You have not one, not 2 but 3 chances to close it out and 2 at home and you still can't do it. They were just flat in the 2nd half of the series. @@bdjsjshhehehd8989 How was it even for both teams? Golden State Warriors had Kevin Durant , Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Cleveland had LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and JR Smith. That’s even to you?
he choked in the 2015 Finals too... He was lucky every Cavs player was Injured and Igoudala was there to bail his shitty play out. If Irving didn't get injured in the ECF Cavs win 2015 too... Especially with those video game numbers LeBron was dishing out.
I didn't believe at first that the Cavs would have won even with Kyrie in 2015, but the 2016 Finals showed all LeBron needed was offensive help from just ONE guy. Love played like shit offensively and the Cavs were able to win in spite of that. And to people saying Curry was just missing shots, maybe that had to do with the Cavs' defense, which from Game 3 onwards was excellent. And also to the ones who say Bogut would have made a difference, the Cavs had already figured out the Warriors in Game 3. If LeBron plays better in Game 4, that series is over in 6 instead of 7.
Somebody should create a huge poster with vertical spacing that includes every 3 point attempt displayed in this video and the subsequent miss of the relative shot. Then at the bottom put the following: "Live by the 3, die by the 3".

No doubt Steph choked like crazy, but it's insane how many people went from loving him to just having pure hatred for him. I have no clue why, he didn't do anything to them. I can understand Klay because of his comments towards Lebron, but what did Steph ever do??
When people tried to say Lebron Chokes I made this argument then and I'll make it now. Choking is not simply missing shots. Choking is 1. Shying away from taking shots you'd normally take 2. Coming completely off target on shots you'd normally take (not as in one brick but several in the clutch) 3. Taking and missing shots you've not customarily taken in the past 4. Turning the ball over continuously when not under extreme duress (traps or doubles) Don't be a Skip Bayless and throw around words because you're too stupid to use substance. Steph curry UNDERPERFORMED, he was poor in these finals. He did not choke, he did not shy away from the moment, he just didn't perform in it. For example Lebron has choked once 2011 finals. Every other time he's not come up but he didn't choke or shy away. Apart from 2011
let's see first the behind the back pass attempt was dumb, the threes he's been missing that was shown on the vid were the 3s that he normally makes in the regular season and add to that he averaged more turnovers than assist in the finals which ultimately hurt his team, so it is safe to say that he choked in this finals
"Choked" and "played terrible and couldn't make a basket" are pretty similar in currys case. Please don't ever even mention lebrons name in a paragraph with curry ever, ever again though.
2014 he choked as well he kept dissapearing than stat padding at the end of games. also 2010 against boston he was accused of quitting so thats a choke
Ik this comment was 4 years ago, but I couldn’t agree more. It honestly just pisses me off. For example in 2019, curry missed the game winning shot in the finals, everyone saying it’s ok. But if lebron missed that shot? They’ll all be saying “lechoke” “lebron not clutch” and make that a permanent stain on his legacy
And a year later, Stephen Curry and the Warriors had tears of joy when they won it all over LeBron and company. It took them one year to overcome their 3-1 collapse with an NBA title and the best postseason in NBA history to boot. You people can't mock the Warriors because they won a title. The teams who won NBA titles to overcome their 3-1 collapses: Warriors, Spurs, 76ers and Lakers should not be mocked. The teams who have yet to win an NBA title to overcome their 3-1 collapse: Suns 2x, Thunder, Knicks, Magic and the Clippers. Those are the teams you peeps should go after.
Curry is soooo overrated. Obviously he's a Hall Of Famer and a great player but people get out of hand and start putting him on the level of someone like Lebron Jordan etc
whats interesting is that he treated this game like a regular season game, smiling and biting on his buttplug when they were down with 30 seconds left, and attempts a behind the back pass
@@baldelonmusk8068 bro are y’all dumb? He shot the ball for clout? Did u not watch the series? They ran a box in one on him whenever klay wasn’t in the game. They ran up a play and that was the best look Steph would get at a shot.
Looking back on this, Curry’s completely elevated as a decision maker since then. He was already great, but his decision making in crunch time was questionable. Now, he almost always makes the right decision in those final moments. That 2022 championship was the culmination of all his mishaps in the clutch to be cool and composed in crunch time. This game sucked for him, but he needed it to grow from it.
vTex assassin1 Carrying who? You mean Klay Thompson the man who scored 40+ in an elimination game? Or Draymon who went 26-12-9 in game 7???? While curry went 4-14 from three with less than 20 points?
vTex assassin1 I’m a realists. Curry was praised for being soooo good and better than Lebron and the best PG ever....when in reality......he shrinks when the spotlight is on him. Draymond, KD and Klay have saved this man so many times
As a Warriors fan, this is a super painful video to see. However, you are 10000% correct that Curry totally choked this game away. Unnecessary behind the back pass, missing wide open three's, not taking the layup and passing it to Iguadola, etc. Props to Lebron and the Cavs for winning (especially Kyrie for hitting the dagger). In my opinion though, this game was more lost by Curry than won by Lebron.
+Monkey2Funky How? Tied game for over 4 minutes late, with steph himself commiting costly turnovers and missing 5 basket attempts to go ahead in the game. Look lebron played phenomenal, especially that block on iggy and hitting the dagger free throw. But considering curry missed all the attempts to go ahead in the game and blew the isolation play against kyrie and failed to score with kevin freaking love defending him, curry more choked than lebron won. That's just my opinion though. I'm obviously biased as a warriors fan, and more inclined to blame steph.
@@geordiejones5618 no I was talking about another game. No fucking shit yea he may have hit a buzzer beater but how the hell do you travel while missing a layup? King my ass
@@swervoo9197 would you be a fan of a man who flops and calls himself a king with his 5 losses in the finals? And has to move from team to team just to make it into the playoffs?
And what happened a year later...Stephen Curry and the Warriors win the NBA title over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Stephen Curry doesn't have to worry about the 2016 NBA Finals Game 7 any longer.
WhyWhere I disagree, because winning an NBA title erases that bad memory. There are 11 3-1 collapses in NBA history and the Warriors join the Spurs, Lakers and 76ers are the only teams that won NBA titles to overcome their collapses. The Suns, Thunder, Magic, Clippers and Knicks have yet to win a NBA title to erase their 3-1 blown leads.
@TheSaltMaker Well, there's a thing called unrestricted free agency and Kevin Durant was a UFA after the 2015-16 NBA season. It was KD's choice to take the Warriors' bait or not and he took the bait and helped the Dubs win back-to-back titles including a 16-1 postseason and a title to boot. C'Mon Man.

How many rings does kyrie have compared to curry?
@@nbadude1408how many rings does steph curry have compared to robert horry?
When people tried to say Lebron Chokes I made this argument then and I'll make it now. Choking is not simply missing shots. Choking is
1. Shying away from taking shots you'd normally take
2. Coming completely off target on shots you'd normally take (not as in one brick but several in the clutch)
3. Taking and missing shots you've not customarily taken in the past
4. Turning the ball over continuously when not under extreme duress (traps or doubles)
Don't be a Skip Bayless and throw around words because you're too stupid to use substance.
It's funny that once LeBron has a bad game or chokes in a clutch moment everybody is going nuts, but if Steph chokes, no one blinks an eye.

Looking back on this, Curry’s completely elevated as a decision maker since then. He was already great, but his decision making in crunch time was questionable.
