😁. Wishing you success
Leak coming from the side where the small pressure sensor is "electric connection " originally it was the small torx bolt tjat was loose.. when i went to tighten it the bolt dethreaded and leak became a lot worse. Where is your leak coming from?
If rail pressure is low.. i would be looking at the high pressure pump as your problem. . There is also a small rubber washer at the back of the common rail on the control valve that may be a problem. Very cheap and easy to replace. But if you are losing pressure like that you will need to eliminate the problem. Maybe start at the diesel fuel filter. . Replace with a new one and see if there is a difference. You mite just have a bad fuel filter which is affordable to buy new 👍
@@DJEvoIX usually if fuel pressure is dropping and if there is no leak. . You would want to check your high pressure fuel pump, your low pressure pump, your common rail sensor / O ring. Have you got to plug it in to a computer to get a reading from the CPU? The common rail pressure / high pressure pump should be up around 200bars
@@franklyspeakingdiy980 thank you bro and a have problem with limp mode. While i m driving he just lose power nad acceleration and goes into limp mode what can be cause?
It could be a number of reasons for it to ho into limp mode. It can be air, mas air flow sensor, fuel problem, a bad injector, clogged fuel filter etc. Can you give me more details as what happens when it goes into limp mode? Try resetting the ecu first. Take off the battery thermals for an hour or two then reconnect . See if that makes a difference. Always start small with the problem and work your way up
@@franklyspeakingdiy980 thanks for returning my email no idea whats the problem it seems yo be the engine wont start and l will like to repair. And im located in arl va
@@monolitomonolito2191 hi mate.. im based in sydney Australia so the only help i could give is via HERE.. if the van wont start i would first look at getting a scan tool or find a place that can come and scan the ecu for you. That way any problem that exists will show up. 2 things i can think of are 1.. not enough pressure built up in the common rail due to bad high pressure pump ( should read about 200psi when cranking) or clogged fuel filter. 2..it could be your crank shaft postion sensor. The van will not start if this has gone bad. Its located above the starter motor. I've just recorded a video of changing the starter motor out which you will see where the crank sensor is. The best thing to do is get it hooked up to a scan tool to see if you have some gremlins
You were brave taking the van apart before opening the package & confirming they sent the right part! Glad it worked out.

Excellent loved the cable tie on the pump holding the hose in just like mine excellent

Priming the diesel system will help the motor start.. otherwise you may run the risk of draining your battery trying to prime the diesel system
@@franklyspeakingdiy980 thanks 🙏 how do you prime your system when you restart your sprinter?
Thanks
