Laser bear makes 3D printed adapters that basically inserts into the GC loader inside the case. And has a port on it, it’ll fill in the space where the optical drive was and makes it look more finished and complete. Would be worth getting as it’s very simple to add on.

It was apparently used in a prison (taped all around it with markings from the holding facility, glued/cemented memory card so no in-mate could take it away. Hey just found your channel today, I’m South Korean and was born in Seoul but have lived here since I was 5. I’ve brought home numerous Japanese/Korean market consoles and accessories on my visits to SK during the summer and it’s really cool to see a hot rodded GameCube like yours! Great channel man! One way I’ve found to upscale is using my Emotiva 16 channel Dolby Atmos processor to upscale any 480-1080p sources to 4K without adding any latency. I’ve been doing it for a couple years now with no issues. In all reality depending on native resolution, viewing distance and display device a 720p/1080p native image upscaled to 4K may not be that great. I’ve tested it both with an 85” Samsung QN95 QLED as well as an LG G1 OLED and my 4K short throw laser projector and all in all it certainly makes it cleaner and more presentable.

With all the new real estate inside the machine from removing the CD drive you might be able to get someone to wire the adapters internally so it's just an HDMI port on the back.
There are 3D printed inserts to make the GCLoader easier to access and look nicer. I got mine from Laser Bear, the orange version matches the spice orange GameCube almost perfectly. Also, in Swiss, if you mark a file in Windows on the SDCard as "Hidden", it will not show up in the listing in Swiss, so you can hide stuff like Swiss itself. Do you have the spice orange Gameboy Advance yet? It matches the spice orange GameCube perfectly and is a perfect combo IMO.
I agree with the 3d printed insert, looks incomplete without it. Thanks for the info on hiding files in Swiss. What a great tip! I currently own a Xeno chip modded purple GameCube w/ a matching color GB Player and 1x matching color controller. Thanks to MVG's video from 2018 or 2019, I was able to find out what to purchase afterwards such as the memory card adapter that plugs into the player 2 slot so it can read my ROMs (GC games and/or misc) based on the DOL (app) tied to the console it emulates by way of S.W.I.S.S. burnt onto a mini-DVD in the disc tray. Recently as of last week, I just ordered the Marseille mClassic as well on sale for $80 at GameStop which should be arriving by the end of the month 😊...
I'm not sure if you want to do extra, but there's extra GBI benefits if you pair your system to a Retrotink 5x. For the GCHD, it's perfect as it has the Wii slot.
Holy moly I just bought an mClassic as soon as you said it. That looks so so much better. I thought my video output for GC was as good as it was gonna get without some ridiculous mod. More importantly, I can use it for all of my consoles!!
man the mclassic anti aliasing looks really good, but the contrast and color treatment looks kind of different with it on. I definitely like the AA but the contrast I found myself liking in some of the games better without it, based on these clips.
To be fair, I've been thinking about SD card modification to some of my consoles, because unlike my cartridge games, my disk based media collection seems to degrade more rapidly. Where many of my disk games which were working when I last tried them a few years ago, are not working now. Which I'm not sure if its disk rot, or the optical drive at issue. But ultimately, I'm not wanting to have to continuously rebuy games in my collection, especially when some are way more expensive than when I originally procured them. So an SD card solution is something I'm looking into, even if it seems like a more technical solution, and less plug and play than I'd like.
Gamecube for life. I remember I was in 6th grade. Someone picked me to go on vacation with them literally because I had the Gamecube with the gba loader and the top screen attachment so it was like a portable super cube. I play all my gamecube stuff on my modded wii now but something about the system and it's snug fitting accessories is infinitely cool.
ah yes, the Japanese Spice Orange GameCube. i did the same thing with my Black Gamecube, had to pay 80 bucks for my gameboy player, came with the disc too. also got the M classic dongle and the EON HD MKII as well. makes games look so good.
I always wanted a GameCube as a kid even though I had the ps2 and I always thought the cubed design and controller was cool but I was stoked years later when I got the og wii and it was backwards compatible
With re4 you also have to configure your tv settings like the gamma…etc. it hasn’t aged well on a 4K tv. And it will be stretched out depending on the scaler settings you are using. If your tv is too bright re4 GameCube will look really bad. But if configured properly it will look really good.
You could have kept your disc drive and used an SD card adapter to run swiss/games through memory card port or serial port on bottom of the system. Another tip, the MKII allows you to use Wii component cables. It's stunning on a CRT. Congrats on jumping into Swiss though. It's absolutely game changing for playing Gameboy games.
*regarding mclassic 6:06 (pause the video) look closely at Mario’s or the shadows outline, mclassic on the right is smooth out the edge’s with good results

3:14 - You're recording this in 2043? What's life like? Did the ozone layer melt?
Spoiler Alert! 😂
By the way, invest in Water futures... Trust me. 😜
Yeah just recently got that gamecube itch as well. Just an awesome console!
HECK yah! My dream is to get one of the "Tales of Symphonia" Mint Green consoles someday.
Great set up!
MetalJesus uploading is awesome, but him uploading gamecube videos is even better
the difference with that m classic is impressive
It's really frickin' great that some things can be improved...🤘🏼💯✔️
Love this, is probably not even too expensive unless one really wants an orange Cube and GB Player.
Awesome video man 😎!
Fantastic video you rock
i need this setup asap!! so sick!!
I'm glad I got my Gameboy Player and start up disc for about $50, that was 7 years ago. I'm happy I picked it up back then.
Gamecube collecting is hot right now. LONG LIVE PHYSICAL MEDIA! Great Video MJR.
Couldn't agree more!
MJR IT'S HORIZON RELEASE DAY !!!! I'm hoping we're going to be in similar situations throughout the weekend :) Have a blessed start to your weekend.
Gonna pick it up at lunch!
THE SPICE MUST FLOW
Nice upgrades!
YEA! The King of Nintendo is back!!
I don't feel satisfied without seeing metal Jesus rock face in his videos
You rock man, The game cube had some cool games
*regarding mclassic
6:06 (pause the video) look closely at Mario’s or the shadows outline, mclassic on the right is smooth out the edge’s with good results
