I'm glad to see a video on this. I personally own a 7 string bass and i've had no problems whatsoever with the tunings. A tuner is a tuner and there is no need to spend $300 on a Korg tuner over a stupid name. Now when it comes to amps.... that would be another story. Ha
Scratch my previous comment i just figured out how to configure the chromatic setting to be used with drop c tuning am very happy with this tuner, for the price you cant go wrong!
I think Shane was referring to the florescent lights underneath the unit, not the LED readout. Your video doesn't show how this mounts in the rack, so he was thinking the bottom lights would be up against the top of the unit in the rack space directly underneath. I was thinking the same thing...until I noticed that the the curvature of the front of the unit actually extends the lights out beyond the rack mounts allowing it to shine OVER the front of the unit below it. Am I correct?
@shanespookshow This unit is meant for being at the top of your rack mount. no matter how dark the stage area is you can see the note you are tuning on the unit even in pitch black rooms.
I know I'm a little late here, but I think the answer he was looking for is that the front of this unit is at an angle and isn't flush with the front of the other units, so the lights are peeking over the edge a little.
As to those reporting about the BTR2000 not picking up the low E, they were probably bass players. At Talkbass.com, there are comments on how this unit struggles with low bass notes, and that most other tuners -- including Korg -- do better. I haven't tried this tuner, but I did try the one built-in my Behringer Bass V-Amp Pro. I found it nearly useless, whereas my Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro's tuner works just fine.
I Was Gonna Get This Till I Seen The Korg PB05 , I Wasn't Happy With The Guitar Amp I Had From Behringer It Was 150 Watts It Rocked But I'm More Of A Crate Sound When I Play Guitar , I'm A Bass Player But I'm Pickie When I Buy Things I Save N Try To Get The Best , If I Gotta Go W/O Smokes For A Day To Get The Best I Guess Im Gonna Be A DIck One Day Of The Mnth lol ~ Pretty Kool Tuner Though ~
Can you use a footswitch with this? My band has this plan to mount our wireless units to one rack and then run that to our amps to keep things clean on the floor but I want a rackmount tuner as well because obviously tuning is essentil and i dont want to have to run a cable out to the tuner on the floor and back so if this has a footswitch option thatd workout perfect so i could stomp and turn back to the rack.
Ive just bought one of these to fit in my rack alongside my Peavey 700 head.Not gigged with it yet but straight away can see i'll have a problem reading the chromatic readout as it will sit quite low on my Peavey 15" cab and i'll be stood up. But,my question to those of you in the know,How to connect it up? I have bass into tuner input,lead from tuner main output at the back to head aux input at the back of my head.This seems to work but LEDs on all the time when playing.Advice please anyone.
Hi, what dou you think abaout Behringer BTR 2000 turner?. Are you happy with it?. Is good product?. I'm not sure to buy the tuner becuase the brand behringer is not good, but for the price.... Thanks !
How do i run this threw a maximizer and my head and get the sound from the behringer etc , gets old having to un plug and plug into the tuner to tune , i should be able just to tune and not have to unplug n e thing , n e advice would be killer , i have my sonic max running threw the tuner and out threw my head but im not getting the metronome or n e other sound i think i have it hooked up wrong ~
I also have this tuner and one of the bands i play in use DRop C tuning but i cant get any of the notes to appear on the device. I hit the low C and it comes up with F or A then when i hit the high D it just come up with a dash. And thats with the guitar already tuned properlly by my boss. Just wondering if you had to do any configuration to get yours tuning in drop C and if so what?? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
So does it work ok for standard tunings from your experience? I tune to Standard and Drop D but that is the lowest we have tuned (so far) haha also if you ordered yours from bhphoto.com did it ship pretty quickly or were there any issues? Thanks
Hey there, I've been looking into these for a few days and I need a tuner for my rack. I see you got this a little over a year ago. Is it still working pretty good?
BASS GUITAR LOW E, WONT DO IT. GOTTA FRET UP NOT HUGE DEAL,UNLESS INTONATION IS BLISTERINGLY OFF!!(IS THAT A WORD?) ITS A NICE TUNER,AND LOTTA OPTIONS THAT JIVE WITH ME. EH,HORNS UP BRO

I only used it with guitars that were dropped down and as far as bass, did not try lower than CGCF
no complaints
You wouldn't happen to have a bass to test it on?
I'm thinking of buying one for my bass rack..
sick thanks man
@AntLefty Yeah i was just wondering if it did Sharp tunings aswell as just standard ones. I know some don't that's all! :)
you can link it through your amp, has inputs and outputs

Yes it can@MrExplorerman101
@Trevorcjx
I was able to tune as low as B, but it was via guitar.

if the lights are directly under it, how would they light anything up ? like wouldnt the top of the thing under it just block out the light ?

Hi thanks for the video,
Is possible the tuner work with the sound of tha amp?, The turner only works if you conecting your guitar with jack cable?

The only way to get rid of the LEDs when playing is to turn the power off.
@rossmillerlol yes it will
My band plats in drop c, which is lower than c# so yes it will.

Can this pickup drop A for a 7 string?
My band play in Drop C# Would this tuner work for that tuning?
Hey there, I've been looking into these for a few days and I need a tuner for my rack.
I see you got this a little over a year ago. Is it still working pretty good?
this thing works with bass????
Does anybody have experience tuning to drop G with this? I know C seems to work fine, just unsure if the super low tuning would work out. Thanks!
