If you cannot find the "Stabilize" filter, you might have to disable GPU Processing (howto: ruclips.net/video/dJtzkwpbhzg/видео.html ) - Stabilize filter *does* exist in 18.05.08 on Windows 64bit
Please use a shaky video that’s hard to watch because of how shaky it is that really demonstrates this. This video was pretty smooth to begin with. Thanks in advance
you wont be able to perform miracles. If you stabilize a really shake video you will get a lot of warping and other artifacts. It will probably be stabilized and cropped but far from perfect. There is a video here on YT when some one is stabilizing a video with a rabbit in it, the video has heavy warping.
Thank you so much for this brilliant life saver video. I was totally dependent on the RUclips built in enhancement features until they removed them. Now I have access to even more video tools thanks to Shotcut and this amazing video. Kudos and sincere appreciation!
thank you, useful. I would find it easier to see the difference if you started with a much more shaky clip though.. I have some taken from a kayak on a rolling sea which is seriously wobbly!! :D I'll look up that software, much appreciated.
First of all accuracy is lower when you increase the value. Try setting it to 1 and analyze again. Second, the smoothness isn't percentage but the number of frames before and after to take into account. It's nice that you are making tutorial videos, but it would be nicer if you at least learned what you're supposed to teach.
I have just checked 17.09.04, "stabilize" is not listed under the filters. I checked the debug messages and it says that the filter is added. -Also in the debug messages the "wave" filter is listed as reading from meta.qml which is the same qml file as stabilize.- *[Not same metafile just have same filenames]* The wave filter is present in the filters list and works fine. I will check some of the older versions and comment on my findings. Incidentally I am using the pre-compiled version on Linux if anyone is able to corroborate my findings on Windows that would be great.
+Tux Designer +Andrew M. Sheppard I have gone back through versions of Shotcut until I hit a version with stabilize. Here are the results: *Version* *Stabilize filter present* *[ 17.03.02* -- _Y_ *]* *[ 17.04.02* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.05.03* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.06.01* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.08.01* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.09.04* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.11.07* -- _N_ *]* *[ 17.12.03* -- _N_ *]* *[ 18.01.02* -- _N_ *]* *[ 18.03.06* -- _N_ *]* *[ 18.05.08* -- _N_ *]* All of the above are pre-compiled versions direct from shotcut Testing OS - Ubuntu16.04LTS
*Strobe Effect* Slightly off topic, but I notice that when I shoot a video in doors where there is a very light background, I sometimes get a strobe effect on my videos. If this happens can Shotcut also cure this? Or any suggestions on how to prevent this to start with?
In shotcut it's too complicated so far. But there is one cool method in Kdenlive that works ruclips.net/video/2rv-wLzrK88/видео.html (unless it's broken in windows version..) and one method that can be done with any video editor: ruclips.net/video/9HTdqQW3jWE/видео.html
Yeah, same. I just downloaded a different editor. The stabilization on Movavi editor works a lot better but it is a trial and I am not sure if that feature is free after the trial ends

Exactly

Super helpful! My old GoPro does not have stablization and the videos were making me sick. I can now watch them.

awesome to hear that this is useful!
thank you. it's very clear, lovely tips, and good to follow :)
Great video Sir. Please give me the full name of the software. Is it compatible with windows 7. Please

Thank you, was looking for that.
Hiii.... I got one problem... While watching videos.... It's coming shakes.... What should I do

Shouldn't this information be available in the software? Maybe as a hover over tooltip or a simple explanation text?
@@doctormo Yup, that should've been implemented
i think u should show before and after side by side, so we can see the difference
What version of shotcut is this? I can't seem to find the stabilize filter. I have checked 18.05, 17.10 and 18.01.
I think I made this with a 17.12 version a while ago.
Ok cool. I will check that out thanks for the reply.
Oh, i didn't see the info about versions tested in Tarek's comment! I'll doublecheck the version and update the description later today

nice vid. is there also a non linear slow motion feature in shortcut like there is in slowmovideo software?
You can change speed in the clip properties. Not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Johnny Debt I think that’s from a fast shutter speed. Lower the shutter speed and the flickering should go away
Thank you! ;)
Do you know how to make the video shake using keyframes like all those youtubers do when something dramatic happens?

where did the camera shakiness fix go in you tube editing

I dont have stablize or GPU processing option on 18.08.14 only " GPU effects (experimental)"
They renamed it. It's the same thing (with GPU in the name). There is a newer version out already by the way.
