My alarm progressively gets louder until it’s turned off. I only turn it off after the collective screams of my mother and sister at my door are so loud I am shamed into getting up after having woken everyone up hours before they have to get up.

Read a lot of reviews and the vendor's ad videos. An alarm clock that runs away? My sleeping brain: Perfect. The farther the better, goodnight.
There is a way you can override that runaway feature. Just put it on a tray, leave the tray open and that when the wheels start turning it will be trapped in the tray

Why not just keep a regular alarm clock at the other corner of the room for which you would have to wake up walk upto it and turn it off, essentially achieving the same goal as by the clocky.

Got one of these 8 years ago(either Amazon or Walmart don't recall), lasted many years. Then after the wheel finally broke off I had to replace it which was easier said than done, bought 2 replacements from Amazon and the first one wouldn't run at all and the second one wouldn't let me adjust the time after a few uses. still struggling to wake up after trying many different alarms so I may try the official website this thing's sold on instead.
I'd sleep through it. However, it might be a fun cat toy :-)

I'd also remove one of the wheels, so it just spins round and round, firing indiscriminately at random intervals, with 33-round magazines optional for *really* d̶e̶a̶d̶ heavy sleepers!
Considering the amount of energy it was need in the motors, this will kill any alkaline battery out there in no time.
NiMH would be ideal, but that means I will need to unscrew it every week to recharge the batteries.

People watching and scrolling through the comments (You may certainly disagree with my suggestion), this is for you all: Unless you don't have an iPhone, iPad, or Android don't by this $40-$45 "Clocky". Your iPhone/iPad already has a built-in alarm (in the "Clock" app), so when you're about to sleep, turn your alarm on and place it far enough away from your bed so you can't snooze it every 5 minutes. It does the same result; you have to climb out of bed to stop it. So this thing, is very much, in my opinion, useless.

Nah bro 😂 I’m tired of relying on my phone to wake me up every morning. I sleep thru almost every alarm, & it’ll die anyways if you don’t charge it every night. It works for most “normal” people. But not for people like me that are very deep sleepers
