The Incel Killer: Elliot Rodger & His Day of Retribution |

  • Elliot Rodger was born in 1991, to a upper-middle class family and although he was shy, he was a pretty normal kid.
    However as this shyness and introversion began to hinder his social life, he got older he began to grow bitter and resentful towards his peers. He found it hard to fit in, he struggled to talk to the opposite sex and often felt confused as to why this happened him.
    These, of course, are normal parts of growing up for many teenagers and young adults, but instead of persevering, Elliot became resentful, violent and dangerous. As Elliot became further isolated from society, his thoughts and fantasies became more extreme, helped along by a group of men he found online, who identified as "involuntarily celibate".
    This is the story of how Elliot Rodger's narcissism and anger became so extreme, he went on a violent rampage in 2014 and took the life of 6 innocent people and may have influenced a string of violent incels for years to come.

    I was recently rejected for a job that I desperately wanted.
    I spent several months prepping and trying to get selected for the position.
    I filled with sadness and rage over the rejection and spent the last few days in awful moods.
    After watching Roger’s story, I feel several times better about my life. 😂

    Really good analysis there. Feel like I can relate to a lot of Rodger's frustrations in not fitting in, not being part of parties and I didn't have a girlfriend myself until 32, but it did not manifest in many of the same ways that it did with Rodger in terms of wanting to take revenge etc, did walk out of college classes and such. His case will always be one of the most interesting because to me its about social exclusion. he also to me does not seem much many other serial killers, it was an explosion of frustration, I wonder if some positive interventions had happened and he'd found a good niche for himself if it all would have turned out differently, ie no day of retribution. Then again it has ended this way with some other very socially and non romantically frustrated people such as George Sodini who was deeply frustrated that he was lonely and couldn't attract a female partner despite dating efforts, he was a white collar man who ended up going postal, possibly the actual first example of inceldom being the motive for serial killings. Subjecting somebody to bullying in high school could also be part of the reason why it ends up with someone going postal.

    Damn, Elliot Rodger missed these very important lessons in life:
    1. you do not have to be a cool person to get people being into you, you have to be a good person.
    2. Don't chase for anything superficial such as sex, money, fame, power to make yourself happy, chase something that will make you geniunely happy for a long time.
    3. Make your dreams a reality through focus, commitment, hard work, and sheer will. Nothing comes easy wallowing in despair.

      @raisou9750 Год назад +1

      @Duke of Lancaster excuse the dark sentence here, but what can we do when he's dead? Turn back time and tell him this? For the record, I will say those words for it to serve as a lesson for life.

      @yagovmolotov5127 Год назад +2

      1. Nobody gives a shit if your a good person
      2. Only men have to pursue sex money and power, women just get with guys that have money and power, and of course screw who ever they fancy.
      3. That point I can agree with. But it's not as simple as you make it.

    • @logicaldebateUSA
      @logicaldebateUSA Год назад +2

      @@raisou9750 #1. That is a blatant lie. Who taught you that lesson?
      If you are a gorgeous man or woman based on American standards there will be many into you without you even talking. You could be a really bad person and that is not going to change that until you show that side.
      If you are a good person but are considered really unattractive and you are awful at talking to people you are attracted to you are going to struggle.
      #2. Temporary pleasures could have prevented him from doing what he did. Out of 100% of humans who have snapped in human history some of them never took pleasure drugs or had sex and even some who did, did not have that right before they snapped.
      Even getting a back massage really helps some people to relax.
      With that being said he comes off like he needs therapy and medication more than sex.
      Having something that makes you happy for a long time is a great goal to have but if chasing and getting some superficial goal had given him enough temporary happiness to not do what he did would you still say that lesson?
      #3. What he did at the end took focus, commitment, hard work, and sheer will in the sense he planned it.
      A lazy person would have been too lazy to do that.
      "Nothing comes easy wallowing in despair."
      Telling someone not to feel sorry for themselves is not going to be enough for someone like him.
      He needed someone to teach him how to approach and talk to women. If he did not feel sorry for himself it would not have changed that. The same as him needing therapy and medication.
      ___________________
      Your heart seems to be in the right place but your lessons would not have helped him.

    "At all the critical points in [Elliot's] life, which he outlined in his manifesto, he got his way by crying to his mother, it was the only consistent method by which he dealt with the world. The ultimate spoiled little prince. His mother would gladly fly around the world to save her son from the “excruciating torture” of having to be bored in a foreign country. She transferred him from one school to the next when he endured the “insufferable terror” of hearing a recording of two of his classmates having sex, or being pushed into his locker. At no point was he made to deal with his circumstances, and at every point, he was made to feel weak and helpless, and that the only recourse was to throw a temper tantrum. This sad, pathetic state being precipitated by his parents and their belief that lavishing their son with expensive toys, and snapping to attention every time there were tears in his eyes was acceptable parenting stunted his existence to the point that as an adult―a psychotic, delusional, mentally-imbalanced adult―he had not progressed past the first few years of life, in terms of his coping mechanisms. He threw a fit and got what he wanted all throughout his life, and then, when he finally began to reach adulthood, he began to realize that the rest of the world didn't feel inclined to accommodate his temper tantrums. What else could lead a fully-grown adult to believe that trying to push women over a balcony didn't constitute responsibility as the aggressor in that situation?"

      Idk why/how you already know these men ll treat them like crap (i m talking about the relatively healthy developed personalities bcs in other cases ppl may have identified love w pain or indifference etc).. So the nowdays western NT have adopted the elites values & that s why it s called "narcis sistic society" years now = ppl live far from themselves, valuing appearences (women status/$ as main things to look for at a partner, men beauty/se x so it isn t a woman s thing or something that caracterises romantic relationships only but all relatuonships = ppl avoid intimacy, invest time/energy to know the other..), the masses live also w egocentricity, unempathetically in short like disordered ppl do. A sick society. "Century of the self", Fromm s "The sane society", many ppl describe the situation, Vaknin is great to me e.g "Narcissist s extrinsic values.." on yt =a 30min video on how ppl are manipulated & live like that. Incels are just the consequence of the change in ppl s way of being (& ofc mental illnesses have multiplied. These ppl live w egocentricity etc bcs of their mental condition. The video ll help to see the connection of egocentricity w extrinsic values. For NT they forgot or never found them selves & their unconscious was hijacked by propaganda etc & they also live w extrinsic values.

    WHAT IS AN INCEL? I keep seeing and hearing these videos, but never have it explained to me. What is it? Is it just men that don’t quote “get women?” Is it a person that can’t get women but there’s also signs of becoming one when you’re little? Is there a science to the behaviour? This is talked about AAAAALLL the time so someone has to know?

      @@circustoonsjokevideos "INCEL" stands for Involuntary Celibate. Essentially, they did not conscientiously choose to be celibate but are fated to be celibate. Only a very few (less than 1%) become spree killers (Elliot Rodger was a spree killer, not serial killer) or serial killers. Pattern I have noticed with Incels is they are awkward in social settings, have difficulty making friends within their own gender (male-male), usually involved in solitary hobbies vs. team sports. Basically, they have difficulty with any kind of relationship; some incels are on Autism Spectrum but not all.

      when ur a kid you dont have to really worry about things like being attractive or how many girls liked you no one has unfair advantages then when u hit puberty your life either becomes heaven on earth or a living hell it all depends on how many girls like you or if girls like you at all - elliot rodger

    • @JennyClaffey

      @@beganitdidnt6535 Yes it can. Nobody's life is made 'heaven on earth' just because puberty is slightly easier on them than their friend who for example, gets acne. There are a myriad of human experiences that actually make someone's life miserable; poverty, abuse, depression, broken familial relationships...I could go on. Sure not connecting romantically with those you're attracted to can feel isolating but to see this as a life altering experience is incredibly myopic.
      Life goes on and on and on after puberty, your frontal lobe develops, you learn who you really are. I know you incels seems to think your experience is incredibly individual but every single person feels like the odd one out when they are young.
      Statistics even show that the majority of incels age out of inceldom, those who remain in this state typically become alcoholics, addicts or just end up neck deep in an echo-chamber of people who want the worst for them.
      Stop giving women and sex such power over your life and happiness, it's a waste of energy.

    @miesvaillanykyisyytta3252 Год назад +2

    The idea you're describing in the beginning is black pilled. Incel is a circumstance where most men find themselves between relationships. You have to ask yourself if the average man on the street can get no-strings-attached sex on a whim? Imagine the average guy on the street walking with confidence and telling you about his exploits. You would most likely find it a comedy sketch because you can usually tell a person's love life by their looks. So unless a man is in a relationship he is usually an incel.
    It looks like you're tarnishing some arguments or research with the 'incel' tag, which is good enough for a lot of people today who rely on second hand sources to form their opinions.

    • @JennyClaffey
      @JennyClaffey  Год назад +5

      You must have selective hearing because I quite literally stated that there is much more about incels than I can cover in a 30 minute video.
      You point about no string sex is a paradox; men aren’t entitled to no strings attached sex, but the reason most men can’t get it is because generally speaking, women don’t want it. If we do, it’s gonna be with someone we know and trust, not some mouth breather who has 4chan bookmarked

      @@JennyClaffey Regarding your first paragraph I see no contradiction. Just because there is more about incels does not mean you did not use words the way you did.
      "If we do, it’s gonna be with someone we know and trust"
      Obviously. And in this day and age women are not having less sex than before but men are which also goes back to the earlier point about most men being incels between relationships while the hottest men are being known and trusted (and are thrusting). I don't know what's wrong with bookmarking 4chan but apparently you know more about that than I do.

      Good-looking men aren't having more sex. It could add up like what happened to Elliott. They are maybe introverted. They can be more misread, misjudged. Elliot thought that the women had something against him, said so in his car. You see his look, they don't know if he is gay or straight. Y'all know he could pass for like many different races, Greek, Italian Chinese Indian Spanish and more so fourth! He has an elusive thing going on, that no one can really pinpoint. And he knew he had these qualities. Maybe a little narcissistic to. He couldn't be like Tom Cruise who was an extrovert... Women don't really care about looks anymore. You look good, they expect you to throw on a dress 👗.

You will never find attactive partner. I suggest u to work on being more feminine and creating feminine content(if your partner gives u permission). Emilfs like u can't get views. The only way u get views is via having a daughter. Make her a youtuber at her most peak fertile stage and u do all behind the scene work if u really want to be successful. But I don't recommend.
