What happend to me at the end to get the final quest: I could loot the key without speaking before to Illari because someone else talked to her before, shortly.
So if you get the key from droped pouch and clicking the box and nothing is happening, its just opening and closing, you need to talk to her when she respawns.

if youre solo and low level (30) use the fence near the field to juggle her pathing ... took 20 mins to kill her , but solod her at 30 lol
