The thig you call "outline sculpt" is probably the single most useful teaching that I found on internet about drawing!
If you can, please make some more pen and ink video on this technique applied to mountains, woods or terrains, or even more generic like applying it to doodles. I'll try to practice this every day :)
    A very big thank you!

Amazing. The male figure is such a challenge. Adding references and resources from the master himself Michelangelo is just superb. This is how you learn how to draw!!!

Great, as usual. Your analysis is key to understanding the whole process: helps us to split complex daunting forms into easiest and more feasible ones. Michelangelo's famous answer about how he sculpted ( "I just remove from the marble block the stuff that is not necessary") was just for a show: he really must have built his figures following the technique you show us. Thanks, maestro.

Man, have you made a structured basics, intermediate, etc tutorial and marketed it at all? I really think you could make some cash. People love to buy chunks of knowledge prepackaged. I appreciate the ease to many levels of technique and style. Your range is rare and very impressive. But more importantly it kindles my love for pen and ink that I thought had been quenched. But I can feel sparks leaping in the 'inner cockles of my soul". Thank you sir!

I like very much the renaissance period, and you kinda (''kinda'' because i don't know if someone really know how Leonardo or Miguelangelo painted, his exact technique, for example) remake the way that they work, and i think that's marvellous. Hi Alphonso, I have a question regarding thigh anatomy and more specifically that part that tends to bulge in certain situations which I don't think is the femur. I'm gonna paste a slightly gory image of a very skinny model because it's easier to see (it's not a real person anyway) s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/cc/f8/6d/ccf86dbd90e550f518bed5baa4559c8f.jpg
See that bulge on the first photo that makes the thigh curve on the second? Is that the rectus femoris or the femur?
Also, this bulge is next to a very hollow part on the inner part of the leg and then there is this other bulge that also look like bone but can't be. Is this the abductor? Is it muscle to or tendons?
    I hope you can help,
    Sarah xx

Hey Alphonso I applied for a job at another Tattoo Studio and the guy told I have to be able to draw tattoos out of my head and I told him i like to use a reference of whatever Im drawing and he acted like i suck!!! But when i saw his finished tattoo the proportions were way off ;) isnt it normal to look at a reference if its something you have never drawn before or you just cant picture it? Even some pros still need a reference sometimes right? i think he should hire me and learn from me what i learned from you :) Keep pumping the vids out bro your a big help!!!! :)
