Nate writes "Nate" (07/21/22)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!
Look at what Nate just did!!
We've been trying to get Nate to do some sort of writing for a few months. We'd get little snippets of an attempt here and there. And then... well... he went GANGBUSTERS!!!
Last night, I wrote "NATE" at the top of the tablet screen and asked Nate to copy it. He just stared and didn't do anything. The next morning when Michelle opened the tablet, the doodle screen was still up so she asked Nate to copy his name. And he just totally went for it! And then he did it a few more times... and then he copied "Mom" a couple times and then later did "Dad" and "Cat"!!!
Can you believe it????
Holy Moley was there a lot of excitement here when he did this!

This is great, I have been thinking about how Nate could use a tablet and boom you guys got him going on one.
Does he even need the guide letters? Seems to me he is writing on his own.

We tried it without guide letters and it's a big maybe... We're gonna keep working at it and hope to get some new videos with him writing on his own soon!!
